Santi222: Guys, I've decided to go into the world of Information Technology, programming and web designing to be specific. The thing is, I know absolutely next to nothing about these, but wont let that be a deterent to me. I am determined to do it. Please guys, I need your heartfelt advice here. Where and how do I start from? What should I do? Any useful tips that can set me going? I hear names like Phyton, Java,HSP, etc etc. Just gets me confused. Your advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

ICT,, WebDesign,, Programming.. For a Newbie,, I suggest u start One.. If its Web design,, I suggest html,, Css,, Php...
If its Programming,, I suggest Python or C++... Java is aight buh learning it alone without a tutor can Be Cumbersome...

Well, They aint Totally useless per say... Tuples can be used when Dealing with for Eg months, Dates in a year which is always Constant...
The Disadvantage as Mr Seun pointed out is that the Values aint Mutable..
Lists and Dictionaries are used more often due to Their mutable nature...

Dunno whats wrong with fellas... Guess they dont research that much... Subscribe one month with ur BB and Surf the net with unlimited Downloads.. You can download files as large as 2gb at once.. Last month, i downloaded files totalling 45gb for my system.. Dont get it twisted.. Iphones and others do rock sha buh they are only good for apps and they also possess sleek designs.. Buh, lemme ask y'all,, what do u normally tend to do with thy fone,, Is it to Browse for info or to play with nice apps on thy fone... Damn,, BB haters should get a life..

WHEN it comes to editing source codes, ok, i might say u can do it via mobile but, if its full coding or html, its just like Dual Core said, BUSY yet UNPRODUCTIVE.

True talk, I fnk reediting source codes might be its best use,

I however do on-the-fly editing of an application if it cannot wait for me to get to my workstation. But full coding? Na! I can imagine the frustration with typing things like < ? { } $ *.

I have uploaded with my blackberry before. I zipped the website into a zipped archive, transfered the file to my phone via cable. I then opend the website/cpanel.
Logged in, used the file manage to upload the file to my server and unzipped. simple.

I dunno if Joomla is the best or not, but i did about 3 different school portals with drupal. And it was cool.
The thing is, drupal allows you to alter the functionality of any extension directly or indirectly. Atimes, you want a functionality that a module does not support - it is very easy to tweak modules in drupal.
I am very good at using Joomla as well, and i know there are components that are useful in joomla, but i will rather use drupal.

The stuff i am showing you was made with drupal, and it runs on intranet, i made a custom-browser for it with visual basic - so i can hide the network address.

Most times when we try to code new scripts or test out new functions or even Edit Html Pages, we have 2 make use of our Laptops buh the situation gets real bad wen we have low Ba3's on our Laptops.
I for example Use Nokia E63 to Write my Html,javascript etc scripts anytime i feel like.
Now Here iz the Trick (Symbian fones)-
Download Opera8.65 from xchanger . mobi.
Download opera 8.65 from xchanger . mobi.
Download Xplorer(any version),frm xchanger . Mobi.
Now Install d Opera. Go to ur explorer , click Menu - File - new Txt file - Name the file for eg welcome.html.
Now Type ur html or javascript codes and save. Now Press Menu - File - Open by System, Yu will see ur Html page Displayed By the Opera,
Enjoy.
