EducationHow To Achieve Academic Excellence by Koyeweb(op): 11:07am On Jan 29, 2015
HOW TO ACHIEVE ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

Excellence is an ability of being outstanding .It is never a trait hence, it is not hereditary. There is nosecret principle in achieving academic excellence; you just need to make use of the basics needed.
If you have looked at the achievement of others and you are like “wow, if only I could do that he/she is doing,” or you have ever wished that you performed better, earn more money, make more friends, have better health, achieve other higher level of success and so on. Believe me; you are capable of doing all that. Everyone has the potential in the world to do whatever it is they dream of or want. Following these basic keys which will be listed below, I tell you, success is yours.

PUT GOD FIRST: God himself is a God of excellence, no wonder he, made all things perfect and endows his children with excellent spirit. He has given you all that it takes to succeed at whatever you do, it is just for you to believe and tap into His abundant blessings. Obviously, I understand the place of prayer for your academics but it is not enough. Remember that faith without God is dead. Do your own part and leave the rest for God.
HAVE THE HUNGER FOR EXCELLENCE: You need to want to achieve academic excellence right? The emphasis here is on what ‘you’ want, not what others want. Make sure the goal is something you set for yourself, because unless it is, chances are you don’t really want it and if you don’t want the goal badly enough, you ....>>>>http://unnedu..com/2015/01/how-to-achieve-academic-excellence.html

This guide is for all the candidates who want to apply for The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, (JAMB) Examination, we presenting to you the common mistakes to avoid when applying for admission into any Higher Institution in Nigeria.
In the UTME, applicants are allowed to choose two universities, two polytechnics and two colleges. (Although this has changed in the 2014 UTME)
In the UTME form, you will see 1st most preferred choice, 1st more preferred choice,1st preferred choice then 2nd most preferred choice and 2nd preferred choice. In my own best form of selection, I will put it like this:
1st most preferred ……………………………………….……………
…… 1st university
1st more preferred …………………………………………………………. 1st polytechnic
1st preferred …………………………..………………………………… 1st college
2nd most preferred ……………………………………………………. 2nd university
2nd more preferred …………………………………………………….. 2nd polytechnics
3rd preferred ……………………………………………………………….. 2nd college
Take note that you can put it in any order depending on your reference. For instance, Colleges of Education may come before Polytechnics. In addition to this, there are other factors you need to keep in mind before filling in your institution. The following six points should help you in choosing your institution(s) when applying for JAMB Examination.

Cut – off Mark
You need to consider the cut-off mark of the university you intended going. This update, was gotten based on personal experience and researches from people, who have the same zeal of succeeding

You can also give us other tips you know could help readers achieving a goal towards success.

1.THE POWER OF DREAM: Most first class students dream. I do not mean metaphysical dream, I mean the Luther King definition – vision, forward-looking, even though awake. In secondary school I had a friend who once looked up and said, ‘the last time someone made an aggregate 6 (i.e minimum of 6 A1’s in SSCE) in this school was 12 years ago, I want to be the next’. He made it. Same boy told me he wanted to ‘enter the back of JAMB brochure’, meaning he wanted to be among the top 3 JAMB students in Nigeria (JAMB print at the back of the brochure for a year the names of the best 3 candidates in the prior year’s examinations). He didn’t make it, but he scored 296. When this friend of mine entered Ife, he went to his faculty’s board, where names of best students are engraved every year, looked up and said, ‘when I leav....>>>http://unnedu..com/2014/12/top-9-secrets-to-make-good-grade-in.html
