Well i guess Hilary swank's luck is just too much  I think that there is something as oscar-worthy performance.  If i totally feel and get a character taken out of the pages of a manuscript/book, portrayed by someone so convincingly, that i can almost connect to certain moments, then i think if an award say oscar - has to be given in support of such portrayal, then yeah it becomes a standard by which to compare other performances.
