BitPesa is seeking a driven individual with an interest in frontier markets and strong understanding of social media platforms to coordinate and execute our social media marketing strategy. Working under the guidance of the Head of Marketing and Communications, the Social Media Marketing Intern is responsible for the daily management of the organization's online presence and engagement through platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Administration includes content strategy, develop brand awareness, generate inbound traffic, and cultivate leads and sales. This position will require a minimum of 20-40 hours per week and college credits are available where appropriate. Responsibilities: Manage Social Media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities including: • Curate relevant content (images, video and written) to reach the organization's target audiences • Monitor, listen and respond to users in a "social" way while cultivating leads and sales • Conduct online advocacy and open stream for cross-promotions. • Oversee design (ie: Facebook Timeline cover, profile pic, thumbnails, ads, landing pages, Twitter profile, and blog). • Maintain on-going reports • Become an advocate for BitPesa in Social Media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate • Monitor trends in Social Media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy • Identify opportunities in user-generated content surrounding the business Qualifications: • Interest in building communities and generating awareness on Social Media • College degree or in pursuit of college degree • Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of Social Media Platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn) • Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills • Interest or experience in emerging markets such as Southeast Asia, Africa, or LatAm. • Goal oriented with the ability to work under fast paced and high pressure environments Location: The position is based either in Lagos, Nigeria . An IT Officer is urgently needed by an Infrastructure Development company located in Lagos. Job Purpose The IT Officer will be responsible for providing IT support to all units in the Company. Qualification BSc degree or Higher National Diploma in information technology, systems engineering, computer networking and hardware, computer science, software engineering or related fields. Professional certification in Microsoft MCSE, Linux REDHAT and Cisco CCNA technologies Software applications are desirable. CompTIA A+ Certification is a must have. Provides IT support, while monitoring and maintaining the Company’s systems and networks. Key responsibilities 1. Installs and configures computer systems. 2. Installs new software and hardware (e.g. servers, printers, computer network stations, etc.). 3. Installs anti-virus protection on all systems. 4. Diagnoses and solves software and network faults and escalates to Management when necessary. 5. Provides technical support for employees using the network. 6. Trains staff on new systems and supervises helpdesk staff when necessary. 7.
