i resigned from my previous job, without any back up, though i was lucky to be interviewed by one of the giant telecommunication in Nigeria, but after being successful we were told to start training, we were actually paid for the two weeks training, but was told to wait till January to start, but unfortunately, we were not called.

so as a sharp nairalander, i expand my search for another job, luckily i saw debbie's post for the job of an office assistant, but as a graduate, i applied as to be doing something pending the time the telecommunication coy would call me.

i was called for the interview for the office assistant job, and in two days, i was called to come and pick up my employment letter, but not office assistant but i was given the post of "Admin officer".


though i have been also been able to bring nairalanders into the organization too, i was also the one acting as the HR officer, so i was told to place an advert for some post and also shortlist applicants, and to God be the glory, nairalanders too have benefited from me as i also did via nairaland and debbie.

i know people who have gotten the job and their offer letters, would come and testify later, when they see this post.

a guy was introduced to me sometime ago that he needs help with a job.
As God will have it ,I was able to link him up with one. He was accepted and told to come for a meeting{not even interview} as he was from me and i know the employer personally.

This is the annoying part, The meeting was scheduled for 10am. My Employer called me by 11:15am and complained that he is yet to see the guy that was supposed to be offered the job. He then later called and said the guy just called around few mins to 12pm saying he is on his way..."imagine". 12pm for a meeting slated for 10am. and evenso as d employer said, its not that he is even there yet ,he said he is on his way. My friend said he told him not to bother anymore.

The guy (unemployed guy) later called me saying they told him that he shouldnt bother agin after telling him to come yesterday.. He was trying to tell me to help attend to the matter..

I was annoyed and asked him was he late??...and you know what the "yeye" guy said

He said "u know one cant cheat nature". meaning he slept off.. Imagine ,,jobless for over five months if not more and you finally get a break and your lame excuse is "sleep' ..If that was what i did you darn well will not have me to even consider asking to help out. I sent him a strong worded text message. and told him not to bother reaching me again.

The person is very unserious wen him sit for house for 10years nobody go tell am. But u can still link me pls. I'm in Abuja my contact is 07039249945. I will be very grateful.

Good day guys, my brother just confided in me that his wife to be lied to him. She told him she studied law from a UK uni with 2.2 as her grade. She never wanted to go to law school and my cousin has since been encouraging her.

Now he just stumbled on her certificate which says she studied Sociology and graduated with a pass!!

Now hes depressed. Hes white is in 2months time and he has already done trad. Pls what should he do!!

ur brother has already done marriage. So there is nothing there to cancel. We just de fool ourselves. Once he has done traditional marriage the woman is ur wife. I don't know wat is bringing this mentality on white marriage into our naija head.
