AmazonTopaz: I found my faith again and I have centered it solely around Christ. I don't like going to Church but I enjoy NSPPD and Streams of Joy Sunday services on YouTube. It's only Pastor Jerry Eze I listen to his teachings and prayers these days. The Church is sometimes a breeding ground for abuse, sexism, classism and what not. Anyway this is a discussion for another day.
cococandy: 40 percent of cargo ships leaving China to the USA left with empty containers. Empty shelves coming to Americans in covid 19 style. So stock up now if you can. But pls don’t panic buy things you don’t need.
Just buy things that can last at room temperature for a long time. Rice and beans (this is complete fiber, carbs and protein). Canned foods. Healthy shelf stable beverages. Don’t do that Covid style of hoarding with hopes of price hiking and reselling to your fellow poor Americans.
Just buy stuff to last about a couple months if possible. Put seeds in the ground now if you have a backyard or space for containers. I could do some gardening tips if anyone is interested. I have green thumbs. Before I left California I grew everything. Radishes, carrots, turnips, tomatoes, peppers, okra, all kinds of herbs I loved gardening and if anyone has questions I can answer them in a different thread.
But don’t let your family go hungry because of the tariffs. Love y’all 😘😘😘

raumdeuter: When Britain vote, they should vote Britain LAST. Did anyone force you to make USD the reserve currency? Was Yen or Naira not in existence when you chose to use Dollar. Is anyone begging you to keep the 700bn you hold? Or doing anyone a favor?
America is tired of carrying your leeching as5 so time to carry yourself instead of crying about the choice America made for its future
The rest of the world is laughing yet you are crying and wailing everyday, The worst US state Mississippi have a higher GDP than most top EU countries No wonder you are wailing and crying to be carried. Is it jealousy or what?
Implement policies that will promote growth and prosperity instead of pushing leftists and socialists who goal is a race to the bottom
Why do you think an American want your opinion on how his country is governed or how his tax dollars is spent?. Take that conversation to Downing street and implement it to bring up the GDP and standard of living on your island and stop being a busy body
Starmer and Badenoch dey there, No American cares about them but you TDS Trump choo choo choo
Americans will entertain your opinion when UK entertains Zimbabweans opinion on who they vote into power

cococandy: You know good and well their arrest warrant for that immigrant was more than likely invalid. Or their process of enforcing it was inappropriate at the very least.
I’ve never in my 30+ years of life seen an external arrest warrant carried out in a courtroom. Except when the sitting judge rules that someone is in contempt of courtroom decorum and orders the bailiff to remand them. But I’ll defer to your legal expertise. Couldn’t they have waited until court was over to arrest the immigrant outside the courthouse?
Prastatooth ye. Kikikikikikiki likely muda likey doorta ye.
PDPGuy: A sitting judge being arrested is serious. There’s no doubt about that. But as with any criminal case — especially one involving immigration enforcement and judicial authority — the facts matter. And right now, I would like to see more of them.
Judge Hannah Dugan has been charged with obstructing a U.S. agency and concealing an individual to prevent arrest. The Department of Justice alleges that she helped an undocumented immigrant avoid being arrested by government agents at the courthouse. At this stage, I’m watching this case carefully because the facts are going to be critical.
If Judge Dugan intentionally helped someone evade a valid warrant — meaning a warrant that legally allowed federal agents to enter a courtroom and arrest that person — then sure, we may be crossing into criminal territory. But I don’t know if that’s what happened here. And based on what’s publicly available right now, I have real skepticism about the government’s case.
We’ve seen in other high-profile prosecutions that the government’s early allegations often don’t hold up once the facts are tested in court. Charges can sound convincing when first announced — but not every case ends the way it starts.
That said, I understand why people are linking this arrest to broader constitutional concerns. There is growing public anxiety about attacks on the judiciary — from online threats, to political figures encouraging the disregard of Supreme Court rulings, to a more general erosion of respect for judicial independence. Viewed in that context, the arrest of a sitting judge by federal authorities — even over conduct tied to a specific case — understandably feels alarming to many people.
The government will eventually have to prove whether Judge Dugan’s actions meet the high legal standard for obstruction or concealment. And yes — I do believe this is an example of the government showing: “If you disagree with us, if you interfere with our immigration enforcement efforts, we will come down on you with the full weight of the law.”
I believe this case deserves close scrutiny. And before you rush to defend it, ask yourself honestly: If the political parties were reversed — if this were a Democratic administration arresting a Republican judge — would you still think it was justified? I do not know. Maybe you would.

IjeBos: Seems like an intent to intimate judges. I don't understand why ICE couldn't make the arrest anywhere else inside the courthouse outside her courtroom esp. since they didn't have a proper warrant. I understand her desire to protect her courtroom. Playing a very dangerous game.

cococandy: It’s people like Raum (most likely living in liberal parts of Texas) that are actually the reason Texas has a good(ish) economy to speak of. And of course oil. You know the way Nigeria has oil but we have terrible leaders? Exactly like that. The oil and immigrants like Raum are the only reason why Texas has a reasonable economy compared to other red states. But they keep railing against immigration.
They’ll brag about Texas because they are in the diverse areas, full of immigrants from African countries. But tell them to actually move to rural areas where red values are at an all time high. Where they have Sundown towns that you dare not stray carelessly at night if you’re black. Then you’ll know they don’t actually love the conservatism they champion.
As a black person living in a ruby red neighborhood, you’ll learn quickly that even your local sheriff is in on it. If you go missing one week to your wedding (full of life and hope for the future) but somehow you’re are found hanging in a tree, they’ll rule it suicide and go on about their day.
That’s why all these African conservatives are still smart enough to know they won’t move to Missouri or Mississippi or Alabama despite telling us how much they love racist white people. 😮💨
