It's crazy that people don't understand science yet feel justified in crucifying those who do the best they can based on their vast knowledge and experience in a rapidly evolving public health emergency. This is all a disgraceful witch hunt to satisfy a personal vendetta while deflecting attention from much more critical and current crises.

Freedom of speech is not freedom for you to constitute public nonsense and disturbing others with noise. (I said noise because noise is any unwanted and disruptive sound that interferes with peace)

States like Lagos state have environmental laws that protects citizens against noise pollution. Churches and mosques have been locked because their speakers are too loud and they constitute nuisance in residential areas.

This particular law banning preaching in buses and public places is a step in the right direction. I don't need to have a headache because I boarded a bus that has a preacher who would preach for a whole one hour while the journey lasts.

CAN are just being political with their stand against the ban. They should be supporting the ban sef because even some unscrupulous preachers use the whole bus preaching stuff to beg for money sef, making it seem like salvation is for sale.

Preaching inside commercial bus is actually something I have been wishing was banned right from when I was young. It amounts to constituting public nuisance, especially with the way they do it inside commercial buses in Lagos.

It's also the same way I detest people who would leave their area, go to someone else's area or estate, place a huge speaker on the floor and start preaching as early as 5am, 6am.... Some people worked overnight and are trying to catch some sleep, but u will use Ur preaching to ensure they don't have restful morning sleep.

People can get preached to in their church, on theif favorite radio or TV station, and even dedicated satellite TV channels like DoveTV, etc.

It makes no sense disturbing everyone in a public space with preaching they might not be interested in. People should respect other people's right to decorum.

In 2005, while I was in Benin. An announcement via radio and tv ads that pastor Chris is coming to Benin in a month time.
My Landlord's wife who was paralyzed by half of her body was so optimistic that her healing is here after hearing all the wonders Pastor Chris has been doing on TV.

From the day the announcement was made, this woman can't stop singing and praising God for bringing Pastor Chris closer to her.
It was a 5 day program. On the first day according to her children who took her to the crusade ground.
They placed their mother who was in a wheelchair at the front where pastor Chris can see her very well.
When it's time for healing and deliverance, pastor Chris will come down to where all according to them sick people are including this my Landlord's wife.
On each occasion he will bypass her and go heal people that after the 5 day crusade, nobody that I know in Benin or heard said they knew this and that person that was healed.

Honestly! I too was waiting to see him heal my Landlord's wife to confirm his God giving power. But alas it was all fake.
According to her children, for that straight 5 days, so they put her in front and so pastor Chris always bypass her till the program ended.
The kind swear our landlady's family and neighbors swear for pastor Chris eh.
On my part, not that I even believe in this god of men in the first place. But I wanted to use our landlady's healing to confirm something, but alas my expectations were dashed.
