jegusy2k: A masters degree without a PGD. So 3rd class can move on with master's without post graduate diploma. Issorait In as much as I've said what you've just said, I doubt if you know there are courses that doesn't need you to do PGD before masters Don't be too forward sha! We know what we are talking about. If you need examples, Sorry to disappoint you....its an assignment for you to solve (go and make your own research) |

nextstep: For the same reason a bank hires top graduates when it can: not all first class graduates are fit, but the chances of finding good leadership is much higher among those who were able to study hard, understand the material, apply the material. It speaks of mental capacity and discipline.
The chances of having a leader who understands finance is much higher if you pick from a pool of first-class graduates, than if you pick from a pool of those whose certificates are dubious, at best. I also would rather have a first class engineer in charge of our industry, than somebody who didn't understand Newton's laws. Ain't we talking about leadership anymore?. Leadership is nobody's field. Our Emirs, Obas and Igwe's back in olden days were not formally educated but their leadership made a whole lots of senses. Professionals are different from leaders. |

The problem is not the Class. It is the stupidity that won't make people agree they are not making sense. . I want to ask you OP . 1.) Who employs CEOs based on the first undergraduate degree? 2.) With PGD being the link, can't a Third-class degree turn into a Masters degree. 3.) Can't you just apologise for not thinking before writing and everyone move on? 4.) Na wa o! |

As for me, I pray God help me as I make my plans. I'm for N-agro, I'm still yet to taste my stipend. But I'm happy my name is always out on every list e.g I saw my name on the list at the ministry of Agric. I currently work as a Science teacher in a Private secondary where I earn little. But thank God I'm supervising WAEC exams as we speak, so that will add more to my pocket at the end (both from exam runs and WAEC official payment to supervisors). All of these monies plus about 90k Npower is owing me (Dec - March stipends ) can help me develop myself as I'm presently studying Computer networking (CISCO). . So it all depend on you as a person. Work towards your own plans, and Federal government's assistance at the end of Npower will be a plus. The mistakes during our NYSC year should be corrected now. |
