Good morning, and may God bless your day. When we wake up, let us bow before God and thank Him. Start your day with prayer, and end it with prayer before going to sleep. St. Paisios the Athonite taught that children should learn to pray from a very young age, not by force, but by example. He said that mothers should gently teach their children to pray by praying themselves. In the villages of Cappadocia, parents took their children to caves, churches, and small chapels. There, they prayed with humility and tears, and by watching them, the children also learned how to pray. https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1DrtUjjPUP/ |
🌿 Once, a monk felt very sorry for the demons. Kneeling down and prostrating himself, he prayed to God with the following words: "You are God, and if You wish, You can find a way to save these unfortunate demons, who once had such great glory, but now possess all the malice and cunning of the world. If it weren't for Your intercession, they would have destroyed all humans." The monk prayed with pain. While saying these words, he saw a dog's face next to him, which was showing its tongue and mocking him. Apparently, God allowed this, wanting to inform the monk that He is ready to accept the demons, as long as they repent. But they themselves do not want their salvation. Look: Adam's fall was healed by God's coming to earth, by His incarnation. But the devil's fall cannot be healed by anything other than his own humility. The devil does not repent because he himself does not want to do so. 💒 Elder Paisius the Athonite https://www.facebook.com/share/188GSekrma/

“Church singing is theology in sound; it softens the heart and raises the soul to God.” St. John of Kronstadt https://www.facebook.com/reel/1499189901157981/ |
In the history of ancient Israel, there was a man who used his peculiarity - left-handedness - to save an entire nation. This is Judge Aod from the tribe of Benjamin (Book of Judges 3:12-30). When the Israelites, due to their sins, fell under the rule of the Moabite king Eglon, God chose Aod as a tool of salvation. His left-handedness turned out to be a tactical advantage: carrying a sword at his right thigh (like all right-handers), he was able to carry the weapon to a place where the guards would not have thought to look. Aod made himself a double-edged sword a cubit long and came to King Eglon under the pretext of delivering a "secret message". When they were alone, Aod said: "I have a word from God for you" - and struck the king with a sword. This story is not just a detective plot, but an example of how God uses human weaknesses (or what are considered such) to manifest His power. Question for reflection: Do we often complain about our peculiarities and shortcomings, instead of entrusting them to God, who can turn them into a tool for good deeds? https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61564680872915
