DHQ NEVER MENTIONED ANY COUP ATTEMPT 

1.  The attention of the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has been drawn to a false and misleading report by an online publication insinuating that the cancellation of activities marking Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary was linked to an alleged attempted military coup. The report also made spurious references to the recent DHQ press release announcing the arrest of sixteen officers currently under investigation for professional misconduct.

2.  The Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) wishes to categorically state that the claims by the said publication are entirely false, malicious, and intended to cause unnecessary tension and distrust among the populace. The decision regarding the cancellellation of 65th independence anniversary parade  was  to allow Mr President attend a strategic bilateral meeting outside the country and for members of the AFN to sustain the momentum on the fight against terrorism, insurgency and banditry.

3.  Furthermore, the DHQ wishes to reassure Nigerians that the ongoing investigation involving the sixteen officers is a routine internal process aimed at ensuring discipline and professionalism is maintained within the ranks. An investigative panel has been duly constituted, and its findings would be made public.

4.  The DHQ calls on all peace loving citizens to continue to provide necessary support to the security agents. The FG, the legislature and the judiciary are working closely for the safety, development and well being of the nation. Democracy is forever. 

5.  The DHQ urges members of the public to disregard the falsehood being circulated by the purveyors of misinformation and enemies of our nation. The Armed Forces of Nigeria remains firmly loyal to the Constitution and the Federal government under the leadership of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

So far, these clowns have not provided a single proof of money laundering against either Wike or his Wife, none!. Sowore has no training in investigative journalism, he's only collecting free money from Ford Foundation for scamming them.
By now, I expect Sowore to have flooded the internet with undisputable account details through which Wike or his Wife used to wire these monies abroad to purchase those properties, would have provided us the names of the banks either in Nigeria or in the US where the money was routed. I could remember, this same Sowore posted a picture of Kenyamo's penthouse in the UK and started making all kind of noise but atlas, what happened?, he was shut up.
He will come online with his fake Sahara desert to say, Wike was on a wheelchair, his hands were shaking, couldn't walk, blablabla, then the next minute, we saw Wike granting TV interviews and receiving guests in Abuja.
In another fake news, he said Wike was on an emergency admission for heart failure in the UK and then boom, that same week, Wike was in Abuja flagging off projects. Tinubu had gone to France for medical treatment, then we saw Mr President being hosted to dinner by Macron. So many fake news he cooks in his bedroom and then pass it off to Obidients who obviously celebrate any of such fake news until the day he attacks Obi and then, Obidents turn around fighting back, allegiing he has been paid by Tinubu to attack Obi.

It was a day of joy and excitement as Ambassador (Mrs) Gift Emmanuel Oloche, the Founder of Promiseland Foundation put smile on the faces of youths, widows, the physically challenged and others with special needs when she rolled out a massive empowerment to support their livelihoods, ABUJAPRESS reports.

The event on Saturday, September 13 in Abuja was part of activities marking her birthday.

She distributed empowerment items and relief materials such as 50 sewing machines, 30 grinding machines, 50 hair dryers, 15 manual grinding engines, clippers, cash donations, wrappers and footwears.

Others are, 5k bags rice, spaghetti, milet, garri and many other relief materials.

The Foundation also sponsored women and young ladies through training on catering services, paid school fees of some vulnerable students and awarded scholarships to some students in the Federal Capital Territory.

Speaking at the event, the celebrant Amb. Gift Emmanuel while appreciating God for the gift of life said she will use the opportunity God has given her to bring relief to vulnerable persons.

"We are here to support women economically, educationally, and socially so they can rise above limitations.

"To our men, women’s empowerment is not a women’s issue; it is a societal issue. When women thrive, families, communities, and economies thrive “, she said.

She thanked her husband, the CEO of Promiseland Estate, Dr. Lawrence Emmanuel, whom she described as "a great pillar" for his support which has led to the successes the Foundation has recorded over the years.

One of the beneficiaries of sewing machine, Vera Asinye from Suleja local government, Niger State, lauded the celebrant for her benevolence and promised to make good use of the item to enhance her trade.

Another beneficiary from Karu, Nassarawa State Jumai Jacob thanked the celebrant for the kind gesture and assured that she will use the grinding machine she received to better her life and that of her family.

Nigeria is a funny place with leadership bar at lowest point. Otherwise how can anyone justify the fact that Goodluck Jonathan is being BEGGED to run for President again.

Interestingly, GEJ in the last 10 years, he is out of office, has never shown any indication that he has taken his time to develop better SOLUTIONS to various problems of Nigeria. No evidence that he now has the requisite vision and roadmap for a prosperous Nigeria.

Why do Nigeria fall into the hands of unprepared persons as President. In 1979, Maitama Sule was prepared but Shehu Shagari was chosen. Obasanjo wanted to go home to his wife after his prison time but was recruited to be President. Umaru Yar'adua wanted to retire to take care of his failing health but was recruited by Obasanjo as successor. Jonathan was a naive Deputy Governor who became naive harmless VP but has to become president following Yar'adua's death. Buhari came empty-headed but was hoping that his integrity will do the magic. Well, it didn't. Then Tinubu came visionless hoping that taxing people will do the magic. Well, the situation has become worse.

And now Goodluck Jonathan is now being begged to ... when better alternatives exist.

So sad.
