Not even a Tinubu or a Fashola could come to the rescue of the most populous local government in Nigeria all these years in terms of traffic congestion until an Ambode came in to commence the construction of a BRT line along the Lagos Abeokuta Express Way which will eventually ease the traffic logjam usually experienced at Alimosho axis of Lagos. To think of the lost man hours and the stress that people go through commuting daily and then some selfish people are saying this man should go? Alimosho people should rise up and ensure that they stand by Ambode by all means to prevent such a lofty BRT project and the Oshodi master plan from being abandoned. What about the street lights on most of our major roads and the taming of the almighty LASMA, the scraping of the disgraceful KAI etc. Ambode did all of these and I am sure he will do more. I don't know him from Adam, but to me, he is trying and he will get my vote come 2019. LAWMA was ineffective, they are only good at bringing bills and locking up owing houses. It was good radiance to bad rubbish. Visionscope might have started on a bad note, but for some months now, I have noticed improvements in their FREE refuse pickup at strategic Junctions in Alimosho. These we can all see. Ambode might have erred in some areas but bringing in someone who looks like a Babalawo just because he can sanwo (pay) some big shorts is a no no for me. DM suggestion is very good, APC should adopt it or sorry might be their case in Lagos o. |
What is it with some Nigerians! Why do you people like to use sledge hammer to kill a Mosquito and then use mouth to kill a big time criminal? What is the minimum qualification to become a President in Nigeria? She has a degree from abroad, came back at 35 years which means she did not need NYSC experience back then. What if her NYSC exemption certificate was authentic and her enemies went into the archives to destroy such evidence! A propaganda machine can tarnish anybody if they don't want such a person to remain in office. NYSC certificate does not confer financial competence, it is just a jamboree. The knowledge to perform as a minister lies in her degrees. Madam Kemi should be evaluated based on her abilities. If she was able to checkmate over 30,000 ghost workers collecting salaries from our national patrimony, don't you guys think that her enemies would not rest until they kick her out? Did she steal money? Did she abuse her powers? if No, then why the fuss about this NYSC Palava! We should rather be talking about those who stole or those who abused their powers. We should be talking about how to restructure the country, how to improve our institutions and how to industrialized this backward country. The abroad trained woman had to take the honourable part and leave office like they do abroad. We should commend her for setting a good precedence. On a more serious note, these Northerners are fast rubbishing our southern brains in their cabinet. Then, it was Ibe Kachukwu and now, Kemi Adeosun ? Southerners think! |

It is high time Cardinals Okogie and Onaiyekan rallied all the catholic Bishops and priests in Nigeria to rescue Nigeria from the hands of the Hausa - Fulanis. By choosing Bishop Mathew Kukah (from the North) as VP and Prof. Pat Utomi (from the South) as President and developing a people oriented manifesto, an overwhelming number of electorates can be mobilized to vote en-mass for these duo. The large population of Catholics and their friends in Nigeria can actually add up to 20 million which will be good enough to enable them get the keys to Aso rock in 2019. With the zeal involved in evangelism and the wealth of the largest church in the world, Nigeria's Catholics can preach this new gospel of political renewal thru the nook and crannies of the country to gain support from fellow Christians, unbiased Muslims and all the marginalized/oppressed in the land! The problem with Nigeria requires Presidential powers in the right hands to be able to tackle it. We have what it takes to be great and civil but so long as the wrong people are still at the helms of affairs, we ain't going anywhere! A prayer for Nigeria in distress that does not propel to action is a dead prayer. Herdsmen will go into hiding or risk the wrath of the security apparatus of the state because their man will no longer be in power and these senseless killings will stop. |

Please can anyone connect me to a neurosurgeon asap? my mother in law who is between life and death was scheduled to be operated upon this week. Thanks to this wicked strike by ...ESU, Luth has asked us to move her away, someone that is unconscious! These Federal Health workers are very very wicked. They are putting money first rather than saving lives. Can't they atleast provide skeletal services to critically I'll patient? They are asking us to go to a private hospital, those ones that can charge an arm and a leg to treat an headache! Her life is in danger , any nairaland doctor who can link me to an affordable neurosurgeon will be highly appreciated. My contact is - 07081516945 |
