There's a serious downturn on bolt requests in ibadan is it's really becoming worrying. This has been going for for a while, many drivers clustered up in a places for hours without getting 1 ride.

We have been operating for over a month now and all drivers have been paying with no cimplain, note the vehicles are all operating in CNG
Where can this be gotten or is there a station where the conversion is done?

2hours 15 minutes thereabout
Looks like your car is consuming fuel, you can have her checked out because with 15k fuel you should make at least double or more . That's usually how it works

I bought fuel of 15k and I drove from Ayobo to Ogombo in Ajah then turned back and got to Lekki phase 1 before my fuel light came up.

I want to know if my car consumes fuel or not. I'm using Toyota Camry 2006. There was no much traffic on the road aside the traffic light stops and small traffic jams like 3 minutes 5 minutes.

Plus I didn't use AC all through the trip
How many hours were you on the road and how much did you make with the 15k?

Who here has experienced e-hailing in any other city outside Lagos?

Lagos is a very hostile place to drivers.

My driving experience in Ibadan has been pretty pleasant, we have a few drivers on weekly remittance of 60k weekly with CNG though and to my surprise they are always meeting up ontime with no excuses.

To highlight the cool side of driving in Ibadan;
No traffic only on rare occasions and never compared to Lagos traffic.

No touts to harass you incase of a breakdown.

No need for Lasdri, and other documents required of rideshare drivers in Lagos.

The train service has improved the business in Ibadan.

In a nutshell if you are feeling tired of Lagos and you have the flexibility to explore a new city, I think you should try experiencing Ibadan

E-hailing is Ibadan has its good and bad days and unlike Lagos ibadan has several options of commuting hence there's a limitation to the number of successful trips one does in a day but good side is the ease of traffic and not to many road laws.

Last three info is it necessary for bolt driver registration?
The vehicle inspection report is even the most important
If you check all other options and you don't do this you won't be able to go online.
Just go to bolt's website to find the nearest inspection center close to you, when I had mine done last time it was #1200.
Good luck

I'm quoting myself. (the quote is from April when I spoke on a bad day driving using InDrive)

When I made the above post, I was just starting this hustle for real in April. After the very poor results I got, I stopped, cos really, my car was chopping fuel, and I was having problem solving the issue (airflow meter). So I sold my manual transmission Kia cerato (2007 model) for 1.8 million, and made half payment for a 2008 Honda Accord. I bought it from a friend for 4 million. I paid 2 million, and we worked out a payment plan for the remaining. It was a great move.

Even though i'm not making money as much as the pros on here, but i'm doing much better. I went from someone that lost N455 after working with 25k fuel for a full day, to someone that used 13k fuel today to make a net of 27k. That's 14k profit. That's not much, but miles better than what I was making when I was using my Kia.

I thank you all for all the advice. It really helped. I'm sure I still picked some bad rides today (judging from the km I covered versus the amount I made), but from tomorrow, I will start using uber or Bolt, instead of InDrive.
Well done sir, that you didn't just give up
With 14k fuel you can still do better but as it is it's a long way from what was made before.
My advice, just evaluate your rides, drive to where you know only and of Course there's the God factor. Well done sir

Ibadan don cast oo... I pity people on HP... no good order and no order coming up self... u can stay hours without seeing order...
You are right, e-hailing in ibadan is becoming obsolete.
You can go hours parked at an Hotspot without an order coming in.
I don't know how drivers on HP would break even

How long does it take bolt to verify updated vehicle particulars these days? And does one have to get another Vehicle Inspection Report done again?

That's the scope, don't accept every order because there are some locations you will not see ride coming back... price of bolt from bodija to train station is between 6k to 7100 and you will drive 35 min and you can't smell a ride till you get back to Ojoo or UI and imagine taking such ride and you collect app price which you will definitely use 5litre go com, but when u see the price u may feel is a good price not knowing that u are just wasting ur fuel but if u negotiate further to 10k then with bolt commission u can still keep 4k to 5k for 1hr drive, because bodija to train station back to bodija is one hour drive... so in ibadan you have to use your head if not, you will borrow money to fix your car once he breaks down.
Well said, car must not break down oo. Headache go start

Apart from weekdays, rides are scarce and far between in Ibadan. Ibadan is not a rich city like the centre of excellence that attracts comforts and meanwhile hardly can you get a consistent customer. Someone may ask for your number so you can pick him or her up next time, I make bold to say you may not hear from the person who was boasting of his or her constant use of bolt for 2 months
.
You are correct , Ibadan is truly big but then it still depends on your scope area of work and where you reside too.
All in all, na calculation be everything. Don't accept rides that takes you somewhere you'll hardly get rides back.

Just know you can earn beyond with 16k fuel. You are just settling for the less.
Yea, but then the health of myself and vehicle is paramount. Thanks

Not in ibadan will you make 40k with 16k fuel
I'm not capping
A 20km trip in ibadan is less than 5k gross, not even net. On indrive 4k. The only interesting is that all trips comes with free roads
Except you are using micra as bolt, you can't make 40k with 16k fuel.
You can talk all you want, I am the one with the car and with the earnings. Nothing to prove

I think that's like the upscale part of town. I played into ibadan for a few days last week, Ikolaba.
The other time I was there I did a few trips on bolt out of curiosity mostly. It wasn't bad, UI to Shoprite, then got a trip back to UCH then from that Ikolaba area to some other part of town, from there I just continued to back to Lagos. Free roads, except close to that Stadium then Shoprite area slight hold up. It was 😊
Yea you get the drift, plus once it's 4-5pm I am done for the day.
Some bolt drivers like evening/night drives but at the end it's whatever works for you

You'll be balling in ibadan be that, living around agodi or bodija grin cheesy Every market will have its peculiarities and there'll be a hack to it. Once you find that hack, you'll find a place to operate in that system.
With what you're earning I'll gladly trade places with you
Yea I mostly take rides with good roads and minimal traffic (bodija, Ikolaba, Akobo, Oluyole axis). Any trip apart from the listed places that comes up na bolt matter be that😁

I base in ibadan and I am driving sometimes in the evening and weekends... the problem of ibadan Is that there are alternatives to bolt or uber which are Okadas and Keke plying all roads and these brings about competition between bolt and other transports... there is no how you won't be fraustrated doing bolt in ibadan but still yet there are ways to go about it... select the order you pick and be patient with picking orders... we can connect just reach me on 081..04392500
Exactly, I don't care about acceptance score so I am very selective in my rides.. 7-10 good rides can fetch me 40k with 16k fuel

I started bolt with 10k fuel, I struggled to make my money for fuel back. I use a V6 engine, Please can anyone advise me on how I can turn this around, at least make something aside from my fuel money. Thanks
Be selective in your rides... You don't have to accept all rides you see

Being at the mercy of another person is the worst thing that can happen to anybody.

Imagine I was chasing this bonus. Have done 7 trips already, remaining 7, before Bolt sent me a mail that my account is paused because of my driver's license.

Something I've sent to them earlier that my permanent one is not yet out and I was given extension in my temporary one.
How much fuel did you buy to achieve that dashboard? Sorry for asking, I am just inquisitive
