4 THINGS GOD SHOULD HAVE GIVEN ME You bless us when we pray to You, don’t You? In church, we’re taught to clasp our hands tightly, shut our eyes, bow our heads and pray earnestly for whatever we want. I think I score brownie points for attending Sunday service regularly and serving in different ministries—you know, music, children, and youth ministry. Your Word instructs us to “. . . present your requests to God” (Philippians 4:6) and “. . . he will give you the desires of your heart” (Psalm 37:4). Now that’s a promise written in the Bible. Oh, in fact, You promised again in Matthew 6:33 that “ . . . and all these things will be given to you as well.” Since You so kindly offered and promised, here are four things I want. I’m not sure why You had denied me of them for the past 20 years, but it’s not too late to give them to me now. Like, right now. 1. Talent in Music You seem to have forgotten about this when You created me. While You gave my friends the gift of perfect pitch and the enviable skills of playing multiple instruments, I was stuck with the amazing ability of not being able to differentiate between different notes.......... http://scripturalz..co.ke/2017/08/4-things-god-should-have-given-me.html?m=1 |
The Unmerited Favor of God By Billy Graham • August 11 • Topics: Grace For by grace are ye saved . . . —Ephesians 2:8 “Grace,” according to the dictionary, is the unmerited favor of God toward mankind. The word “grace” is used over 170 times in the New Testament alone. Grace is not bought. It is a free gift of almighty God to needy mankind. When I picture Jesus Christ dying on the cross, I see the free gift of God’s grace in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself. I sing with the songwriter, “Amazing grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost, but now am found, was blind, but now I see.” Your human mind, with its philosophy of an equal return for favors done, can hardly comprehend the full meaning of this grace of God. But when you catch, by the inspiration of God, its full meaning, you will leave the limits of human reasoning and revel in the spiritual riches of divine truth and privilege. Yes, the grace of God is a reality. Thousands have tried, tested, and proved that it is more than a cold creed, a docile doctrine, or a tedious theory. The grace of God has been tested in the crucible of human experience, and has been found to be more than an equal for the problems and sins of humanity. Lord, this day help me to come to a more full and abundant awareness of Your bountiful grace. Stimulate me to serve You. |
INCUBATION TODAY (BRO EMMA OKORIE) THURSDAY 10TH AUGUST, 2017 TOPIC: STAND FIRM IN FAITH Meditation: “And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, Go again seven times.” (1 Kings 18:43) Today’s Text: 1 Kings 18:42-44 Faith is from a Greek word which means to agonise. Paul saw the Christian life as a fight, an intense struggle requiring perseverance in loyalty to the Lord Jesus Christ. God calls every believer to stand firm in the faith, letting nothing move us. Faith is a spiritual ammunition and we are meant to fight and win issues based on the word of God. Irrespective of symptoms or facts on the ground we need to go on doggedly with whatever God has asked us to do for faith is a servant of vision. God never promised and failed to bring it to pass. All we need is to stand our grounds, believe Him, pray and He will accomplish it. The prophets and patriarchs of old fought the fight of faith. It was faith at work when Elijah prayed for rain the first time and persistently thereafter. How many times did your business yield nothing, your health gone down and everything seem not to be working? Did you pack and go to sleep or did you like Elijah say “go again seven times?” You can’t always get it the first time. The servant of Elijah kept going back again and again. How do you follow a leader in a tough terrain? How long will He speak and you will go on trusting him? To follow and lead at such times is often difficult. The follower may think he has a better idea. The leader must have faith but the faith of the follower is equally as important. Faith has to be sustained by anointing and the vision of what God wants done. As we mature in ministry, our experiences become diverse in different situations. In faith fights, one plus one does not always amount to two. When push comes to shove, don’t throw away your bible and quit. It takes extra effort of faith to follow. It takes this attitude that God cannot lie. Instead of backing down, God expects us to be steadfast and immovable. Esther, Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, Daniel, David and Joseph did not back down when their lives were on the line. My message is to go back again to faith. If anyone tells you that going back is unbelief, ignore him. Prayers: 1. Ask God for the stamina to fight like the heroes of faith. 2. Pray for the grace to resist all distractions to faith. Confession: Dear Lord, I choose to stand on faith no matter what people or circumstances say. Help me to trust till the end in Jesus name, Amen. Further Study: Hebrews 11:6 "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Romans 4:20 "He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God.” Exodus 14:13 “And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.” James 1:6-8 "But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” 2 Chronicles 20:17 “Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.” |

INCUBATION TODAY (BRO EMMA OKORIE) WEDNESDAY 9TH AUGUST, 2017 TOPIC: IF GOD BE FOR YOU, NONE CAN BE AGAINST YOU Meditation: “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” (Romans 8:31-32) Today’s Text: Romans 8:31-32 As Joshua and the children of Israel fought the confederacy that came against Gibeon, the covenant partners of Israel, the Lord discomfited the enemies by casting down great hailstones from heaven and more died from the onslaught of stones than through the sword of Israel. Joshua commanded the sun and the moon to stand still until the people of God were victorious. Many more instances abound in the bible where God fought on behalf of His children. Today, as children of God, we have better promises because Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, is in us. Rather than consciousness of sin, weaknesses, failure, sicknesses and afflictions, we can begin to be transformed in our mindset to become conscious of the presence of God. Whatever Jesus accomplished was because of the presence of the Holy Spirit in Him. That same spirit was what He promised believers and gave them at Pentecost when He ascended into heaven. Today we are temples of the Holy Ghost, His dwelling places, on account of His indwelling presence. Who can be against you? Though they may gather against you, they will fall for your sake. This is because Christ in you is the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). The Holy Ghost that is inside has a transforming presence. He transforms not only in power but also in character. We shall receive power not only to heal the sick and raise the dead but to live a godly life. We have been empowered to live above sin and to resist the devil and make him flee. The man on the street who has not received this baptism cannot resist the devil. The believer has a right to deal with every situation that is contrary. Brethren, it does not matter how low you may have fallen, God is living inside of you. Romans: 8:11 says “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” Prayers: 1. Appreciate the abiding presence of God in prayer. 2. Pray that no matter what, you will always have the assurance of victory on account of the power of the indwelling spirit. Confession: Lord, in you I live, move and have my being. Further Study: Psalms 23:4 “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” Psalms 27:3 "Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.” Psalms 46:5 "God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early. Psalms 91:2 "I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.” Isaiah 12:2 "Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.” more daily devotions @ http://scripturalz..com |
MASTURBATING HAS ETERNAL PUNISHMENT Somebody sent: I have a question to ask Is masturbation really a sin? "Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are." 1 Cor 3:16-17 masturbation is a sexual act, there is a strong urge in it that must be satisfied by the sinner man whether he like it or not, he cant stop it, he cant control it once the urge rises he runs away to a private place to defile and destroy himself, the temple of God,.. continue reading at http://scripturalz..com |
Can The Bible Be Trusted? Billy Graham explains Question: How do you know the Bible is true? People living many centuries ago thought it was true, but we live in a scientific age, and we know a lot more about the world than they did. Answer: I’m grateful for every discovery scientists have made; many reading this column probably wouldn’t be alive, nor would I, if it weren’t for the remarkable advances made by medical science over the last few centuries. But these discoveries have only strengthened my confidence in the Bible! For one thing, every scientific discovery confirms the Bible’s statement that behind this incredibly complex creation is a Creator—God. Not every scientist believes in God, I know—but I’ve met many who do, and without exception they have told me how their discoveries have strengthened their faith in God. The Bible says, “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands” (Psalm 19:1). These discoveries have strengthened my confidence in the Bible for another reason: They show that science alone can never answer life’s most basic questions. Where did we come from? Why are we here? Where are we going when we die? How should we live? Only the Bible answers these questions, because it tells us about God and His plan for our lives. The main reason I know the Bible is true, however, is because it points us to Jesus Christ. He was God in human flesh, sent from Heaven to give us hope. This is why I invite you to make the greatest discovery you could ever make, by investigating with an open heart and mind what the Bible says about Jesus for yourself. Don’t let doubt, or pride, or anything else keep you from putting your faith and trust in Him. more at http://scripturalz..com |

REFOCUSING ON JESUS AUGUST 08, 2017 John 15:4-6 Today’s passage urges us to stay connected to Jesus. The image of Him as the vine and believers as the branches helps us understand that apart from Him, we can do nothing. It is possible to receive His salvation yet still act out of the flesh, distracted or separated from His direction and power. All believers find their focus wandering at times, but some have strayed so far that it’s hard to see their way back. If you discover your heart is loyal to something besides Christ, it’s vital to acknowledge that this has happened. Identify which attitudes or activities are drawing you away from Him. Then repent and get whatever help is necessary to set aside diversions, insecurity, worldly desires, or anything else that draws your attention away from the Lord. Once the distraction is gone, refocus on Jesus by reading the Word, praying, learning from biblical messages, and spending time with godly friends who will encourage you. After living outside of God’s best for a while, it can be hard to discipline yourself to function as the Lord desires. But remember that those who abide in God will bear much fruit ( John 15:5). Don’t delay. As Hebrews 12:1 urges, “lay aside every encumbrance” so you can run with endurance the race set before you. Acknowledge anything that is keeping you from living passionately and fully for Jesus Christ. Following His plan— in His strength—is the way to peace, joy, and contentment in life. Ask for His help and commit to action. There is nothing like living fully for God. Bible in One Year: Jeremiah 1-3 More daily devotions @ http://scripturalz..com |
TURN FROM SIN - August 07 John 11:5 "Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus." It is interesting to note that special mention is made of Jesus loving Martha. This is after the incident recorded in Luke 10:38-42 where Martha is caught up with serving instead of worshipping Jesus and her priorities are still not in order. Jesus was not rebuking Martha but rather exhorting her for her own profit. When the Lord deals with problem areas in our lives, it is always for our profit - not punishment and we should not take it as rejection. This is one way to discern God's correction from the devil's condemnation. God convicts us of sin but He doesn't condemn us. Conviction is solely for our profit with no malice while condemnation includes punishment. Satan is the one who condemns the Christian, but the Holy Spirit has given us the power to escape that condemnation. The way the Lord convicts a believer is through the inner ministry of the Holy Spirit. This is always done in a positive manner that encourages us to turn from sin rather than the negative way of condemning us for having committed the sin. A Christian who still walks in condemnation is being condemned by the devil or is condemning himself. Only those who are living in the power of the Holy Spirit escape condemnation. Compare this to the law of gravity. Gravity is a law that never quits exerting its power, but it can be overcome. Through the laws of aerodynamics man can actually fly and send space ships beyond Earth's gravity. But it takes power to do this. If the power is shut off, the law of gravity is still at work and will cause the vehicle to fall. Likewise, the law of sin and death still exists. If a Christian shuts off the power of the Spirit of life and begins to walk in the power of his own flesh, Satan will use this law of sin and death to condemn him and ensure he crashes. It's not God who condemns us. more daily devotions at http://scripturalz..com |

Be An Example by Joyce Meyer - posted August 05, 2017 But now I write to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of [Christian] brother if he is known to be guilty of immorality or greed, or is an idolater [whose soul is devoted to any object that usurps the place of God], or is a person with a foul tongue [railing, abusing, reviling, slandering], or is a drunkard or a swindler or a robber. [No] you must not so much as eat with such a person. - 1 Corinthians 5:11 The apostle Paul told the Corinthians not to associate with a believer who had a foul tongue, which included gossiping and criticizing. In order to be a good example to people who are sinning, you must be careful not to do the negative things they do or to say the hurtful things they say. You don't want to give the impression that you think you are better than they are, but you must lovingly, humbly, and gently decline to be involved in conversation and in other behaviors you know are displeasing to God. Don't be passive and let other people infect you with their bad attitudes and evil conversation, but instead make a decision to be a good influence on them. Power Thought: I will not gossip, criticize, or spread rumors about others. more daily devotions @ http://scripturalz..com |

CHRIST APOSTOLIC CHURCH YOUTH FELLOWSHIP (CACYOF) LASPOTECH CHAPTER A.K.A. THE ROYAL AMBASSADOR. SINGLES’ FORUM TOPIC: SEX Text: I Corinthians 6 vs 18-20. INTRODUCTION Sex has been one of the greatest biological gifts of God, given to man that has been abused, misuse and through which man has become offensive to God. According to Advanced Learner’s dictionary, 9th edition, “Sex is the physical activity between two people in which they touch each other sequel organs which may result to SEXUAL INTERCOURSE. Sexual feelings are exciting and because they are, it is easy to get carried away. Sexual activities can start from holding of hands, hugging, handling and kissing which can lead to Sexual Intercourse. Sexual activities can also be things you do by yourself like masturbating or pleasuring yourself sexually. NOTE: When the importance of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable. MISCONCEPTION ABOUT SEX 》》 God can never create good thing and ask man to use it in an abnormal way. SEX IS BAD: Some have termed sex as a “ No Go Area” because of their high level of holiness, religious belief and church doctrines. SEX IS OF THE DEVIL: Some give devil credit for sex. This is also because of the abuse of sex, however, it should be noted that sex did not originate from the devil. SEX IS LOVE: Some young people have concluded that sex is the only way one can show or prove love to each other. This is a lie from a pit of hell, that is why many exchange the word “SEX” with “LOVE”. You hear people say “we made love”. Sex is not love and love is not sex. FACTS ABOUT SEX.》》 SEX IS GOOD: (Genesis 1:31) God made sex for the purpose of procreation and communion in marriage. SEX IS NOT OF THE DEVIL, SEX IS OF GOD: (Genesis 2:21-25) God created sex, God is the originator of sex, but it is for those who are married alone. (Hebrews 13:4). SEX IS NOT LOVE: If sex is love, then the world should be a better place. Do you know how many people have slept together? The truth is that you can have sex with someone you don't love and you will end up hating the person the more, if it is done outside God's will (I Corinthians 13:8-13). EFFECTS OF PRE-MARITAL SEX • Departure Of God's Presence (Judges 16:20). • Spiritual Pitfalls (Romans 12:1). • Lost Of Glory (Genesis 49:3, II Samuel 13:28). • Integrity Damages (Judges 16:20) • Academic Setback • Dignity Destruction • Exchange Of Curses & Problems. CONCLUSION ▶▶ Sex is a covenant that brings about sharing each other's problems, curses etc and it is more than pleasure. It is a covenant transacted by the spilling of blood and mixture of sacred liquids. QUESTION OR INTERACTIVE SECTION. ▶▶ A Christian brother and sister agreed to get married after confirmation from God. The date of their holy matrimony has also been fixed, but few days to wedding the brother demanded for sex. What should the sister do? more at http://scripturalz..com Lalasticlala |

Don’t Waste Your Season of Loneliness BY RICK WARREN — AUGUST 3, 2017 “When you come, be sure to bring the coat I left with Carpus at Troas. Also bring my books, and especially my papers” (2 Timothy 4:13 NLT). What should you do when you go through a season of loneliness? The answer is illustrated in the life of Paul in 2 Timothy 4, when he was in prison and awaiting his execution. When you go through a season of loneliness, you need to make the most of your time. That means make the best of a bad situation. Resist the temptation to do nothing. Take some action — any kind of action. Try to think of creative ways to take advantage of the seasons in which you are alone. Paul wrote to Timothy from prison and told him, “When you come, be sure to bring the coat I left with Carpus at Troas. Also bring my books, and especially my papers” (2 Timothy 4:13 NLT). In a season of loneliness, you need to be comfortable and productive. Even though he was lonely, Paul didn’t throw a pity party. He didn’t complain or give up. This is Paul, one of the greatest Christian who ever lived after Jesus himself, who won countless people to Christ, and who is completely alone in his final days. What does he do? He makes the best of the situation. He utilizes his time. He says two things: 1. “Bring my coat.” Those Roman prisons were damp, dark, and cold. He did the best he could to take care of himself. It is true of human nature that when we are lonely and depressed, we don’t take very good care of ourselves — physically or any other way. We don’t exercise. We don’t rest well. We don’t eat right. Paul did the best he could to take care of himself. Some of you need to hear this today, because you’re not taking very good care of yourself because you're lonely. 2. “Bring my books.” Paul was a people person. He didn’t like to be alone; it wasn’t the way God wired him. Being in solitary confinement in a Roman prison was the opposite of where he wanted to be. Yet he did the best he could. He wrote letters that today are compiled in the New Testament. Maybe the only way God could slow him down was to put him in solitary confinement. Two thousand years later, we are still benefiting from Paul’s loneliness. more daily devotions @ http://scripuralz..com |
INCUBATION TODAY (BRO EMMA OKORIE) THURSDAY 3RD AUGUST, 2017 TOPIC: STEP UP YOUR CONSECRATION Meditation: “And when they came to Nachon’s threshingfloor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it. And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God.” (2 Samuel 6:6-7) Today’s Text: 2 Samuel 6:1-23 After Uzzah died, David abandoned the ark of the Lord in the house of Obededom out of fear. Being a man who treasured the presence of God, Obededom took up the challenge and housed it after others abandoned it in fright. Obededom and his household were disciplined and behaved aright while the ark of the Lord was in their home. Within three months, the glory of the Lord filled their home and blessed his family. Are you not waiting upon the Lord to bless all that has to do with your life? Obededom got it just by cultivating the presence of God. He was consecrated and had a heart for God. No sinner can stay in the presence of God because He is of purer eyes than to behold iniquity. Sin is a reason to kneel down to pray but weaken and quit. We go to church to hear the word of God but lack the inner strength to put what we hear into action because of sin. Sin destroys the people of God and renders their prayers useless. Were Obededom a sinner, the presence of the ark would have destroyed his family as it destroyed Uzzah. Can the ark that killed Uzzah for irreverence abide in your home? How much do you reverence and honour God? When last did you have a quiet time gazing at the face of the Master? When last did you conduct your family altar leading your family to the presence of God? Is your family a regular scene for violence, quarrels, bickering and indecency? Are your children running riot like those of Eli? This doesn’t sound like the home of Obededom that thrived in the presence of God. Step up your consecration. Fear God and live an exemplary life and your household will learn through godly examples. Can you and your household abide God’s visitation? Prayers: Pray for regular consecrationAsk the Lord to set you apart for His work Confession: I consecrate myself today to serve God. I make myself fit for the visitation of His presence. Further Study: Romans 12:1-2 "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Leviticus 20:26 “And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.” Isaiah 52:11 "Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the LORD.” 2 Timothy 2:20-21 "But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.” more daily devotions @ http://scripturalz..com |

The Professor’s Confession August 2, 2017 Read: 1 John 3:11–18 Bible in a Year: Psalms 60–62; Romans 5 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. 1 John 3:16 Horrified by his students’ poor writing habits, renowned author and college professor David Foster Wallace considered how he might improve their skills. That’s when a startling question confronted him. The professor had to ask himself why a student would listen to someone “as smug, narrow, self-righteous, [and] condescending” as he was. He knew he had a problem with pride. That professor could and did change, but he could never become one of his students. Yet when Jesus came to Earth, He showed us what humility looks like by becoming one of us. Stepping across all kinds of boundaries, Jesus made Himself at home everywhere by serving, teaching, and doing the will of His Father. Jesus loved us by serving. Even as He was being crucified, Jesus prayed for forgiveness for His executioners (Luke 23:34). Straining for every anguished breath, He still granted eternal life to a criminal dying with Him (vv. 42–43). Why would Jesus do that? Why would He serve people like us to the very end? The apostle John gets to the point. Out of love! He writes, “This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us.” Then he drives that point home. “And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters” (1 John 3:16). Jesus showed us that His love eradicates our pride, our smugness, our condescension. And He did it in the most powerful way possible. He gave His life. Father, we are so prone to look down on each other. Please forgive us. Give us the heart of love Your Son showed to us. more daily devotions @ http://scripturalz..com |
Bible Study Topic: OBEDIENCE - KEY TO PROSPERITY. Text: Deuteronomy 28:1-end. Memory Verse: And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require from thee, but to fear the Lord, to walk the commandment of the Lord, and His statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good? (Deut. 10:12-13). Introduction. From the text, Deut. 28:1-2, the word “IF” is a conditional word. The covenantal blessings of God for His people are based on the condition of OBEDIENCE. In the Garden of Eden, God gave man the condition for his continued stay in the garden. In the same vein, as God gradually led Israel to possess the Promised Land, He didn't hesitate to highlight the conditions for their continued possession of the land. God commands us to fully obey Him, not turning aside from any of His commands. God expects total, not selective obedience. WHAT IS OBEDIENCE? Obedience simply means total compliance to a command or order. WHAT IS KEY? It is an opener or an object designed for locking and unlocking. WHAT IS PROSPERITY? It is a state of being prosperous or a state of being successful, flourishing, or thriving condition, especially in financial aspect; and having good fortune. Prosperity and financial breakthrough are not only the product of prayer but also products of obedience to God. SOME OF THE COMMANDS OF GOD ON PROSPERITY ♣ Meditating on God’s word. Joshua 1:8 ♣ Praying to God for positive turn around. Matthew 7:11, Jeremiah 29:11-14. ♣ Putting God first. Deuteronomy 8:18. ♣ Offering. II Corinthians 9:7. ♣ Contribution to the growth of God’s work. Haggai 1:8-9. ♣ Paying tithe: Tithe is a portion that belongs to God from your income. It is the 10% of one’s income. The issue of tithe is a command from God that must be obeyed and followed for properity to come our way (Malachi 3:10). ♣ Giving. Matthew 25:34-46, Deuteronomy 15:100, Luke 6:38, Proverbs 19:17. This is another crucial part that brings prosperity from God to man. God cannot be seen physically, but His representatives are all round us. BENEFITS OF OBEDIENCE ★Divine security. Deuteronomy 28:7-8. ★ Abundant all-round prosperity and continued stay in the Promised Land. Deuteronomy 28:8-12. ★ Headship in all things. Deuteronomy 28:13. ★ Immeasurable blessings. Malachi 3:12. ★ Divine breakthrough and God's support. Malachi 3:11. CONSEQUENCE OF DISOBEDIENCE. ☆ Departure of God’s presence. I Samuel 13:1-14. ☆ Personal disaster. Deuteronomy 28:16-22, 27-35. ☆ Ecological disaster. Deuteronomy 28:23-24. ☆ Shameful defeat. Deuteronomy 28:25-26. ☆Being kicked out of the Promised Land. Deuteronomy 28:36-38. ☆ Captivity. Deuteronomy 28:41. ☆ Sickness. Deuteronomy 28:28. ☆ Lack. Deuteronomy 15:11. CONCLUSION The blessings of God on obedience are immeasurable. Choose to be obedient to God's commands. QUESTION (INTERACTIVE SECTION) Why is it that the modern man, both in the church and the world, still find it easier to disobey God's instruction, despite that the consequence of these are clearly spelt in both the scriptures and the nature? From Faith to Faith—Daily Devotional {01-08-2017} Receive Your Miracle By Gloria Copeland For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Romans 10:10 Do you need a miracle? Then believe it, confess it and receive it! "Oh Gloria, I just don't know if I can do that." Yes, you can! You've already done it once. When you made Jesus the Lord of your life, you believed, confessed and received the greatest miracle in the universe, the miracle of a reborn spirit! Every other miracle you receive will come in exactly the same way. You start by simply believing what God's Word says concerning your area of need, by letting that Word change your heart and mind. A lot of people try to skip that step. They try to believe for a miracle without spending enough time in the Word to change their hearts and minds. They just want to confess it with their mouths and have it instantly appear. But that won't happen. It's what we believe in our hearts and say with our mouths that we receive. If you don't have enough faith yet to believe for the miracle you need, then you can get it. "Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17). So start filling the ears of your heart with the Word until faith for your miracle is born. That's what the woman did who had the issue of blood. She believed in her heart that Jesus would heal her. Then she spoke her faith out loud. Then she acted on that faith--and she received her miracle. It wasn't Jesus' decision. He didn't suddenly say, "You know, I think I'll work a miracle for that little lady today." No. She made it happen. She took her faith and drew on the power of God. That's why Jesus said, "Daughter, your faith has made you whole" (Matthew 9:22). You have that same opportunity. God's power is always present everywhere. Your faith will bring it into your life, body or circumstances. So reach out to Jesus. Believe, confess and receive your miracle today. Our daily bread {31-07-2017} A “New Man” July 31, 2017 Read: Colossians 1:3–14 | Bible in a Year: Psalms 54–56; Romans 3 Continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. Colossians 1:23 As a group of teenagers visited a home for the elderly in Montego Bay, Jamaica, one young woman noticed a lonely looking man at the end of the room. He appeared to have little left in this world but a bed to sleep on—a bed from which he could not move because of his disability. The teen began right away to share the story of God’s love for us and read some Bible passages to him. “As I shared with him,” she would say later, “I started to feel his eagerness to hear more.” Responding to his interest, she explained the wonder of Jesus’s sacrificial death for us. “It was hard for this man, who had no hope and no family,” she recalled, “to understand that Someone he’s never met would love him enough to die on the cross for his sins.” Lord, thank You for the new life we have in Jesus Christ. She told him more about Jesus—and then about the promise of heaven (including a new body) for all who believe. He asked her, “Will you dance with me up there?” She saw him begin to imagine himself free of his worn-out body and crippling limitations. When he said he wanted to trust Jesus as his Savior, she helped him pray a prayer of forgiveness and faith. When she asked him if she could get a picture with him, he replied, “If you help me sit up. I’m a new man.” Praise God for the life-changing, hope-giving, available-to-all gospel of Jesus Christ! It offers new life for all who trust Him (Col. 1:5, 23). Lord, thank You for the new life we have in Jesus Christ. Help us to share the hope of that new life with others so they can be made new as well. Jesus offers new life. http://scripturalz..co.ke/?m=1 |

LIVING WATER - CAC DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE Monday, July 31, 2017 STRENGTH THROUGH ADVERSITY Read: 1 Peter 5:6-10 MEMORISE: But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. (1 Peter 5:10) No one enjoys going through a difficult time, yet, there is hardly a life that is completely free of troubles. This is due to the fact that we live in a fallen world, where nothing is perfect in itself. Some of the challenges we experience are not due to our own faults. Apostle Peter encouraged the believers of his days in their own adverse conditions. The imperial persecution subjected them to severe experiences, to the extent that some were giving up on their commitment to Jesus Christ. For those early Christians, it was persecution that threatened their faith; for us today, it may not be persecution, but poverty, seeming failures, inability to sustain relationship, deteriorating health condition have devastating effects. Peter's words are still echoing loudly, that the best approach in any adverse condition is steadfastness in faith. He explains the reasons in terms of what God can do in the face of adversity (1 Peter 5:10). The word, 'Perfect' implies the repair which God Himself will do in light of the damages that adversities have caused to His people. God's ability to establish in adversity denotes God's support in the sense of fixing something, so that it stands upright and immovable. He strengthens us in adversity by generating firm inward conviction, which is not moved by external factors. Finally, God is able to settle His people through adversity by providing basis upon which we would stand and not be moved in resisting the devil. Humanity suffers for a while, on the one hand, and God calls to eternal glory in Christ, on the other hand. So, in whatever adversity you are, look to God, cling to Him, rely on Him for strength and hope in Him for all-round settlement. He is able (Psalms 34:5). PRAYER POINTS 1. Lord, I need your support at all time in whatever occasion, most especially, in times of adversity. 2. Lord, give me the confidence to withstand every ungodly pressure, in the period of my adversity. 3. Pray for our brethren going through persecution, all over the world. EXTRA READING FOR TODAY: Numbers 5-7 Good morning and happy new week. The anointing to excel will fall on us, in Jesus name Amen. The coming of Jesus is nearer than before.
