yes you will loose root access and cwm u have to reroot And flash recovery img

- Go to Engineer mode in mobile Uncle tool.

2- Select Engineer mode[MTK]

3- Go to CDS information

4- Select Radio Information

5- Select the phone 2 (if you want to change sim2's imei number) Here you can see a command line with “AT+........”.
Now just add this command to it AT+EGMR=1,10,”15 digit YOUR NEW IMEI NO” And press “send at command” button. [ if you want to change the the phone 1 IMEI AT+EGMR=1,7,”NEW IMEI NO”]
if u r on KitKat leave a space between AT+. ie. AT +

then reboot

just tried DAT its telling me .DAT it can't not be change .something like DAT.

cause after installing xposed installer and click on install/update den rebooting my phone. as d phone on e started misbehaving d light will on and off and I can't operate it I had to restore my phone

Guys since I upgraded my phone to kitkat my mcard any time I switch off and on d phone it will say preparing USB card after few seconds it will say SD card removed I don't know what to do.

now here is a good method of root and porttin cwmr on gionee m2

- This installs a Chinese root manager
rather than superuser or superSU. But I
will teach you how to replace it below.
Instruction:
1. Download the rooting application. (This
app can root many other devices )
2. Download & Install the app.
(DL Link Below)
3. Start and root now!
(first Option)
[wait till all four options are ticked good
'√' then exit]
4. Now we need to install SuperSU from
play store or externally ( link below) to
replace the Chinese root manager called
( RootMaster)
5. Go to play store and install SuperSU. or
Download below(I used the the one
below)
6. Start SuperSU and you will be asked for
permission
by RootMaster, choose (allow). (Should
be the right side option.)
7. SuperSU will prompt to install SU
binary, go ahead with OK and it will
display successful.
8. Now, freeze "RootMaster" in titanium
backup,
download an app that needs root access and grant it root access to see if it has successfully changed to super user

den enter d rashr and grant it root access
den somthing will show just click continue anyway
den click recovery and click on sdcard something den look for d folder u kept the recovery.img den click on it and choose yes please den it will say AR u sure u want to flash dis recovery click on yes please den reboot
dats all

den back up ur fone by entering backup from recovery mood mind u dis is touchscreen not scrolling with button
