And to add to this, Lvtopson is a good and complete brand. Drain/capacity tests have been done by Diy by Ray on tiktok and capacity is very complete. Wonder what evidence trippledots had to discourage a client aside personal gains and deception. May God forgive you. We blame tinubu, but we are worse. |

INSPECTORMAX: I need to clarify this important point for accuracy.
My original requirement from the start was a 15kWh battery, specifically LVTOPSUN, which is why I independently confirmed market pricing for the LVTOPSUN 15kWh unit before payment. I did not request a 16kWh factory-assembled battery, nor was pricing for a factory-fitted 16kWh option discussed with me prior to payment.
The discussion around a locally assembled battery arose when I was advised that it would provide “full” usable capacity compared to LVTOPSUN, which informed my decision at the time. My concern remains about whether all material trade-offs were clearly explained before that recommendation.
For accuracy, the image of the battery was shared a day before installation, after full payment had already been made, not earlier in the procurement stage. There was therefore no opportunity for a meaningful review or reconsideration of options at that point. You are intelligent, but not very smart. You paid for a locally made battery thay you havent even seen a photo/comprehensive video of. You get mind. Ill be clear with what i deduced from your complain 1. You trusted trippledots too much 2. You are not happy u paid 2m, for something you could have gotten for 1.6m 3. More unhappy, it doesnt match your initiall lvtopson choice, in terms of communication, beauty, warranty, whereas u paid same price 4. You feel cheated/deceived after trusting trippledots as per nairaland bigname... For trippledots. 1. You convinced a client to buy locally fabricated for your selfish reasons 2. You didnt specify there will be no battery communication as opposed to his initial option 3. Youre not a good person, you can make your profits without deceiving a client. 4. I read your comment, and it screamed damage control, 5. U upgraded his wire because u don chop 400k, felt like u should do something good to make u feel good. Verdict: Return part of his money if you can or Return the battery, and remove a small portion of the refund amount if you can. Or just relax and do nothing. Na your business. Complainer, if e too vex u say u no dey fit sleep at night, Arrest him, or learn your lesson and move on. Do not trust no man, even if na Guru from nairaland. |

Investment › Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by kristien4(m): 7:18pm On Sep 11, 2025 |
A305: I infact did justice to your earlier question by painting a broader picture.
To outline each:
For point Number 1
When government raises enough tax, it doesn’t need to borrow recklessly. And if it doesn't borrow, No pumping money into the economy, meaning prices of commodities will not raise and in simple answer, No inflation or presence of minimal healthy inflation. So yes. Efficient Taxation reduces inflation. Keyword here is "Efficient Taxation".
For point Number 2.
A healthy vibrant economy don't need FPI to stabilize FX, rather what the economy needs is FDI to create jobs and multiplier effects in economy hence that in itself will boost the economy, reduce inflation and strengthen the currency. So in all, at this momentum, do you expect the current tbill rate to go up or drop before the January tax implementation? |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by kristien4(m): 7:45pm On Aug 29, 2025 |
ask4bk: The answer is that it can. Once you parallel batteries, the amps drawn are shared among them. If he draws 300a and both have 150a bms, it'll work well safely if the battery manufacturer confirms that cells can discharge at 1C.
As you rightly questioned, he'll wires that can safely carry each 150a (35mm). And if he plans to use combiner busbar, it must be rated 300a, and cable from busbar to inverter must be rated for 300a (95mm) and then inverter must be rated to take in 300a, most of these being unlikely 🙆🏾♂️🙆🏾♂️🙆🏾♂️🙆🏾♂️.
But yes it can. Thanks for the explanation, i get it now. |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by kristien4(m): 7:38pm On Aug 29, 2025 |
mctfopt: It'd theoretically double.
What exactly are you powering to want to do this?
My battery maximum draw is 200A. Don't think I've ever drawn more than 70A from it Though i don't intend to draw up to that. I have 4 batteries in parallel, just want to know what is theoretically possible just incase. |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by kristien4(m): 6:31pm On Aug 29, 2025 |
mctfopt: No, you won't as you cant draw more than 150A from the BMS.
Two batteries in parallel is still 12.8v nominal. So in this case you can't get to draw more than 150A, but your backup hours for load under 150A draw will surely double. Okay, pls clear my confusion. I have one 100a 51.2v lithium battery max discharge at 100a. Meaning highest i can draw is 5120w. So if i add more 3 batteries to my initial setup, making it 4 batteries in parallel, does the max draw still stay at 5120watts? |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by kristien4(m): 12:32pm On Aug 29, 2025 |
mctfopt: No, you can't do that.
The highest current the BMS can handle is 150A.
This is a 12.8v nominal battery.
12.8 X 150 = 1920 watts.
You can only draw more than 1920w if this battery allows connection in series. Eg you can draw twice that wattage ie 12.8x2 = 25.6v. Multiply by 150A will give you 3840 watts.
This is the reason most people run bigger loads at higher inverter system voltage ie 48v and above.
In industrial system we have Deye that can run up to 800v battery.and above. At that level even with a 100A BMS that's an incredible amount of power. What if 2 batteries are connected in parallel. Can you still get double the output i.e 3840watts |

I was also thinking of settling for the 5kwh 48v lvtopsun lithium battery, but i dont know if the lvtopsun inverter is good which i was going to settle for the 5kwh 48v because its around the same price with the growatt 3.6kwh 48v, or if it is advisable to settle for the growatt 3.6kva 48v, but any professional input from the group is welcome.
And please how many panels of around 550 watts will be right for the setup? From where did you get Deye 5kwh for 1.1m when fouani still sells for 1.3m |

Elizkid: It used it be like that here too until lithium batteries with harvested cells (Grade B) started flooding the market.
Lithium batteries with grade A are still dang expensive, albeit a little more affordable now.
Grade B batteries will serve you almost as good as Grade A, since it's for home energy storage. They don't need to deliver high humongous current as they with heavy machineries in companies where they were previously used. Are Deye lithium batteries Grade A? |
