dere5:Unfortunately, having a medical visa is no guarantee, speaking from personal experience. I applied for a medical visa, presented the package I was going to use for the child birth purpose, I was given the medical visa, proceeded to use it, had a total medical bill of over $10k, paid ALL my bills, crossed all my T's and dotted all my I's. Traveled twice after initial child birth on same medical visa. Fast forward to time of renewal, I was invited in for an interview and denied a visa, was not pregnant, just trying to renew for holiday and shopping purposes. I am not trying to be a Debbie downer here, just felt I should put this out there, so people are more prepared for the outcome of their interview and if possible plan early for other countries that give similar opportunities like the US. It is obvious there is a vendetta against Nigeria. I am yet to see someone who falls under the bucket of child birth who has successfully renewed their visa in the last 6months. P.S: If you are applying for a medical visa, take a package that shows at least 15k as the total bill and be able to show you can pay it, still not a guarantee as these people are currently VEXING. All the best guys. |
author=lynniebabes post=73555113]Please has anyone used a doctor in Houston Methodist hospital. Please give me there number. Needed urgently oh. Help a sister I used it in 2016, mail me and I will hook you up. Cheers! |
Honestly, I don't think you need to reapply, do send a letter of change of intent (though that has been over flogged). If there is a clear difference between the day you were granted a visa and when you took in then you should be fine, also I hope you have a genuine reason for not travelling before now, just endeavour you travel with your Dr's correspondence, part payment of bills if possible and enough money to show you can settle remaining bills. I beg nothing is cast on stone. Be confident but not cocky and above all pray for God's favour. All the best! Unfelt: |
Momo13 check the previous page, I replied your question, hope it helps. |
Momo13:Hi @Momo, I don't think you need to put the hospital name as organisation and contact person if you have got family / friends you are staying with. I applied for B2 visa with hubby about a month and half ago and we were granted. In the place of contact person , we filled our family friends' details and organisation we left the field empty. We went with our burden of proof and the only thing the VO requested for was hospital correspondence which we passed acrossed to him, in the pile it had the evidence of deposit we had made so far and he confirmed from us as well. I don't think you should fret. If you can start up correspondence with your intended hospital ASAP, it is best you do, otherwise as you have been advised be truthful with the VO and let him/her know you intend changing hospitals based on further research you are currently doing which is not yet finalised. All the best |
