I will recommend bed rest, let her be on bed rest and try not to stress herself at all, even when she feels fine, she should still take things easy. Have doctors checked if she has a weak cervix? Have blood issues or hormonal issues?
Bed rest is what she has always been doing fortunately for her she is a civil servant that her boss understand. And she has been on bed rest since the day we discovered she is pregnant.
she does not have all the aforementioned issues. When a prof of gynecologist in uith later opened up that as far as all the test did stated no problem from my end and her end that we should be prayerful.

She may or may not be experiencing morning sickness (tiredness, nausea, vomiting, spitting, etc. You can google the symptoms)
Please be there for her as much as you can. If she's craving something, try to get it for her cos taking it may relieve her symptoms.

Other mamas share their experiences here. The information shared will be useful to you so keep up with the thread.

My Birth Story
P. S *LONG POST ALERT*

I and my dear husband got married October 2015. We didn't see having children immediately as top priority, So we just left it to God. In August 2016, I felt I was pregnant but was still seeing my period(though very irregular) and all pt showed negative.
October 1st 2016 night, was about to go home from work when I felt a very sharp pain on one side of my lower abdomen. It was so severe that someone had to drive down to pick me home. I and hubby turned the night to prayer night cos we cldnt sleep as I was in serious pain. When day broke, went to the hospital, series of tests and scans were carried out and it was confirmed the pregnancy was ectopic and we were advised to evacuate it. Hmmmm. I and hubby can be stubborn at times when it comes to some spiritual matters sha.. We decided not to do it and watch what happens. On the exact date of our traditional marriage , the pain came back and I was rushed to the hospital. After much deliberation, the operation was done. A week later, which was our one year wedding
anniversary, went to the hospital to remove the stitches. What a way to mark one year anniversary *smiles*. But the amazing thing was that we weren't bothered despite what happened. We just kept our faith in God.
Few weeks later,we resumed kpekus. In January this year during one of the Sunday services, I was praying and it dawned in my spirit that the children were set to come. When we got home, discussed with my hubby abt it and he said he also had same feeling but didn't want to tell me yet.
We did not even know I had already taking in until I missed my period the following month.
I would say I had a very smooth pregnancy. I experienced MS between late 6th week to early 9th week and it was only at night I was disturbed.
Fast-forward to 34wks+5days. Strong contractions came, went to the hospital and was told it was pre-term labor. Sabultamol was given and it subsided.
26th September(38wks+1day), was feeling somehow at work but ignored it. Got home at night only to notice little discharge(spot). By 11pm/12, I started having contractions symptoms so decided to time it and noticed it was coming at certain intervals. To be sincere, I took it to be false labor cos of my previous encounter. I told dh about it and we concluded we would "branch" the hospital before going to work the next day.
When it was dawn, I reluctantly put the hospital bag in the car. On getting to the hospital, told the nurse I wanted to see the doctor.Becos I was looking normal, she asked if it was urgent or I could wait till they finished their morning devotion. I told her it was urgent cos I needed to go to work as well. She observed me and took my card to the doctor. I complained to the doctor and he decided to do V.E.. Lo and behold he told me I was 4cm dilated shocked shocked shocked .Said I have to be admitted immediately cos I was already in labor. Went out to tell my husband and he was shocked as well. He decided to go alone and come back by 2pm which wld be 6hrs according to the doctor's calculation.
In less than an hour I had gotten to 6cm. I just called dh to come back. Membrane was ruptured at 8cm. By 11:30am or thereabout, I was fully dilated. Pushing was something else. After the second push, baby's head was seen but according to the nurse, the cord was tied round his neck so episiotomy was given and the baby came out at third push crying his lungs out.
Injections were given and the epis site was repaired.
In all, God is to be praised. People who saw me at home that morning didn't believe I had put to bed when I called them cheesy
God is Awesome and He is too faithful to fail.

Thanks for taking time to read this long post kiss

Cappo Pweetiebabe, my B.S submitted. wink
congratulations

thank u mama. that is the hospital we have been using since 2013. the challenge there was that she has 7 miscarragies(this happens whenever she is in her 3months) and we have tried to use some of the best private hospitals around. even uith. my wife was the first patient to go on sarclage after 9weeks in Uith but the baby stopped breathing after 13weeks. All these while she usually go on evacuation after the loss of the pregnancy. Now she is pregnant. I just wants to be more careful on this 8 one.

One of the cronies of the embattled former Minister of Petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke has put up his property for sale as fraud investigations gather momentum.

Nigerian billionaire, Kola Aluko has put up his $51 million plush Manhattan apartment for Sale for just $39 million.

PoliticsNGR gathered that the luxurious Manhattan apartment is up for sale for $11million less than he bought it for. The 48-year-old energy businessman who is being hunted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC and facing corruption charges alongside the former minister of petroleum, Diezani Allison Madueke, bought the property called ‘Apartment 79’ in the One57 building in 2014 for $51.9million.

And now as he tries to evade arrest – the penthouse apartment is now up for sale for just $39.9million. He listed the property as a ‘motivated seller’, in order words he is looking for a quick buyer.

The 6,240 square foot apartment is described as a four bed, four-and-a-half bathroom penthouse with stunning views of Central Park, the Hudson and East rivers, the Empire State building and the Statue of Liberty.

It is described as a ‘once in a lifetime investment opportunity’ as it’s the ‘last remaining full floor residence at Manhattan’s New Crown Jewel, One 57 Condominium.

Aluko who is also accused of bribing Nigeria’s oil minister – Diezani Alison-Madueke – in a $1.76billion dollar scheme to defraud the country’s oil sale profits is believed to be hiding out on his yacht as he has not been seen publicly since May.

Investigations reveal that he was last seen in Hong-kong but his yacht, a 213-foot Galactica Star, worth $80 million is currently in the Bahamas.

hatchy:
These boys were recruited and armed by politicians like the state governor, Wike to win election at all cost and now the election is over the boys are idle and turn their guns on the public unleashing mayhem, kidnapping and robbing people in broad day light.

Two weeks ago the state governor openly accused SARS of robbery and kidnapping because they went after these boys, arresting and killing some of them which infuriated governor Wike.

Rivers state is now one of the most dangerous place to live and do business surpassing Syria and Mosul in Iraq as Kidnapping, robbery and killings are a daily occurrence.

Omoku axis where Felix Obua the PDP state party chairman hails from is a no go area as cultists operate with impunity. Felix Obua, aka Go round is well known to many of sponsoring cultists and armed them to decimate his political foes.
Now he has succeeded the boys have turned the area to a lawless zone engaging soldiers openly in shooting.

It is high time elders and stake holders in Rivers state find a lasting solution to these criminality going on in the state before "water pass garri"
but before the last election I am so certain that rivers state has been like this because I served in rivers state in 2010. and this type of issue has been occurring since then. my tale

CrimeOgba Mayhem:-how Gunmen Kill 3 Policemen After Buying Them Beer – Witness by kokozain(op): 5:41am On Sep 26, 2017
A staff of the Ogba Zoological Garden and Natural Park in Benin, Helen Juchei, has related how three policemen were killed by yet to be identified gunmen after buying them beer.

The hoodlums who went away with the service rifles of the three policemen, also abducted the Director of the Zoo, Mr. Andy Ehanire.

Ehanire is the younger brother to the Minister of State for Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire, and a former Senator and wife of a retired army General, Daisy Danjuma.

Juchei who was on duty on the fateful Sunday, said fun seekers who witnessed the incident, confirmed that the assailants bought three bottles of Heineken beer for their victims before shooting them, after the policemen carelessly laid their gun on the ground to drink their beer.

“Yesterday after I finished my normal duty in the morning, people were just entering the Zoo. And at this time, my boss has not come. We usually come before our boss and when he eventually came at about 1 pm, it was now my turn to take over my duty, I went to tell him that I was having a birthday party to attend and that was how he granted me the permission and I left for the birthday hoping to come back to assume duty later in the day.

“When I eventually came back at about 6 pm, I met three policemen lying dead on the ground. I was very shocked and what I saw after was people running for safety and the boss taken away.

“It was those whom we met at the scene that told us what happened.

“They said the kidnappers paid to enter the Zoo with a torn money which was rejected by the cashier at the gate. When the money was rejected, he went back to get a better money to pay the entrance fee.

“At this time, their informants have already gained entrance into the Zoo as fun seekers. When the informants had finally studied the terrain, one of them engaged our director in conversation.

“Our boss started telling him his plans to put up a world tourism day. As one of them engaged my boss in a conversation, the other one went straight to the security personnel and asked him if they have not closed for the day and decided to order for drinks for the officers providing security for the Zoo.

“This was what those who were there told us. So they bought them Heineken and as they laid down their guns to drink, that was when the hoodlums opened fire on them and killed the three police officers.

“We have not heard any information about the whereabouts of our boss,” she narrated.

Another staff of the Zoo, Mr. Zontondji Emmanuel, narrated how the hoodlums shot the police officers.

“I was on duty, I resumed by 5:30 pm and as I came in, I went round to inspect the animals and the visitors on ground. And after having done that, I came back to the reception where the Executive Director was sitting down and there was another one sitting at this end. There were two policemen sitting by him. So I went outside to observe what was going on outside.

“Outside, I saw an Audi 80 car parked and suddenly, I saw three men coming out with guns and one of them wearing a bullet proof vest and I thought that they were normal policemen who usually come here for normal security reasons.

“Suddenly, I saw them running into the zoo premises which is very unusual and when they entered, they started shooting immediately. So, all of us outside started running for our dear lives. I was calling on people running to give us police numbers, nobody was ready to stop because they were all afraid.

“But at the time I watched from afar and I saw that the men were going out with my Director. They went into the Audi Car and zoomed away. I now came into the Zoo premises and I saw the three policemen who were supposed to be guarding the director lying dead on the ground. After that, the DPO now came to take the dead bodies away,” Emmanuel said.

When journalists visited the family house of the abducted Zoo Director, Andy Ehanire, at the GRA, the family members were yet to come to terms with the incident.

They said what they needed at the moment was prayers for the deceased cops and the safe release of the abducted Zoo Director.

Meanwhile, the State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Haliru Gwandu, has described the incidence as unfortunate and assured that all hands were on deck to fish out the hoodlums.

Gwandu who spoke when he made an on-the-spot assessment visit to the zoo, described the killers of the three police officers as militants.

“It was an unfortunate incident. We lost three of our personnel. This is the activities of the militants because of the high sea now.

“They came and unfortunately killed our policemen, but we are on the trail of the hoodlums. We are able to recover the vehicles they used to perpetrate the act. We are using all the available means including the high tech to fish out the perpetrators.

“They cannot go scot free. Let me assure the general public in Edo State that we are on top of the situation and that they should go about their normal duty. All hands are on deck to ensure that the hoodlums are fished out,” he said.

Gunmen suspected to be cult members ambushed a patrol team of Police Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, along the Emuoha section of the East West Road at about 9 am on Monday.  The gun duel between the police officers and the criminal gang resulted in the death of a member of the cult group while a policeman was also seriously injured.

One pistol and other weapons were recovered from the scene by the Police at the end of the encounter.

While confirming the incident, the Commander of SARS in Rivers State, Akin Fakorode said :”We had encounter with cult group in Emohua this morning. We were on patrol to stop kidnappings and robberies in that axis and to make the East-West road safe for travellers, when we were attacked. A gun battle ensured leading to the death of one of the cult members.

“No arrest has been made yet, we are still on the trail of other members of the cult group. We just recovered some of the weapons of the cult members.

Akin Fakarode confirmed that one of the cult members died during the gun battle, while the injured SARS officer was in the intensive care unit in the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital.

The Rivers State Police Command also confirmed that the gunmen who attacked the SARS patrol team were cult members

The Police Public Relations Officer, Nnamdi Omoni, said the team were on routine patrol when it was attacked leading to the exchange of gunfire between the SARS operatives and the cult members.

He said the presence of the SARS operatives in the State was to check frequent incidents of kidnappings, armed robberies and other criminal vices on the major highway.

Some stranded motorists during the exchange of fire between SARS armed gunmen at Emohua axis of the East-West road. Credit: Alexander Aghedo

An eyewitness,  Aghedo Alexander,  narrated the incident on his Facebook. According to him, “I witnessed everything on my way to Ahoada, my office. I was caught in crossfire or will I say ambush, after backup came from SARS and they cleared the blockage at OGBAKRI junction chasing this protesting cult boys into the bush, and telling motorist to continue their journey.

“Unknown to us and the SARS team that these cultists have mounted another ‘burn fire’ and road block 2 kilometers away from the first one SARS cleared, the boys came out from the bush and started shooting at motorists. Thank Goodness my driver was fast enough to make a U-turn. Thank God for safety”.

Another eyewitness, Ohaka Bob Ikpendu, narrated, “I was caught in between, I pleaded and pleaded with them, I spoke all the Ikwerre language in me today just to prevent them from smashing the car and harassing me and the others I was travelling with.

“We truly have a big problem in Rivers State. I saw very angry, idle and destructive youths, who were so available to cause mayhem at the snap of a finger there. There has to be a programme for youths in this state there are a lot of youths idle and available to commit crime,” Ikpendu said in his Face book page.

CultureGunmen Open Fire As Olubadan Installs Mogajis, Baales At The Palace(pics) by kokozain(op): 4:03pm On Sep 25, 2017
Some journalists as well as some influential politicians were lucky to escape death on Monday after some gunmen opened fire during installation of Mogajis and Baales in Ibadan.
Unknown gunmen reportedly shot sporadically at the palace of the Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Saliu Adetunji, during installation of Mogajis and Baales on Monday.
Punch newspaper who exclusively reported the story narrated thus;
"Three journalists; Olufemi Atoyebi, Demola Babalola, Jeremiah Oke; and a chieftain of Labour Party who was a former Secretary to the Oyo State Government, Sharafadeen Alli, were among the people who escaped death while the shooting lasted.
"While the activity was going on, the four gunmen in a black Toyota Sienna opened fire sporadically around 11:45am, shattering Alli’s car’s glass windows and other cars parked in front of the palace.
"The journalists, who were just arriving at the gate of the palace, were caught in the fire, but they escaped being shot as they ducked for cover in the drainage outlet in front of the palace.
"They were there for about 10 minutes until the gunmen sped off towards Molete end of Popoyemoja. Alli, who is the Asaju Balogun Olubadan of Ibadan land, was also lucky, as he was inside the car when bullets hit his car.
"The gunmen stopped in front of the palace, shooting and daring people inside the palace to come out and confront them. The shooting, however, did not stop the coronation inside the palace."

PoliticsAsk Abaribe, Others If You Are Looking For Nnamdi Kanu – Garba Shehu by kokozain(op): 6:16pm On Sep 21, 2017
The Presidency has said that those demanding for the whereabouts of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu should direct their inquiries to those who signed Kanu’s bail in April.

President Muhammadu Buhari’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu made the remark on Thursday.

According to Shehu, “I am surprised someone would ask this question. Look, some people went to court and obtained his freedom, they signed his bail.

“I believe that a high profile group including a Senator of the Federal Republic signed in a court of law and obtained his freedom. So, if you are looking for him, why don’t you ask the people who bailed him?

“Nobody has informed me that Mr Kanu is in the hands of any institution of government. But if I was looking for him, I would ask the guy who bailed him because that is the deal he has with the court of the land.”

Recall that counsel to the IPOB leader, Ifeanyi Ejiofor had alleged that Kanu had gone missing after his residence was raided by some soldiers on September 14.

The Management of Dangote Industries Limited (Dangote Group) has issued a passionate appeal to members of the public to assist in monitoring and reporting both recklessness and illegal haulage of contrabands goods by some of its truck drivers.

The company has also set up hotlines for the public to report such truck drivers, with a promise to appropriately compensate calls that lead to arrest of errant drivers.

Noting that trucks belonging to Dangote Cement are only allowed to carry cement, high grade gypsum and coal; those belonging to Dangote Sugar (NASCON) are authorised to carry only salt and Dan Q seasoning; and trucks belonging to Agrosacks, the bags producing arm of Dangote group, can only carry bags, belonging to Dangote flour mills, wheat, flour and Danvita.

The Management of Dangote Group in a statement alerting and encouraging the public to report any suspected Dangote Truck driver involved in illegal haulage provided hotlines to make such reports.

“Please call Dangote Industries Limited Management hotline on all information regarding illegal haulage activities on 01- 2123567, 08070188000, 08170023846, 08152093133 and or email [email protected]”
Dangote Group Management also issued a stern warning to those illegally transporting unauthorised goods through its trucks.

“Dangote Industries Limited also wishes to warn those that illegally transport materials on Dangote truck that such unauthorized goods, when found, shall be confiscated and such owners prosecuted to the full extent of the law.”

It would be recalled that the company recently intercepted one of its truck loaded with contrabands in Ibadan, arrested the drivers and handed them over to the Nigerian customs for further investigations and prosecutions. The arrest was effected by a crack team of the company’s security personnel led by its Chief Security Officer who acted on intelligence, bordering on misconduct by some of its drivers.

While handing over the drivers and his motor boy to the Customs Authority, the Assistant General Manager in charge of Security Services, Ali Garba, explained that the company has a surveillance section that monitors all his trucks and drivers’ activities.

The Police in Abia State said yesterday that soldiers recovered Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and petrol bombs from the house of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, in the state.

The items are now in the custody of the police, according to Police Commissioner Anthony Ogbizi.
Ogbizi briefing the visiting Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Operations, Force Headquarters, Taiwo Lakanu, in Umuahia said the Station Officer of the Ariaria Police Divisional Headquarters in Aba that was attacked last week by suspected members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) died yesterday.

He had sustained serious injuries when the station was attacked by the arsonists and was subsequently taken to the hospital for treatment.

Ogbizi said the Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) died early yesterday in an undisclosed hospital where he was receiving medical attention.

The Police Commissioner also said 37 suspected members of IPOB were arrested in the state in connection with last week’s unrest.

The suspects will be arraigned in court tomorrow.
Thirty of them were arrested by soldiers in Isiala Ngwa area of the state, while the remaining seven are accused of having a hand in the Friday looting and burning of the Ariaria Police Divisional Headquarters.
Police Commissioner Anthony Ogbizi told the visiting Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Operations, Force Headquarters Taiwo Lakanu that efforts were on to arrest more suspects in connection with the mayhem.
He said soldiers recovered Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and petrol bombs from Nnamdi Kanu’s house.

The items are now in police custody.
He added that the Station Officer, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, who sustained serious injuries after he was attacked by the arsonists, died early hours of today in an undisclosed hospital where he was receiving medical attention.

He recalled how arsonists forcefully broke the police station’s entrance zone and destroyed almost everything.

He said: “They were armed with petrol bomb. They burnt police vehicles and carted away three pump actions and other police materials. Some officers were injured and in fact as I’m talking to you, one of the injured police officer, an ASP is dead.

“The doctors tried their best to save him, but they couldn’t. Now, we have lost a soul. And you know what it takes to train a police officer. And you know the vacuum created. Once a police officer is gone, it takes a minimum of one year to train another.

The seven we arrested will be charged for murder, arson and conspiracy for breach of the law.
“Simultaneously, they carried other attacks on law abiding citizens of this nation. You could see along the road the destruction of vehicles belonging to citizens. Certainly you cannot say that that is a peaceful demonstration. I think this attack was orchestrated to get arms which they succeeded in doing. Thank God the police succeeded in securing other arms. They attacked a bank may be with the intention to get more money to buy arms.

“IPOB, going to that extent, cannot say that it is a non-violent movement. While this one was happening here, along the road in Isiala Ngwa, the same IPOB members in droves confronted the military and the military were able to arrest up to 30 of them.

“They will be prosecuted for rioting and unlawful assembly and other things. While that was going on, the same IPOB carried attack of various manner in Umuahia and even tried to collect a rifle from a female military officer. In the process, the military resisted and were able to arrest 19 of them.

“At the same time, along the road leading to Umuahia, they set up bonfire attacking the police and innocent citizens and pulled out traffic stands. The vicinity where the Attorney General of the State, Assistant Inspector General Zone 9, Commissioner of Police, and other residents live. They attacked the quarters of the Assistant Inspector General of Police Zone 9 and that of the Commissioner of Police.

“And the house of the self acclaimed leader of IPOB, Kanu was the house they usually come out from to carry out these attacks and information reaching us is that they have started gathering there. Many exhibits were recovered from there like petrol bomb and coat of arm of Biafra.

“I know that 90% of Abians are not in support of this, but a few hoodlums and some others from other states operating under the disguise of IPOB with the motive to cripple the economy of Abia. If this is not planned, how could they come in droves to carry out these attacks? At a time, a mobile patrol vehicle was moving and IPOB members poured petrol on the van with intent to burn it. Imagine if that was successful. I’m glad that eastern governors have proscribed the organisation.

On the allegation by IPOB that security agents whisked away Kanu’s father and some members of the IPOB leader’s family, Ogbizi said “We don’t have Kanu’s father in police net.”

The Police Command in Nasarawa State has arrested a 20 - year -old housewife , Aisha Isah, for allegedly throwing into a well her two stepdaughters , Zainab 4 , and Baaba 2 , over a disagreement with the children’ s mother .
The Public Relations Officer of the command , DSP Kennedy Idirisu , said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Thursday in Lafia .
Idirisu said the suspect was arrested in Yelwan - Bassa village in Kokona Local Government Area following a report of the incident .
He said the suspect had confessed to the crime and expressed remorse over her action.
He said investigation revealed that Aisha, who is the second wife of Alhaji Isah, was always at loggerheads with the first wife , Maimuna , and that all efforts by their husband to settle their differences were unsuccessful .
The PPRO said Aisha claimed that the first wife was always instigating her children not to run errands for her , a development that infuriated her since she had no child of her own.
She said she had given birth to a baby girl in 2016 , but the baby died after six months .
Idirisu said Aisha had thrown baby Baaba into the well in April but since no one saw her , the family believed the baby accidentally fell into the well and died .
On August 26 , the police spokesman said , Aisha raised alarm that another child , Zainab , had fallen into the well and the husband dashed into the well to rescue the baby .
He said the husband brought out the baby dead , with her hands tied , which drew suspicion from the family and villagers leading to the arrest of Aisha .
According to him, Aisha later confessed to the crime and also accepted responsibility for the death of baby Baaba in April .
He said the suspect would be prosecuted as soon as investigation into matter was concluded .( NAN )
