From my little understanding after I spoke with him two days ago, the guy mind is made up of paying the 2.8 and get ownership of the car. He kept emphasis that the car has never given him any major problem . Aside from the steering that has been change due to the carelessness of the partner( partner damaged it on driver of day)

Partner did not allow the driver to take car yesterday. Driver said since they have agreed on 2.8 settlement. Why then should he still continue paying 40k weekly. Lol. Driver come dey para .
At this point I don't know what to even tell him. You all know how bank delays sure process. It may take two months .
Left for me , I will overlook my previous payment and search for new car to drive pending when the bank will approve my loan then I can now get my own car with the loan .
One thing is certain, that partner will still wait to collect 2.8M even if it takes the bank the months to approve the loan.
I heard the bank wants to pay directly into the partner account. The driver had even filled all necessary documents.

They day that car Will give him issue is coming, because these hustle is a car wrecker . I just hope he have the money to fix the car when the need arises or the man no go waste time to retrieve his car. No be force to drive Corolla, he should continue using the car, when he gets the loan, he should get a tokunbo Civic and rest. Or he can give out the Civic on rental and continue to use the Corolla gradually till he completes his payment. My take.

Got my hands dirty this morning trying to resolve this issue once and for all.

Happens there is a leak no doubt however, it isn't a HOIST leak but a rusted water pipe leak.

Please, what's the best adhesive to use on a rusted pipe? I am thinking super glue. The 4min gum I have seems like it won't hold, from past experience using it.

B4 oil burn.. 7500km (depends on usuage)
When oil burn started... hardly gets to 5000km (I may top up or completely change oil).

But the best approach is to be checking ur oil dipstick.

Even the car manual stated that u top up after every 1000km. (Confusing Toyota company)

It didn't reduce, just that why wasting money buying expensive oil, 5w30( 4L and 1L to top up intermittently).

Toyota and oil burn is like 5 and 6, one more thing boss, I have seen some with the 1ZZ-FE,
are there engine as durable as the 2zz-fe?

It is a strong car ( as far as u are top notch in maintenance).
Aesthetics.... Very poor. It peels or expires ( ) on its own. My own dashboard (d top), I had to scrap everything off and use a good leather with a strong gum to replace it.

Engine oil consumption is common (2ZR-FE), guess factory defect. I was using 5w30 initially,Just be observant and top up. I didn't bother with factory recommended oil again when I noticed the oil consumption
No smoking of oil.

Watch out for oil seals, especially crankshaft oil seal.
Very common to go bad.
Mine was the first model(2008), South Africa, bought 2008 and sold 2021, manual transmission.

A/C: factory spec auto compressor) always goes bad, had to opt for manual compressor and I was lucky after some fails to get the one that served well.


I never for once, opened the engine. I sold it due to age (0km - 244***km) and being manual. E don try for my hand and Nigerian roads too.

Discovered it consumes about 40% more fuel than the 2005 Corolla Sport.

If Corolla uses 5k fuel, that E350 will use 6.7k fuel.. (based on manufacturer's info that the Benz E350 6Cyl 7 speed Auto has 17mpg city and Corolla 4Cyl 4 speed Auto has 26 mpg City)..

And that's assuming there's no traffic.

It looks minimal but on continuous accumulation, it's a lot.

Oga you want to use Mercedes E350 for bolt, SMH. Apart from the car been a fuel guzzler, I hope you know the maintenance cost of that car is not friendly at all. Look for car which engine capacity ranges from 1.6 to 2.0. Leave that Benz alone.

My own opinion... Buy C230k
C230 without a compressor is a 2.5L V6 engine. It's a fuel guzzler. But if you go for C230k that one has the 1.8L inline V4. I advise you to go for the C230k over C200 and C180 because it's the last set of W203s that has a Kompressor (super charger) it has refreshed interiors and better alloys. Anything apart from that, it's the same as the C180 and C200.

C180s and C200s were made from 2001 to 2004 while C230Ks were made between 2004/2005 to 2006...

They cost almost the same price...

No pension, no leave, no retirement benfit when you eventually stop driving or don't have strength to drive any more, no assistance to pay hospital bills when driver falls sick or get involve in an accident, no leave neither sick leave allowances, no promotion, old driver with over 7k trips completed with more than 4yrs full time driving paying atleast 15k weekly as bonus is in the same rank as a driver that just joined last week.

C230, has V6 and 4Cyl but the 4cyl is scare but more features like heater on driver's seat, sunlight open roof et el...

I think the C230 production yr is from 2004 to 2005/06 while C200 from 2003 to 2005 while C180 from 2000 to 2003.

They've generation, like my own is called W203, meaning 03 generation then they also have engine category and my is M271, black top. But a friend's W203, same C200 has M111 engine red top. Many Benz specialist call it the bullet proof.
