I honestly don't know how those who think they have read the bible believe Jesus was poor. Where in the bible did Jesus ever have a need that wasn't met immediately, or where did he beg for anything. We seem to assume because he was the son of a carpenter he was poor but correction all you ignoramuses out there. Let us imagine the world before industries, where everything was hand made and ask our selves how valuable will a carpenter be. Where everything was made of wood or had wooden parts. A carpenter would be a very vital piece a the production chain and now ask yourself can such vital / important person be poor. Ignoring that let's bring it to our modern era, the 21st century. Assuming someone is poor just because he is know as a carpenter or worse a carpenter's son is just beyond STUPID. It like saying Dangote is poor because he is a farmer. We tend to look down on some professions and that is incredibly DUMB. People also tend to. Maybe i don't know think Jesus didn't wear expensive clothe forgetting that while he hung on the cross, the roman soldiers were gambling with his clothing as the prize. Why not just burn it a toss it aside if it was so valueless. Let view history. In the time of Jesus, there were only 2 possibilities. You were either dirt poor, our filthy rich. You either get richer or poorer. Now considering that Joseph actually considered staying in the Inn and ñot on the streets means he could easily afford it. He couldn't stay there because it was already filled up not because he couldn't afford it. Joseph was able to just wake up and live the country without planning for it in advance and to probably the most a civilised state at that. That's like just waking up and say hey you know what honey let's travel to the States. Now to his disciples. A lot of us tend to forget one thing about the Infamous Judas Iscariot. He was Jesu's treasurer i mean how many broke ass people do you know with a treasurer... Jesus soooo wasn't poor. |
