I stopped buying things from one Mallam in our street because he is always fond of picking nose. The other Okrika man just purchased small small dogs and the children will be carrying it around like babies, later they will use same hands to sell something, I don't fancy dogs and cats loitering where people sell edibles |
Authoreety:From the past experiences in Nigeria, this is absolutely true, from politicians to pastors and musicians, this is more than coincidence. |
This thread is insightful, it's supposed to reach five pages by now. Op let me chip in my two cents. These are few causes of poverty 1. Spirituality 2. Mindset 3. Poor foundation Pray for Grace, look for opportunities that you can benefit from, have the mindset of a go getter. Most importantly, if you are working but no result. You need serious prayer, don't pay anybody to help your spiritual life, save yourself. Village people is real, pray against their telepathic projectiles, pray against ancestral curses as well. I am a living witness. This life is a complete mystery. |
Following the recent thread about China sentencing a public office holder to death over corruption: [https://www.nairaland.com/8704812/china-sentences-official-yang-youlin/1](https://www.nairaland.com/8704812/china-sentences-official-yang-youlin/1) It got me thinking about the need to place limits on human greed. This raises a question that deserves serious discussion: How much money is enough for a person to live comfortably? You can find someone worth billions of dollars, yet their basic daily needs are essentially the same as those of an average person. We all eat to stay alive, sleep under a roof for shelter, and wear clothes to protect our bodies. If these fundamental needs are already met, why do we constantly crave more wealth? This leads me to another question: Could a nation function successfully under a system like this? 1. No individual should be allowed to own more than one residential house. Those who cannot afford one could be supported through government-funded low-cost housing schemes. 2. Every citizen should have a digital ID to help reduce crime, fraud, and identity-related offenses. 3. There should be a reasonable limit to the amount of wealth an individual can accumulate. If someone exceeds that threshold, the government should investigate the source of the wealth and, where appropriate, redistribute or tax the excess to promote economic balance. 4. Each family should have a regulated maximum number of children. 5. Religion should be regulated to prevent abuse, exploitation, and activities that threaten public order. 6. Kidnapping and armed robbery should attract the death penalty. 7. Agricultural land should be made freely available to genuine farmers to encourage food production and improve food security. What are your thoughts? Would a country built on principles like these be more stable and equitable, or would such policies create more problems than they solve?

What happens to other Nigerians, so jigawa women are the only people to be empowered, the situation is simple, reduce petrol money, fight insecurity to a standstill, that's all. You don't need to share money, if you want to empower more people, look into tvet, the programme is being mismanaged by those involved. |
Kemical23:Well said, it goes both ways. Everyone has a crucial role to play in marriage, wife don't see yourself as his responsibility alone, also see him as your responsibility as well. |

This is one of the agenda of the one world order. Using nature to achieve their aim. Since majority has refused being vaccinated, they resort to using mosquitoes. Another virus will be birthed and you have no choice than to depend on the government to stay alive, just like the case of hiv. Another avenue to make mad cash for them while everyone is under their control. |
After seeing all these, do you still want to get married? ![]() |
muyico:not entirely true, even good women change, that's a fact |
You all keep talking about the virus but failed to talk about the big corporations that keeps churning out new diseases for their personal gain, why can't they research and produce the cure with the billions they spend yearly producing or subsidising the drugs. |

There is an adage that says, "if the rich tells you what it takes to be rich, you would rather prefer your current status". This is true to an extent, money as we all know is not easy to make. Without delay, these are the things only the rich can relate, so envy no one. Be satisfied with what you have. 1. Freedom, if you think money gives you absolute freedom, think again. Your financial status determines how free you are. Take for instance, you don't go places an ordinary person would go and chill due to fear of one thing or the other. You wouldn't also want to be caught doing simple everyday stuff that normal people do. 2. Trust, yes, everybody is a suspect to you, so you live your life like everybody is out there to get you. 3. Transactional lifestyle, nobody loves you genuinely, they just see you as a means to an end. You just have to keep buying the trust to keep living, bro, even your wife doesn't love you, she loves the comfort your money provides. 4. Loneliness, the rich can also be lonely, it's real, no doubt. Have you heard of that song "lonely at the top" yeah, only the rich can relate. You can have it all and yet feel empty. 5. Wishes, The rich also wish to live a normal life, after all they are human. They just want to sleep well at night but the thoughts always go wild at that moment. Alright, that's all for now, add yours ✌️ |
