It has become alarming the way the University Authority is increasing bed space for post graduate students of Unilag.currently, a bed space for M.Sc students with the associated cost runs to the tone of about 50,000, while P.Hd students, Henry Carr PG hall has been set at about 90,000.The problem is not just the cost alone , but it is so heavily over-subscribed and no plans by the University Authority to build new halls of residence or expand existing ones to take care of the ever increasing accommodation needs of its PG applicants. The system is ridiculed with racketeering, high level favoritism and unfair treatment especially to non Lagosians who are worst hit due to their innocence and the risk of settling down for academic purposes, |
