PoliticsIPOB Wants The Release Of Africa Representative George Onyeibe by kizinho(op): 10:26pm On May 23, 2017
The IPOB National Coordinator for the entire Biafraland, Tonye Tyger Amachree demand the immediate and unconditional release of Mr. George Onyeibe who was unlawfully abducted by men of DSS at the early hours of the morning of 22 April 2017 from his home near Igweocha (Port Harcourt) Rivers State. Mazi George Onyeibe is from Agbor in Delta State.

The IPOB African Rep was abducted from his residence in Atali ObioAkpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, beaten to a pulp and had his electronic devices from his home. Biafrans, believe he has been taken to an unknown dungeon owned by Nigeria Department Of State Security Service DSS. They carried out their Gestapo raid with two tinted glass Black Jeep in the early hours of Saturday being the 22nd of April 2017.
Mr. Tonye Tamuno Tiger Amachree from Ijaw view this latest provocation as unlawful and detrimental to the well-being of everyone including DSS. Illegal arrests and detention has come to define this criminally insane APC government of Buhari. It is now crystal clear to the world that Buhari's Islamic Republic of Nigeria does not mean well for law abiding citizens but would rather prefer armed conflict. Why Lawal Daura will be allowed to impose the very worst form of totalitarianism on ordinary people without any checks and balances. The Indigenous People Of Biafra have been found nothing to be an illegal organisation so why the midnight raids and abductions.

The days of keeping mute over the clampdown on Biafrans, no longer exist. This form of heavy handedness will only make us stronger and deepen the unity between South East and Niger Delta which will result in the coming of Biafra. We are not just sending out a warning to the Nigerian Government, but also letting them know we must implement our decision to mobilise all Niger Delta youths to support the emergence of a new Biafra.
Mr. Tonye Tamuno said everything possible to make sure, IPOB under the supreme leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is protected from the murderous DSS. Mr Onyeibe's abduction will prove to the World that the era of my leadership of IPOB throughout Biafraland will be one of note nonsense and a touch against one of us, is a touch against all.
I am not hiding my identity and will always pronounce it at any given time. I remain Tonye Tyger Tamuno Amachree from Ijaw Biafraland, the release of George Onyeibe must be unconditional and immediate.

Politics82 Chibok Girls Reunited With Their Families After More Than 3 Years by kizinho(op): 1:35am On May 22, 2017
After more than three years in captivity, 82 of the Chibok schoolgirls have been reunited with their families amid tears, laughter, music and dancing. On an emotional day in the Nigerian capital city, Abuja, the young women and their parents wept as they embraced. Some groups sank to their knees, giving praise and praying.

"Today I thank God, my daughter is alive," Yahi Bulata told NPR's Ofeibea Quist-Arcton as he hugged his now 21-year-old daughter, Comfort Bulus Bulata. He said he hoped she would now be able to continue her education. Mothers sang a song of thanks.
Jumping for joy, dancing and singing with delight, Godiya Joshua described it as "Christmas Day and New Year" rolled in one, before being reunited with her eldest child, Esther.
The 276 Chibok schoolgirls were abducted in the dead of night from their dorms by Boko Haram militants in April 2014, prompting international outrage and the Bring Back Our Girls campaign — backed by former first lady Michelle Obama. The girls who were reunited with their families Saturday were part of a recent exchange brokered by the Nigerian government with the help of the government of Switzerland, the Red Cross and other NGOs.
Three young women who've escaped are also included in the group. One girl escaped last May and two more escaped or were found last year. An initial group of 21 was released in October and was reunited with their schoolmates Saturday. The young women sang and danced separately and together.
Despite the celebratory atmosphere, 113 of the Chibok girls are still being held by the terrorist group. According to Nigerian psychologist Fatima Akilu, head of the Neem Foundation helping survivors of Boko Haram's extremist violence, the girls symbolize a much greater problem in troubled northeastern Nigeria. She specializes in deradicalization and reintegration and says her NGO is helping hundreds of people — girls, boys, men and women — who've survived captivity, like the Chibok girls, but are not in the public eye.
"A lot of people are not aware of the scale of the problem," Akilu told Quist-Arcton. "Resources should be scaled up to include the voiceless victims that don't really have this big megaphone that has highlighted their plight." According to Human Rights Watch, hundreds of other children are still missing in Northeast Nigeria , though the Chibok girls have gotten the most attention. There are also lingering questions about the status of the girls who have been freed. Though the 82 girls released two weeks ago are seeing their families today, they will not go home with them to remote, rural Chibok. They are to remain in the care of the government, for medical and psychological evaluation, as well as military debriefings, followed by a rehabilitation and reintegration program. As NPR has reported previously, 21 other girls who were released last year are still in government care as well .
"The Nigerian government maintains that these are security precautions to protect the girls from the stigma, ostracism and discrimination commonly faced by those returning from Boko Haram captivity." More story at https://naijacrawl.com/m.news?id=922
PoliticsWhy Trump’s Speech On Terrorism Was Such A Missed Opportunity by kizinho(op): 1:24am On May 22, 2017
On Sunday in Saudi Arabia, President Trump delivered his first speech abroad, calling for stronger partnerships with Muslim-majority countries to destroy terrorists through military action and financial measures and to combat the “false allure of the craven ideology” that has inspired radicalization.

While he avoided his campaign rhetoric about Islam and Muslims, Trump made it clear that his administration will continue to prioritize countering violent ideology, or what the president has consistently labeled “radical Islam.”
Trump’s myopic focus on radical ideology misses the real drivers behind why young people are joining groups like the Islamic State. What the president has called “radical Islam” was more important during the earlier days of al-Qaeda, particularly among extremist leaders who would squabble (and even fight) among themselves over the meaning of particular religious texts. This is why President George W. Bush’s administration frequently referred to the importance of the “ideological struggle” and the “war of ideas” in the early years after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the United States.
But during the past decade, the focus on “radical Islam” has become largely irrelevant for most people who support groups like the Islamic State. Researchers like me who have spent time in regions talking with people concluded some time ago that, while we cannot ignore the ideology, we should not myopically focus our resources on combating “radical Islam.”
Two decades ago, I spent nine months with one of the ideological founders of the jihadist movement in Jordan, part of the same network as Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the founder of al-Qaeda in Iraq. I was an academic and wanted to understand what motivated his network of followers to violence. I learned firsthand about a radical ideology that promotes an apocalyptic war with the West and total domination. And I saw recruiters manipulate young people, promising them purpose in this life and a special place in paradise in the next.
What I heard from extremists I interviewed around the world, however, suggests that taking aim at “radical Islam” misses the mark. While the young jihadists I met spouted ideological diatribes and quoted the Koran at length, their words rang hollow — almost as if they were something the recruits thought they should say rather than something they understood and deeply believed.
Most jihadists, I found, know little to nothing about Islam. While they use religion to justify horrific acts, it is a convenient foil. About 4,600 personnel files of Islamic State fighters show that 70 percent of recruits have only a basic understanding of sharia, or Islamic law.
Islamist extremists are much more likely to have degrees in engineering, science and medicine than in disciplines related to Islam, and at least a few had to buy “Islam for Dummies” to learn about their own religion. They are in no position to determine whether violence is sanctioned by Islam, and most of the ones I interviewed were not exactly wide-eyed true believers ruthlessly guided by the will of God.
If you can’t draw a straight line from radical Islam to terrorism, what might be driving extremism in the Middle East? The answer is complicated, but since the 1970s, study after study suggests that socioeconomic factors — not religion or ideology — lay the groundwork for violence.
The vast majority of young people in places like the Middle East and North Africa face a bleak socioeconomic future. Youth unemployment in the region hovers around 30 percent, which is expected to skyrocket as economies struggle to create enough jobs to keep pace with a massive demographic youth bulge. In 2000, the World Bank estimated that the region would need to create about 100 million new jobs to keep pace, and it’s nowhere near to closing the gap. WebmastersThe Best, Easiest And The Most Creative Way To Register A Good Domain Name. by kizinho(op): 9:11am On May 19, 2017
So i found this informative post on namecheap's blog and i 'd like to share with naijacrawl fans, read below.

Struggling to find an available domain name for your business? We know that sometimes it’s a challenge. After all, there are nearly 130 million registered .com domain names. Even other extensions are getting crowded. For example, people currently use over 15 million .net domains. This means you might need to become more creative to find an available domain name.

Start or End with Additional Words
One of the simplest ways to find an available domain is to add a word before or after the name you want. For example, instead of JeffsPlumbing.com (which is already registered) you can get JeffsPlumbingOnline.com (which is available). Five years ago, LeanDomainSearch analyzed the top prefixes and suffixes to figure out what people are using. Here’s what they found. Top prefixes:
My+
The+
Web+
Go+
Super+
Top Suffixes:
+Online
+Web
+Media
+World
+Net
You’ll notice that online is one of the most popular keywords, and this has been the case for many years. It’s one of the most common terms people add to a domain. In fact, if you want to go crazy, there’s even a new .online domain name extension.
More Ideas to Find Domain Names
Below are some other ideas for words you can add to the beginning or ending of your desired name to find an available domain.

Science/TechnologyShared Experience' Takes Center Stage On Day 2 Of Google I/O 2017 by kizinho(op): 8:55am On May 19, 2017
After a busy day 1 of the I/O 2017 conference, Google went into depth about its plans for Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality. Unlike Facebook, whose idea was to use VR to make social networking more interactive, Google showed its plans to get into regular life activities, like teaching for example, and enhance the experience using upgraded hardware and powerful software. Read on for the highlights of the Day 2 at the developer conference.

IMPROVED AR EXPERIENCES ON TANGO

After showing off the VPS technology to the public, Google focussed on the entertainment chapter of the AR technology. Google announced the arrival of the Asus Zenfone AR later in the year, which packs in all the AR tech into a smaller device compared to last year’s Lenovo Phab 2 Pro. There’s a new experience available on the AR platform which consists of a large virtual forest with your own growing tree.

ASUS ZENFONE AR
Apart from the gimmicks, Google also talked about the concept of shared AR, i.e multiple people sitting in a common augmented reality space. A concept like this could be useful for teachers where they can place virtual objects on the desk of each student through multiple AR devices available individually to each student. For this, Google has started a program, called Expeditions Pioneers Program, where developers can opt in for creating AR lessons to be enjoyed by students.

MAKE WAY FOR DAYDREAM 2.0 “EUPHRATES”

Google stressed on its intentions to put Daydream on par with its existing platforms – Android and Chrome. Therefore, Daydream 2.0, codenamed Euphrates, will be a platform specifically meant for improving the VR experience this year. Daydream will be available on selected flagship smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S8 and LG’s upcoming flagship device.
We already knew that Google is developing standalone headsets with HTC and Lenovo, with Qualcomm already building some reference devices. Google added to this by mentioning the involvement of Android O in running the software for those standalone headsets. It will feature software support for the devices, a way to get VR content front and centre and a way to share content with others.

GOOGLE DAYDREAM 2.0PHOTO: SLASHGEAR
Google’s idea of shared experiences applies to the Daydream platform as well because it will support Google Cast. This simply means that you will be able to share your VR experience from your headset with others on a compatible Smart TV. You will also be able to take a screenshot from the headset and share it on your social timeline.
A new channel by the name of “Discovery” will be available to search for new VR content. You can also check notifications, settings and switch apps from the VR headset’s dashboard.

YOUTUBE VR
YouTube will be getting a VR version of its mobile app. Dubbed as the Daydream YouTube VR app, users will be able to enjoy VR videos easily with a community, i.e. you will be able to enjoy a VR spaceship with your friends in their virtual avatars at the same time. Now, this seems somewhat inspired from Facebook Spaces that was showcased last month.
As for VR developers, Google has introduced “Instant Previews” to help them keep track of the development of VR experiences instantly. They can make changes on their computers and see them near-instantaneously on mobile devices. It's available on Google's editor and mobile devices.
