https://blitzgoal.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/mario-mandzukic-atletico-madrid_14sekaw5xzhpn1nbtrfvxx48t6.jpg The striker will undergo a medical on Monday and end his one-year stay at Atletico Madrid Atletico Madrid striker Mario Mandzukic is on the verge of joining Juventus for €18 million and will have a medical on Monday, Goal understands. Atletico boss Diego Simeone hinted on Tuesday that the Croatia international could leave after claiming the club would decide the player’s future rather than him. Juventus have since emerged as the frontrunners to sign Mandzukic after Carlos Tevez informed the club of his desire to return to Boca Juniors. The Champions League runners-up have moved quickly to fill the expected void by agreeing a basic €15m fee, with a further €3m in add-ons. Juve have also agreed personal terms with Mandzukic, who will earn €3.5m a year after tax with an option to extend the deal by an extra 12 months until June 2019. All that is left to finalise the move is for the former Bayern Munich attacker to complete a medical, which he is expected to do early next week. The Bianconeri have already spent €32m on Paulo Dybala from Palermo, while Sami Khedira has joined the club on a free transfer after leaving Real Madrid. There is a long list of reasons why Cech’s transfer to Arsenal should be a no-brainer. There are the statistics, there is the experience, the character and a lot of other reasons why Wenger should insist on signing the Czech international even with Mourinho’s adversity. All these have been mentioned over and over but one very important detail slipped everyone’s attention. According to ESPN, probably the most important reason for which Cech should come to the Emirates is to give Arsenal time to try and also improve their staff. In 2003 when David Seaman ended his 13 year long career Wenger brought in Gerry Peyton as goalkeeping coach and since then none of the stoppers who defended Arsenal’s goal managed to stand out and most importantly, to provide the much needed continuity and reliability that gives a team confidence. https://blitzgoal.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/wpid-chpqkx8woae84-41.jpg Even though Lehmann was great, he was bought while he was 33 and had only a limited time to play. Almunia was the first to get under Peyton’s guidance and lack consistency. There was also Mart Proom who went by unnoticed and spent only one year at the Emirates. Then there were Vito Mannone, Lukasz Fabianski and even Szczesny, none of which managed to reach their full potential. They struggled, lacked confidence, and failed to be on the same level as the rest of the team on several occasions. Now, there is Ospina who seems very likely to be going down the same path as the others. Hopefully, Wenger will sign Cech and find a way to upgrade yet another part of his staff that seems to be failing alongside the medical staff who cannot find a way to prevent players from getting injured over and over again. http:///BFfmXX |
The Blues are ready to move for the Zenit midfielder as Turkish and Middle Eastern clubs target Mikel, while Baba Rahman is also on the radar at Stamford Bridge Chelsea are set to move for Zenit St Petersburg midfielder Axel Witsel as Jose Mourinho plans to bolster his squad ahead of next season. https://blitzgoal.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/1542422_heroa.jpg The Blues have identified Witsel as they look to improve their midfield options, with John Obi Mikel set to leave Stamford Bridge amid interest from Turkey and the Middle East. Witsel, 26, is eager to leave Zenit this summer and is a target for Serie A champions Juventus, but Chelsea believe he would prefer a transfer to west London. *Witsel’s stats in the Champions League & Europa League in 2014-15 Mourinho is keen to ensure that Chelsea build on their Premier League title triumph this season and wants a side that can also challenge for the Champions League. Witsel would be considered a direct replacement for Mikel as a holding midfielder to challenge Nemanja Matic for a starting place. Mikel, 28, has been told he can leave Chelsea this summer and the Blues are hoping to offload him to a club in Turkey. Chelsea’s chances of landing Witsel will be boosted by the fact that the Belgian and Mourinho are represented by the same agent, Jorge Mendes. Witsel cost Zenit €40 million when he signed from Benfica in 2012 but he wants a new challenge after winning the Russian title last season under Andre Villas-Boas. Meanwhile, Chelsea are considering a swoop for Augsburg left-back Baba Rahman. The 20-year-old Ghanaian has been the subject of glowing reviews from Blues scouts thanks to his performances in the Bundesliga. http://blitzgoal.com/2015/06/18/mourinho-targets-witsel-as-chelsea-put-mikel-up-for-sale/ |
The 37-year-old insists he will play on for at least one more season but has confirmed that it will not be at Stamford Bridge, where he has now won four Premier League titles Didier Drogba has announced Sunday's clash with Sunderland will be his last as a Chelsea player as he will leave the club at the end of the season. The Ivorian made a surprise return to Stamford Bridge last summer on a one-year contract and has chipped in with crucial goals against Manchester United, Tottenham and Leicester City to help Jose Mourinho's men secure a first Premier League title since 2010 - and Drogba's fourth of an illustrious career. And while Drogba insists he is not yet ready to hang up his boots just yet, the 37-year-old has confirmed he is once again calling time on his Chelsea career - though he expects to return to the club in a non-playing capacity. "I want to play for at least one more season and in order to play more football I feel I need to go to another club," he told the club's official website. "All the fans know my love for Chelsea and I hope to be back here in the future in another role." Drogba first left Chelsea in the summer of 2012, having scored the dramatic equaliser and winning penalty in the club's miraculous Champions League final triumph over Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena. As reward for his career with the Blues, Drogba will captain the side against Dick Advocaat's team before the team get their hands on the Premier League trophy at full-time. HKN Gang star artiste Davido, who is known to be a big spender, has invested some of his money in real estate. Way back in March, he mentioned that he was house hunting during one of his several US trips and as of today he has found one. The US-born 22-year-old pop sensation shared several clips on his snap chat of his new Atlanta home which is speculated to be about N33M and for someone who calls himself ‘omo baba olowo’ (son of a rich man), it’s not too pricey. During his visit to the US in the last couple of days, he has been hopping from city to city working on his album, partying, hanging out with Meek Mill and Akon as well. Guys, Davido is balling! http://www.koolcrib.com/2015/05/the-big-spender-davido-buys-house-in.html |

The Brazil international had looked set to leave Camp Nou on a free transfer at the end of the season after rejecting the club's previous offer of a one-year extension, with the option of two more if he were to play at least 60 per cent of the Blaugrana's games each season. Alves' agent, Dinorah Santa Ana, called a press conference on April 9 during which she claimed there would be no further contract talks and that the right-back was saddened by both Barca's stance and the prospect of his imminent exit. The defender's representative, who is also his ex-wife, also claimed another club had offered her client a three-year deal "with a higher wage". However, Alves was not entirely won over by the proposal, while expected interest from Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain never materialised. Furthermore, the 32-year-old always wanted to remain in Barcelona. Firstly, his family is settled in the city. Secondly, Alves intends to open a Brazilian restaurant in the Catalan capital. Consequently, when Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu returned with a fresh contract offer of two further seasons, Alves was more than happy to accept. The club's change of heart was in part motivated by Alves' excellent form over the past month, with the attacking full-back having played a key role in Barca's charge towards the Liga title, as well as their Champions League wins over PSG and Bayern Munich. Indeed, the feeling now is that Alves, even at 32, still has plenty to offer at the highest level, while there is also the acknowledgement that Barca would struggle to find an adequate replacement given their transfer ban runs until January. Consequently, a compromise has been reached and will now be made official before the end of the month. http://www.koolcrib.com/2015/05/dani-alves-to-sign-new-contract-with.html |

Hazard left Lille for Stamford Bridge in a deal worth £32 million in 2012 and Rudi Garcia - coach of the Ligue 1 club at the time - claimed that a phone call from owner Roman Abramovich persuaded the forward to join the Blues. However, Hazard has now insisted that was not the case, instead revealing that Drogba convinced him to snub rival interest from Manchester United and link up with the Blues. "I didn't want to go to Chelsea because I wanted to play the Champions League and they were sixth in the league," Hazard told the Daily Mirror. "I was convinced when they won the Champions League in 2012. "At the time, Roberto Di Matteo really wanted me, they had Juan Mata, and Oscar had been bought. I was told: 'You'll see, Chelsea will play football'. "Gervinho called me and said: 'Someone's on the phone'. I didn't know who it was but it was Drogba, he wanted me to sign. "I was flattered, he was maybe the best striker in the world. In my head, I wasn't going to sign, but in the end I was very pleased with my choice. I didn't speak to Abramovich. "I don't know why coach Garcia wrote that in his book." Hazard has won the Premier League, League Cup and Europa League since his arrival from Lille. http://www.koolcrib.com/2015/05/hazard-drogba-convinced-me-to-join.html |
