Tstv back to 51.5 east... But not fta......

HOW TO MERGE satellite..
The simplest and easiest method is this...
To add an lnb to any dish...The higher in degree goes up,the lower in degree goes down




1.if I track nigcomsat(42°) and want to attach tstv(45°) I will attach tstv on the top of the dish because 45° is higher in degree(number)




2. I track mytv(16°)and I want to add multi TV(28.2°)
I will add it Above.Always add larger frequencies above




3. I track 7°W And I want to attach 3°W
I will attach it below...That's the simple trick..




4. I track nigcomsat I want to add multi tv
I will add it below..


NB: always add lower degrees downward and add higher degree upward...Learn it




INSTALLING MULTIPLE LNBS ON A SINGLE DISH
Installing multiple lnbs on a single dish may not be easy but is one of the ways to track a lot of satellites if you can not afford two or three dishes to track them separately.




The key to this, is patience. It may be difficult at the begining but fun in the end.
Yes it is true that you can receive more than one satellited on a single dish.




The question is how would you know which satellites can combine on one satellite dish.




THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND BEFORE YOU ATTEMPT TO COMBINE


1. The satellites beam must cover your location.


2. Is the satellites located in the same cardinal hemisphere (East or West)




3. Is the orbital angle between the satellites is less than 20 degree?




The orbital angles are usually written together with the name of the satellite e.g. Astra 2F 28.2deg east.
name> Astra 2f orbital angle> 28.2e with this in mind it is easy to calculate the difference between two satellites.




Example: The difference between ASTRA 2F 28.2e and AMOS 517e is 28.2-17=11.2
this is less than 20deg so it means one can track the two together on a single dish.




4. The next question is how will i know the distance between the two lnbs when fixed together.


The difference between the orbital angles is not the same as the distance between the lnbs.




some of the satellites you can track together with a single dish.
Example * Eutelsat 7 and Ses 5
*Amos5 and eutelsat 16
*Astra 2f and Badr5
*intelsat 20 and Eutelsat 70B.
others you will need another lnb.




The size of the dish will also determine the distance between the lnbs.




Now let us do a little maths, to make things easy, We have calculate pre define constant for three dish sizes. That was gotten from their focal length ( Check image for more info)




*For 60cm dish (focal length 36cm) = 0.68077cm.


*For 90cm dish (focal length 54cm) = 0.9426cm


*For 1m dish (focal length 74cm) = 1.30917cm


*For 1.2m dish(focal length 76cm) = 1.32699cm




(all the dishes above are with reference to strong dishes. Your dish focal length may be different but the difference may not be that great. We also used Legon's equation for the focal length of offset dish antenna. You can google it up for more clearification),




With the values we have given above, if you want to find the distance between two lnbs, just multiple the value of the correspnding dish by the difference between the orbtical angle of the satellites.




Example.
To find the distance between two lnbs for Amos5 and Astra 2f orbtical difference=28.2-17=11.2


so for 60cm dish=11.2*0.68077=7.62462cm




for 90cm dish= 11.2*0.9426=10.55712cm etc




5. The next question is how do i attach one lnb on another because the dish comes with only one holder.




You may make a thick flexible wire to hold it or get Lnb scalar,there are also holder that can hold additional lnbs.




6. which of the satellites should i track first?
The lnb in the original holder is the primary. to track two satellites on one dish, it is adviceable to track the sat with smaller angle first( thus the primary) then attach the second lnb for the sat with bigger angle on top of the primary. this makes it easier to track.




EXAMPLE.
To track Amos 5 and Astra 2f, i will track Amos5 as primary and then attach Astra 2f on top.




you may track Astra 2f as primary but it will
mean you have to put Amos5 lnb below the
primary lnb and this may be a bit difficult to track.




You can add as mush lnbs to your single dish provided the meet the conditions mention above.




Which satellites can i put together?
It is best if you are using a bigger dish.


let us see which satellites we can put together from the satellites given in our previous post.




1 SES5, EUTELSAT 7, AMOS5, EUTELSAT 16,ASTRA 2F, BADR5 , INTELSAT 28 AND
EUTELSAT 36.




2 YAMAL 202, INTELSAT 17, INTELSAT20,
EUTELSAT 70B.




It is adviceable to track the number of satellites you can handle. Tracking too many satellites on one dish also have its own problems.




REMEMBER: The lower the angle the higher the dish will face the sky and the bigger the angle the lower the dish.




Example: ses5 with 4.5e angle will face extreme up an


d Eutelsat 70b will face etreme down( like about to face the ground).

55e can be on top of 51e, but still you need the help of an installer to get it right.....

*Important note for installers...*

An important point that many users often do without knowing and cause technical defects in their receiver and TV.

Never connect or disconnect the HDMI cable to the receiver or TV while the receiver and TV are on. This may damage the CPU and HDMI port in your receiver or TV

In most devices, especially receivers, a separate IC is not used for the HDMI port, and this port is directly connected to the main processor, for this reason, it cannot be repaired in case of a possible failure.

Therefore, it is recommended to turn off the device before disconnecting or connecting the HDMI cable to the receiver and TV..
