If Barca were any type of smart they would try to find a mugu club willing to break transfer record for Messi. Even if it means collecting installments for the next 4 years, selling Messi at €250-350m is smarter business.

If tiki taka is implemented well and we get the players either from la Masia or bought.I see no reason why we can't compete for trophies since it's a gameplay that encourages teamwork and brings even the central backs deep into the play.Guy without Messi barca can still survive even after some crumbles at first.

I honestly wouldn't blame Messi for wanting to leave the club he has played out his heart for. The board has obviously been the worst I have ever seen in recent time. The useless board obviously wasted the genius prime years by their abysmal signings and lackadaisical attitude.

I personally wish and hope the President and his board vacates the seat of power while Messi stays to help groom the team while the club starts planning for a life after the football god as he is being gradually phased out. Messi and probably Pique (with limited role) are the only Players I would like to still have out of the group of the old guys around.

However, should he decide to leave which he is justifiably entitled to, I would love to see him reunite with Pep at City. the genius deserves to enjoy football again before he finally hangs his boot. But, the club will surely miss and suffer the loss for a while and the situation can only be salvaged with a good coach and the right board and not the shameless ones we have around.

I agreed with the guy you blasted. We have relied on Messi brilliance for far too long. While it brought us lots of waoooh moments, in the last four years, it has brought nothing but heartbreak and devastation. So we must try something different. Learn to play as team again.

I am completely unperturbed with Messi announcements that he wishes to leave. While I'll miss him as best player in the world, I think it is right step in right direction for Barcelona as a team. We'll suffer first but a good coach should be able to get the team back to its foot without him.

Some of us have given practical examples to show that Messi's team mates have not complemented his efforts on the pitch even to a minimal degree.

In fact they have not come close to doing that compared to other big European teams which have at least 3 stars putting in top level performances concurrently.

How the biggest problem you see here remains Messi motivating the team remains a mystery to me.

The numbers are all over the place to prove that this team's reliance on Messi to deliver them game after game after game, remains criminal,

yet all that you could think about is for Messi to motivate them.
