A Federal High Court, Lagos, yesterday convicted the former Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, (NIMASA), Raymond Omatseye, over N1.5bn contract scam and sentenced him to five years imprisonment.

The trial Judge, Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia pronounced Omatseye guilty in 24 out of the 27-count charge leveled against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Bros I don't no of other banks, But my 1st Bank master card was used to withdraw about 2000yuan. Day before yesterday and yesterday so correct urself. But my Uba master card stop working in china.

The prepaid Visa card is only funded with USD which makes no sense cos u need to purchase the USD from the parallel market

UBA is 206.8 which is about the lowest but CBN banned them on withdrawals abroad.
Exchange rates vary and it depends on the load at a particular region at a time,.
For instance, in China where the load frequency of overseas withdrawal is high, the X change rate is about the highest about any bank. This is to ensure that the foreign reserve of each institution is not over withdrawn. Like a check and balance thing. NB: Nigerian debit cards don't work in China s POS.
I made a withdrawal using Stanbic MS card of 1700 yuan = 58860naira Today (215.6 naira/UsD) and I also made a payment online via PayPal merchant today( ebay) and it was about 207. Naira/usd. With the same card.
So it varies regionally and different channels.

I learnt the parallel market went down today to 215 from previous 240. So I gues all the card holders institution will adjust soon. Cos it's meant to be lower than the parallel market price.
