If democracy were truly in decline — as claimed by the serial party defector and self-proclaimed Obidient messiah — he would be in jail for making such deluded statements. Let him try saying the same thing in Russia or North Korea, and he’d quickly understand what the absence of democracy really feels like.

In contrast, President Tinubu remains ahead and proves himself a true democrat — one who tolerates criticism, respects opposition, and allows freedom of expression to thrive. That, in itself, is the clearest evidence that democracy is alive and well in Nigeria.
