ITS PPR FOR ME!!!!!

My husband originally applied May 10th for his study permit trv and got his ppr on the 7th of June.

Without paying school fees, we proceeded to do upfront medicals and submitted my sowp application June 22nd. Timeline is as follows:

Upfront medicals
SOWP Application: June 22nd
Biometrics: June 24th
Medicals passed: August 14th
Eligibility and PPR: August 22nd.

To the glory of God. God did it for my husband and I.

Sorry, processing times for work permit has been very slow, though some people have said that IRCC is deliberately slowing down approvals for work permit requests. Just be hopeful.

And Visa rejection is always fast and within processing time

Hello guys, I observed something about Canada applications, I noticed that if an application is to be denied, the decision will be made within the processing time and if it will be approved it will take long time and exceed the normal processing time especially SOWP and Work permit. Do anyone else noticed this trend? @bobomaigida @sunwintrav please what's your take

My Timeline for Closed Work Permit

1. Applied for the job on 6th February 2024

2. Interviewed for the job on 12th February 2024

3. Offered the job on 22nd February 2024

4. The company submitted an LMIA application for me on 15th March 2024

5. A positive LMIA approval received on 7th June 2024.

6. Work permit application submitted on my behalf by the company/immigration consultant on 16th July 2024.
* Awaiting the Work permit approval (decision)

It depends. It could be earlier or longer than the official processing time. Average processing time is often 10-12 weeks.

Is it possible for IRCC to wait for 3 to 4 months before giving someone a refusal?

[There were two mistake from the visa officer.
1. That applicant was applying for study permit and didn't show the funds required for studying.

And this was incorrect. It was purely work permit.

2. Applicant didn't explain lump sum.

It was incorrect. Explainedlump sum through Gift Deed documents.

We saw these reasons in the GCMS notes. The generic reason was a bit different and didn't tell us the reasons except that applicant didn't have the funds required to get the visa she applied for. The GCMS note revealed things to us.]

Oh ok thanks, please how long does it take for the person to get decision from IRCC I mean the duration between the day of submission and the date of refusal?

Can one submit a fresh visit visa or open work permit after a previous work permit was refused and is under reconsideration request. Made a reconsideration request some time ago but waiting for outcome.

So I want to know if one can make a new application while waiting for outcome of reconsideration.

The aspect of Pof, when I submitted mine , the immigration lawyer said that the Pof only strengthens my application. Do I submitted Pof of about 3500 cad with my application which was also my salary account in Nigeria so that my previous work experience can align too, although this is not compulsory

I've submitted my application since February and no response yet from here.

After a positive LMIA is issued, a temporary foreign worker has six months to use it to apply for a work permit. No extensions will be given. If the six-month period expires and the foreign worker does not submit a work permit application, a new LMIA application is required.
