Sentiments aside, this op is spot on. There is a time to be realistic and reasonable. If we chose Sentiments over Reasonableness, we will be here in 2027 arguing who won, while Tinubu is being sworn in ... AND NOTHING WILL HAPPEN. For Peter Obi, it would perhaps be the end of his presidential ambition as power will ⁸move up North for another 8 years after Tinubu's second term. With that, Obidients will have to wait until 2039, by which time Obi will be 76 or so. In 12 years, there would have been political realignment that would throw up new political structures. Who knew in 2014 that Obidients would be in existence, talk more of being this big.

Soon Adeleke will defect, leaving only Makinde and perhaps Diri that are not APC. So tell me how Peter Obi alone can checkmate these rigging machines? Truth is that in free and credible elections, Peter Obi will win by a whooping 75%, but there is what is called voters suppression and Federal might. Peter Obi CANNOT fight these evil alone.

Truth is bitter, but it has to be told. As of today, only ATIKU ABUBAKAR can force Tinubu to concede defeat. You are free to say whatever you want. I have nothing against Peter Obi, but he cannot be declared winner against Tinubu in 2027, but INEC will never try any shit against a Northerner, like Atiku. They cannot execute their rigging plan against a Northerner like they would an Igboman. This is a fact, and every astute politician knows that Tinubu is not Jonathan, who capitulated easily. Tinubu would fear the North more than the East. Politics is not about what we wish, but what is plausible.

Peter Obi's best option is to support Atiku, ensure Obidients are represented in the government. Then wait for Atiku to complete his tenor. I am not delusional who thinks Atiku would abdicate after 4 years. If he does, good, if not Obi should wait out the 8 years, which to me is shorter than 12 years.

Take a cue from Tinubu. He joined Buhari to form APC. Tinubu could have asked to be president and contested against Buhari, afterall Tinubu's ACN was controlling Lagos, Osun, Ondo and Edo states at the time. While Buhari had no governor under his CPC. However, for some Reasonableness, he waited and supported Buhari. Then when Buharwas done, he declared "EMILOKAN ". Peter Obi should another same approach. Support Atiku and then wait for his TURN. Igbos need to understand that politics in Nigeria is not who has block votes, but who has strategic alliances.

Just come out clean and say you are for Atiku.
