Report has it that during Shatta Wale’s performance, a fan

It was getting dark around 7pm i have to find a place to
stay over night and I just arrived in the city, have been
trying to call my friend who invited for a party at a place
very far from where I lived, I became very disturbed about
where am going to spend the night since my friend number
is not going through and am a stranger in the city. Hmmm

Manager Arsene Wenger says forward Alexis Sanchez and
midfielder Mesut Ozil will be at Arsenal after the January
transfer window "unless something unbelievable happens".
The contracts of both players expire at the end of the

The whistle-blower, Abdulmunmini Musa, who reportedly
provided the information leading to the seizure of $43m,
N23.2m and £27,800 (N13bn) from an apartment in Ikoyi,
Lagos state , » has sued the Economic and Financial Crimes
Commission (EFCC). Also joined in the suit filed at the
Federal High Court, Abuja, are the Federal Ministry of
Finance, and the Attorney General of the Federation and
Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami (SAN). According
to reports, Musa had earlier rejected the N325million »
offered to him by the Federal Government, insisting on his
five percent commission of N860m. Whistle blower policy
The Federal Government had promised to pay anyone who
provides information that leads to the recovery of over
N1b, will get a commission of five percent.
According to Prof. Bolaji Owasanoye, the Secretary of the
Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption, who
was part of the team that drafted the whistle-blower policy,
“If you blow the whistle and the government recovers cash,
you are entitled to between 2.5 per cent and five per cent.
The maximum limit is five per cent. “According to the
policy, if you blow the whistle and it is below N500m, you
get four to five per cent because the higher the amount that
is recovered, the lower the percentage that is given. This is
the global best practice. “If the recovery is between N500m
and N1bn, you get three to four per cent (commission). If it
is N1bn and above, it is 2.5 per cent. Indeed, there is a
clause that we included in the policy to say that the
government may determine the amount to be awarded
based on other criteria provided that the amount to be
awarded doesn’t exceed five per cent. In other words, the
government may actually pay less than 2.5 per cent but
nobody can be paid more than five per cent.”

Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie for the latter’s inability to
perform at a recent event in Dubai.
In a message post on Instagram Wednesday, Paul O, owner
of organizing body, Upfront & Personal wrote that he and
his team “regret” that they missed out on Sarkodie’s
performance because of “management miscommunication.”

“On November 16, 2017, One Africa Global (OAG), held the
fifth installment of the One Africa Music Fest (OAMF) in
Dubai, thanks to Pepsi, the Dubai Tourism Board and our
other sponsors it turned out to be a hugely successful event
that was enjoyed by a sold out crowd at the Madinat
Jumeriah, and was also live streamed to millions of fans
around the world.
As we continue to build our brand, we hold ourselves
accountable to the highest esteem of professionalism and
integrity to both our fans and artists and will continue to
reach across all cultures, boundaries and understandings

At the same time we call on all performing artists and fans

Sarkodie was one of the artistes scheduled to perform at
the Dubai edition of One Africa Music Festival on
November 16, 2017.
The rapper and his team arrived in the country a day
ahead of the concert but he didn’t perform during the
event. Persons at the event venue attributed the rapper’s
decision to disrespect by the organizers, and also backstage
scuffle.

The famous whistle-blower » , who informed the EFCC of the $43m,

rejected a N325million offer from the FG insisting on his five
percent
commission of N860m.
In a report by Punch, the whistle-blower's lawyer, Yakubu Galadima
» made this known as he said his client will not accept anything
below the constituted five per cent commission.
When asked if his client would accept anything less than five per
cent,
he said, “Not at all.”
Last week, Galadima had stated that the commission his client was
expecting from the Federal Government was five percent of the total
recovered fund, N860m.
The lawyer also stressed that his client's commission should be
paid
with the exchange rate at time of recovery and not when
commission
was released.

residing at Nkawkaw and father of the victim.
DSP Abadamlora said Darku is also a lotto writer residing
at Mataheko in Accra.
Prosecution said the accused also ply his lotto trade at
Twenebour, near Dansoman in Accra and knew the victim
and her siblings who live around the same vicinity.
Accused has been buying the victim and his sublings ice
cream sometimes.
The prosecutor said the victim and her colleague have been
visiting the accused and cleaning his room for him.

Joselyn Dumas has won ‘Best Actress’ at the just ended Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival for her lead role in the romantic comedy, ‘Potato Potatho’. The Shirley Frimpong-Manso’s movie was premiered in Accra, at the Silverbird Cinema on 30th November 2017. It was also part of the official selection for the Film Africa Festival which ran from October 27 to November 5. The film, an African comedy of errors, is about a divorced couple who cannot agree on divorce terms and settle for co- ownership of their matrimonial home and other property. The movie stars Nigerian actor OC Ukeje and Ghana’s Joselyn Dumas who play the lead roles, alongside Joke Silva, Blossom Chuckwujekwu, Chris Attoh, Nikki Samonas, Adjetey Annang, Lala Akindoju and Victoria Michaels. At a press screening of the movie on Tuesday, Shirley Frimpong Manso said that the movie was a collaboration between Ghanaians, Nigerians and some Swedish people. She also added that due to the vagaries of the film production in Ghana, she adopted a different strategy. “Potato Patahto has been out for almost a year but we’ve decided to have a different approach. Nigerian artiste Yemi Alade has revealed that she was
disrespected by Sarkodie when she asked him for a
collaboration sometime in the past. According to her, the
rapper rejected advances from her management team for a
collaboration on so many occasions without giving any
justifiable explanation. The Afropop singer was on the
Starr Chat show Wednesday and registered her displeasure
with the kind of treatment Sarkodie meted out to her. She
disclosed that she used to be a big fan of the Ghanaian
rapper, but has since changed her opinion about him since
he exhibited such an “unprofessional” attitude towards
her. “I’ve really tried my best to really not go into details

always” of winning the upcoming Ballon D’Or for best

Commission
(EFCC) in Abuja over fraud he allegedly committed

It was a night of African music as the One Africa Music
Festival went down at the Madinat Jumeirah Al Sufough,

Alex Iwobi reveals why he snubbed England to play for
Nigeria
Super Eagles star, Alex Iwobi has disclosed the reasons he
snubed England for Nigeria after scoring a brace in the
win over Argentina on Tuesday.
The 21-year-old made the choice to play international
football for Nigeria in 2015 despite featuring in England’s
youth teams.
Iwobi admitted his family, including his uncle and former
Bolton star, Jay-Jay Okocha, played a pivotal role in the
decision.
“I was growing up in England and England was the only
national team I knew, so I was actually very pleased to play
at national level,” Iwobi told Soccer Laduma.
“However, my family are all from Nigeria, I was born in
Nigeria, my uncle (Jay-Jay Okocha) is a legend in Nigeria.
“That’s why I thought I would give it a chance. That’s why I
went to the U23s and somehow felt more welcome, and I
thought it’s where I belong, so I made the decision to
switch.”
