I saw a Daily Trust Newspaper report yesterday 18th August, 2025 comparing Nigerian University Professors and Acamedicians Annual net salaries with their counterparts in Africa specifically Niger Republic, Gambia, Mauritius, South Africa etc and I shed tears for Nigeria.

Nigerian Professors are the some of least paid in the whole world. Our currency has been so badly devalued that once compared with saner climes it's an appauling situation.
