PoliticsMan Breaks Down In Tears As Wife Gives Birth To Six Babies At Once by lagostrendboy(op): 10:46pm On Oct 20, 2025
Man Breaks Down in Tears as Wife Gives Birth to Six Babies at Once — Emotional Video Goes Viral

A touching yet emotional video has gone viral on social media, showing a Nigerian man breaking down in uncontrollable tears after his wife gave birth to six children at once — a rare occurrence that has left many both amazed and sympathetic. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

The heartwarming yet overwhelming incident reportedly took place in a local hospital, where the man, believed to be in his mid-30s, was seen standing beside his wife and their newborn sextuplets.

In the viral clip, the new father appeared completely overwhelmed by emotions — not of joy, but of shock and worry. While his wife lay on the hospital bed surrounded by nurses, the man could be seen crying uncontrollably as he stared at the six babies swaddled in white cloth.

“You Get Mind Give Birth to Six Children” — Husband Laments

According to eyewitnesses, the man kept repeating his disbelief at the situation. In a shaky voice, he was heard saying to his wife, “You get mind give birth to six children.”

Those present at the hospital tried to console him, but his reaction revealed the heavy emotional and financial burden that had suddenly landed on his shoulders.

The nurses attending to the couple could be heard offering words of comfort, assuring him that children are blessings from God and that divine help would come in due time. Despite their efforts, the man remained inconsolable, sobbing deeply while glancing repeatedly at his wife and the newborns.

Man Overwhelmed by Economic Reality

The man’s emotional breakdown quickly resonated with many Nigerians online, who could relate to the economic hardships faced by families in the country.

Commentators noted that while the birth of six children is a miracle, it also represents an immense financial challenge — especially in a time when the cost of living, food, and medical care continues to soar.

Some social media users empathized with the man’s reaction, pointing out that even a single birth can be financially demanding, let alone six at once.

Mixed Reactions Trail the Viral Video

The emotional clip has sparked a range of responses across different platforms, from sympathy to humor.

A user identified as @Awawa wrote:

“If he pulls through this, he doesn’t need to give birth again. Make him solicit for help sha. Make una hold am before e run.”

Another user, @MorMoney, commented with mixed feelings:

“This kind blessing, he’ll enjoy it in a few years. He should be celebrating shah. But if him come later do DNA test, e come show negative, nah mad oh. Some people will come for me now.”

Similarly, @amtallgift1 humorously added:

“Please help me hold that woman wey talk ‘take heart sir, they’re your blessings.’ 😂😂😂”

Others, however, were more reflective, praying for the family to receive help and divine provision to care for the babies.
Children Are Blessings — Nigerians React

While some criticized the man for expressing despair instead of joy, many Nigerians defended him, saying that his reaction was honest and human given the current economic situation in the country.

A Facebook user wrote:

“Let’s be real — it’s not easy. He’s not ungrateful, he’s just overwhelmed. Feeding six newborns at once is no joke.”

Another added:

“May God provide for them. This is not just a blessing but also a huge responsibility. I pray people and the government support him.”

The video continues to spread rapidly online, with calls from well-meaning Nigerians and charity groups urging support for the family. Some users even tagged state officials and philanthropists, asking them to step in and offer assistance.
The Reality Behind the Tears

Experts say that cases of multiple births — such as triplets, quadruplets, or sextuplets — are rare but can occur naturally or through fertility treatments. However, such situations often come with significant financial, emotional, and medical challenges.

Raising six children simultaneously means increased costs in healthcare, nutrition, diapers, housing, and education — responsibilities that can easily overwhelm even stable families.

For this emotional father, his tears might have represented not only shock but the fear of the unknown — wondering how to care for six babies in a country where inflation and unemployment are already at record highs.

Still, many Nigerians hope that the couple’s story will attract compassion, sponsorship, and national attention — transforming their moment of fear into one of hope and support.

Politics“i’m Proudly Igbo, But I Don’t Pray They Ever Release Nnamdi Kanu” — Lady Sparks by lagostrendboy(op): 10:33pm On Oct 20, 2025
“I’m Proudly Igbo, But I Don’t Pray They Ever Release Nnamdi Kanu” — Lady Sparks Outrage Online

A Nigerian lady who identifies as Igbo has stirred intense controversy online after declaring that she does not support the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Eyes Of Lagos reports,

The lady, known on X (formerly Twitter) as Her Excellency (Ada), made the bold statement while reacting to a recent protest organized by activist Omoyele Sowore, calling for Kanu’s immediate release.

Her remarks have since triggered a wave of mixed reactions across social media, with many Nigerians—especially from the Southeast—criticizing her stance as “insensitive” and “divisive.”
Ada’s Controversial Statement

In her viral post, Ada stated plainly that while she is proudly Igbo, she does not pray for Nnamdi Kanu’s release, insisting that his detention should continue.

She wrote:

“Sowore is just one who is desperate for attention. The Igbos on Facebook are laughing at him because we did not send him message.
I’m proudly Igbo and I don’t pray they ever release Nnamdi Kanu.”

Her post quickly gained traction, amassing hundreds of comments within hours as Nigerians debated her choice of words.
Background: Sowore’s #FreeNnamdiKanuNow Protest

Ada’s comments came shortly after the #FreeNnamdiKanuNow protest in Abuja, led by human rights activist Omoyele Sowore and other pro-democracy campaigners.

The peaceful demonstration, which aimed to pressure the government into releasing the IPOB leader, was reportedly disrupted by security forces.

Eyewitnesses confirmed that police fired teargas to disperse the crowd, leading to chaos. Several protesters were arrested, including Aloy Ejimakor (Kanu’s lawyer), Kanu’s brother, and others.

The incident reignited nationwide conversations about freedom of speech, ethnic rights, and political persecution.
“Sowore Is Desperate for Attention” — Ada Reacts

Reacting to the protest, Ada accused Sowore of using Nnamdi Kanu’s name for political relevance and public attention.

She claimed that no Igbo group or movement had authorized Sowore to organize a protest on their behalf, calling his actions performative.

“Sowore is just one who is desperate for attention,” she said. “We didn’t send him. He’s doing all these things for show.”

Her declaration that she would never pray for Nnamdi Kanu’s release shocked many Nigerians, especially fellow Igbos, who felt her words represented a betrayal of her ethnic roots.
Mixed Reactions From Nigerians

The post quickly went viral, attracting a flood of heated responses. Some users defended Ada’s right to express her personal opinion, while others labeled her a “sellout.”

@Ikuku commented:

“You speak for yourself and, hence, are entitled to your opinion.”

@Chiukwujioke wrote:

“Yes, I don’t support Sowore. But Kanu should still be released. You can dislike Sowore without wishing another man stays in detention.”

@Fodio replied angrily:

“STFU, you fool. Every Igbo man wants MNK released except the evil ones. You’ve just shown us who you are.”

Another user, @Chiazoka Ibe, questioned Ada’s authenticity:

“Post your NIN for confirmation. Anybody can claim to be Igbo online. A claim without proof is useless.”

Meanwhile, @Innocent John stated:

“Your prayer won’t work; millions are praying for him already. Kanu will walk free.”

Adding a different perspective, @Chidike Udeh wrote:

“Whether you like him or not, his detention is illegal. The court has already ordered his release. This is about justice, not tribal sentiment.”

A Deep Divide Online

The debate surrounding Ada’s comments reflects the deepening divide among Nigerians on the issue of Nnamdi Kanu’s continued detention.

While some believe he should face the consequences of his separatist campaign, others insist that the government has violated court rulings by keeping him in custody despite multiple court orders granting him bail.

As of now, Ada has not issued any further clarification or apology. Her post remains visible on X, continuing to attract engagement and reigniting conversations about ethnic loyalty, freedom of opinion, and human rights in Nigeria’s digital space.

PoliticsKano Court Orders Viral Tiktok Lovers To Marry Within 60 Days Over “immoral” Vid by lagostrendboy(op): 10:24pm On Oct 20, 2025
Kano Court Orders Viral TikTok Lovers to Marry Within 60 Days Over “Immoral” Videos

In a rather dramatic turn of events, a Magistrate Court sitting in Kano State has reportedly issued an order compelling two popular TikTok content creators, Idris Mai Wushirya and Basira Yar Guda, to get married within 60 days. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

The ruling, which has sparked massive reactions online, comes after several of their videos went viral showing the duo in what authorities described as “indecent and morally offensive” displays.

According to reports obtained by Instablog9ja, the viral clips — which captured the pair engaging in romantic acts — were deemed to have violated Kano’s strict moral and religious codes, particularly those relating to public decency and online content.
Court Ruling and Directives

The judgment was reportedly handed down by Resident Magistrate Halima Wali on Monday, October 20, 2025, at a Magistrate Court in Kano. In her ruling, the Magistrate ordered that Mai Wushirya and Basira must formalize their relationship through marriage within sixty (60) days or risk being charged with contempt of court.

To ensure compliance, the court further directed the Chairman of the Kano State Films and Video Censorship Board to monitor and supervise the implementation of the order.

This ruling comes after the couple was previously arraigned on charges of producing and circulating obscene materials, which are considered a violation of Kano’s Sharia-based morality laws.
Background and Legal Context

Sources reveal that Idris Mai Wushirya was earlier remanded in custody following a public outcry over a viral video where he appeared in a compromising situation with his co-creator, Basira Yar Guda.

Authorities argued that the duo’s behavior not only offended public morality but also breached provisions of Kano’s censorship and decency laws. Under the state’s regulations, content creators are prohibited from producing or sharing material deemed sexually suggestive or contrary to Islamic ethics.

The Kano State Films and Video Censorship Board, known for its active monitoring of entertainment content, has been increasingly cracking down on creators whose work it considers offensive. Officials insist that such measures are necessary to preserve moral discipline and cultural values in the state.
Public Reactions and Debate

Since the news broke, the ruling has generated intense debate across social media, with thousands of Nigerians sharing their opinions on the matter.

While some users have supported the court’s stance, arguing that content creators should respect the values of the communities in which they operate, others have described the decision as “extreme” and “a violation of personal freedom.”

A user on X (formerly Twitter) commented:

“This is unbelievable. Forcing two adults to marry because of a video? What if they’re not in love?”

Another wrote:

“Kano State always finds new ways to surprise us. This isn’t about morality anymore — it’s about control.”

Meanwhile, both Idris and Basira have remained silent amid the controversy. Neither of them has issued an official statement on the matter, although fans continue to tag them in posts demanding clarification.
Broader Implications

Observers say the incident highlights the growing tension between digital freedom and cultural conservatism in parts of Nigeria. With the rise of social media influencers across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, many young creators often find themselves navigating a fine line between creative expression and traditional expectations.

Legal experts note that the court’s ruling, if enforced, could set a controversial precedent for how moral and religious standards intersect with social media behavior in Northern Nigeria.

As of the time of this report, it remains unclear whether the couple intends to appeal the decision or comply with the court’s directive to marry within the stipulated time frame.

The story continues to dominate conversations online, drawing both national and international attention to Kano’s unique approach to regulating morality in the digital age.

CelebritiesWizkid Crowns Self Number 1 Amid Afrobeat “Big 3” Controversy by lagostrendboy(op): 6:51am On Oct 13, 2025
Grammy-winning Nigerian superstar Wizkid has reignited the never-ending debate about Nigeria’s “Afrobeat Big 3” after boldly declaring himself the number one artiste in the country’s music scene. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

The self-acclaimed Starboy made the statement on his Instagram story, posting a whiteboard image that read:

“Type sht. Big Wiz. Number 1.”

The cryptic but confident post immediately sent social media into a frenzy, with fans dissecting its meaning and debating whether Wizkid’s claim was justified.

The “Big 3” Debate: Who Reigns Supreme in Afrobeat?

The term “Afrobeat Big 3” has become one of the most popular and controversial topics in Nigerian pop culture. It refers to Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy, three global powerhouses whose influence has helped shape the sound and identity of modern Afrobeats.

Each artist boasts a unique legacy:

Wizkid — celebrated for his international crossover success with Essence and Come Closer.

Davido — known for his energetic anthems like Fall and Unavailable and his strong industry connections.

Burna Boy — praised for his Grammy-winning artistry and politically conscious sound.

While fans of each star fiercely defend their favourites, the recent declaration by Wizkid has once again thrown fuel into the fire of this ongoing rivalry.

Wizkid’s Bold Declaration

For years, Wizkid has maintained a calm and sometimes cryptic approach to public comparisons. However, his latest message left little room for interpretation — he sees himself as number one.

The post, which quickly went viral across Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and TikTok, sparked thousands of reactions from fans, celebrities, and entertainment bloggers.

Some fans hailed Wizkid’s confidence, calling him “the blueprint” of modern Afrobeats. Others argued that his claim was a subtle response to recent online polls and debates ranking Davido or Burna Boy higher.

One fan wrote:

“Wizkid doesn’t talk much, but when he does, the internet shakes. Big Wiz really said ‘Number 1,’ and he meant it.”

Another countered:

“Davido has been more consistent and impactful this year. Wizkid should relax — charts and streaming numbers don’t lie.”

Tiwa Savage Weighs In on the “Big 3” Debate

Interestingly, Wizkid’s declaration comes just weeks after Afrobeat queen Tiwa Savage shared her thoughts on the “Big 3” conversation — but from a different angle.

In a recent interview, Tiwa questioned why female stars like Tems are often excluded from the list when discussions about Nigeria’s biggest Afrobeat artists arise.

I feel like it’s unfair to have conversations about the Top 3 and not mention Tems,” Tiwa Savage said.

Her comment added another layer to the debate, sparking discussions about gender inclusivity in the Afrobeat industry and the recognition of women driving the genre’s global expansion.

Fans React: “Confidence or Shade?”

As expected, Wizkid’s statement divided social media.
While some saw it as a display of self-assurance and pride, others perceived it as subtle shade aimed at his contemporaries.

Entertainment analyst @TheLagosCritic wrote:

“Wizkid has every right to call himself number one. He opened major global doors for Afrobeat before it became trendy.”

Another user responded:

“Confidence is great, but this constant ranking culture is exhausting. All three have carried Afrobeat in their own ways.”

On X, #BigWiz and #Big3 trended for hours, with fans comparing streaming numbers, concert attendances, and award achievements to prove who truly deserves the “number one” spot.

The Legacy of the Afrobeat Big 3

Whether it’s Wizkid’s minimalist grace, Davido’s infectious charisma, or Burna Boy’s powerful artistry, the “Big 3” have collectively transformed Nigeria’s music scene into a global cultural powerhouse.

From selling out the O2 Arena to winning Grammys and topping Billboard charts, the trio continues to inspire the next generation of artists — from Rema and Asake to Ayra Starr and Fireboy DML.

Still, Wizkid’s declaration shows that the spirit of healthy competition remains alive, driving innovation and excellence across the industry.

Final Thoughts

Wizkid’s recent “Number 1” claim is more than just a viral moment — it’s a reflection of confidence earned through years of hard work, consistency, and global impact.

Whether fans agree or not, one thing remains clear: the Afrobeat Big 3 debate is far from over, and every new move from these stars only adds another chapter to Nigeria’s ever-evolving musical story.

PoliticsHow Nigerian Churches Are Using Tiktok And Instagram To Attract Millennials by lagostrendboy(op): 9:37am On Oct 12, 2025
In recent years, Nigerian churches have embraced a bold digital transformation, using social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram to connect with younger audiences. Millennials and Gen Z congregants are no longer passive observers—they are active participants in a church experience that transcends the traditional Sunday service. From viral worship videos to digital giving, the landscape of faith in Nigeria is rapidly evolving. Eyes Of Lagos reports,
🎥 Viral Worship and Online Ministry

Social media has become a powerful evangelism tool for Nigerian pastors. Platforms like TikTok and Instagram are helping churches create content that resonates with younger believers. Viral prayer sessions, worship snippets, and motivational messages are not just attracting attention—they are reshaping how faith is experienced.

Pastors such as Jerry Eze, known for his daily “New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations,” have garnered massive followings online. These digital services allow millennials to participate in prayer sessions from anywhere, fostering a sense of community that bridges geographical distances. Similarly, larger institutions like the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) have expanded their digital footprint, livestreaming services and hosting interactive Bible studies for online followers.
📱 Social Media as a Church Engagement Platform

Nigerian churches are using Instagram and TikTok not just to broadcast messages but to engage audiences actively. Many churches share behind-the-scenes footage of church events, worship rehearsals, and testimonials, creating relatable content that encourages young people to participate in church life.

For example, The New Church in Lagos (@wearethenew_ikeja) actively promotes its events and workshops on Instagram, allowing followers to RSVP, comment, and interact with church leaders directly. Other initiatives like Project 13 are equipping churches with the skills to craft effective social media campaigns, ensuring that religious messages are delivered in formats that young people find engaging.
💸 Digital Giving and Community Support

The digital shift has also transformed how congregants contribute to their churches. Mobile payment solutions and digital wallets allow millennials to donate conveniently through apps, bank transfers, and QR codes shared on social media. This integration of technology not only simplifies giving but also enables churches to fund outreach programs, social initiatives, and community development projects.

Digital giving also allows for greater transparency, as congregants can see exactly how their contributions are being used. This accountability resonates strongly with younger churchgoers, who often prioritize ethical practices and social impact.
🌍 Creating a Global Church Community

By leveraging social media, Nigerian churches are creating a worship experience that is both local and global. Millennials who might not attend a traditional service can still engage with sermons, participate in virtual prayer meetings, and connect with like-minded believers across the country and beyond.

The use of TikTok and Instagram has effectively broken down barriers, making church culture more inclusive, accessible, and interactive. It allows young Nigerians to incorporate their faith into daily life, not just on Sundays.
✨ Conclusion

Nigerian churches are redefining worship through digital innovation. By harnessing platforms like TikTok and Instagram, they are capturing the attention of millennials and Gen Z with engaging content, viral worship sessions, and seamless digital giving. This evolution in church culture shows that faith and technology can coexist, creating vibrant communities that are dynamic, inclusive, and forward-thinking.

For millennials, these online platforms have transformed religious participation from a weekly obligation to an everyday experience, making faith more interactive, accessible, and relevant in today’s digital age.

PoliticsLagos Church Leaders Who Went Viral For Controversial Sermons by lagostrendboy(op): 9:10am On Oct 12, 2025
In Lagos, where faith and social commentary often intersect, a few church leaders have recently captured national attention for sermons that went viral. These messages, some praised and others criticized, have ignited debates across social media, news outlets, and even meme culture. Here’s a look at the pastors whose words have sparked controversy and why they captured the public imagination. Eyes Of Lagos reports,
Pastor David Ibiyeomie: “Jesus Hates Poverty”

Pastor David Ibiyeomie, founder of Salvation Ministries, triggered widespread discussion when he claimed, “Jesus never visited any poor person in the house.” The statement drew sharp criticism from fellow clergy and the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), who argued that it misrepresented Christ’s mission to uplift the marginalized.

Despite the backlash, the sermon spread rapidly across social media, with clips of the message shared thousands of times. Many debated the theological implications, while others used humor to create viral memes highlighting the pastor’s controversial claim.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome: “Salt Is a Health Weapon”

Another Lagos-based pastor making headlines is Pastor Chris Oyakhilome of Christ Embassy. In a sermon streamed online, he controversially suggested that recommendations to reduce salt intake were part of a global agenda to keep people unhealthy.

Medical professionals quickly fact-checked the claim, calling it misleading, but the sermon continued to generate buzz. Supporters shared the video widely, while critics flooded social media with comments, creating one of the most talked-about viral church moments in recent years.
Pastor Bolaji Idowu: “Fear Is the Yoruba’s Biggest Problem”

Pastor Bolaji Idowu ignited social media debate with his statement that “fear” is the main problem facing the Yoruba people. The sermon instantly went viral, with Nigerians weighing in on his sweeping generalization.

The discussion highlighted the power of controversial statements in religious discourse and how social media amplifies every provocative opinion, whether accepted or challenged.
Pastor Paul Adefarasin: “I Don’t Believe God Created Nigeria”

Pastor Paul Adefarasin of House on the Rock Church stunned congregants with a sermon questioning the divine creation of Nigeria. He argued that the nation’s 1914 amalgamation was a human construct imposed by colonial authorities rather than a divine plan.

The sermon sparked conversations about national identity and history, trending across social platforms. Videos of the sermon circulated widely, prompting debates about faith, history, and the role of religious leaders in societal discussions.
Mummy G.O.: “I Spent 990 Years in the Kingdom of Darkness”

Evangelist Funmilayo Adebayo, popularly called Mummy G.O., gained viral fame for claiming she spent 990 years in the kingdom of darkness before converting to Christianity. Her dramatic storytelling and fiery preaching style became instant online fodder for memes and social media commentary.

While some admired her storytelling, others mocked the hyperbolic narrative, demonstrating how controversial content can drive virality in Nigeria’s digital space.
Why These Sermons Went Viral

Several factors contribute to the virality of these sermons:

Shock Value: Bold and controversial statements attract attention.

Social Media Amplification: Platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter spread clips rapidly.

Public Engagement: Sermons sparking debate create more shares, comments, and discussions.

Cultural Relevance: Statements touching on health, ethnicity, or national identity resonate deeply.

Modern Nigerian pastors understand that viral sermons can elevate their influence beyond church walls. Whether intentional or accidental, these messages blur the line between faith, public discourse, and entertainment, proving that in today’s digital age, every sermon has the potential to trend.
Conclusion

Lagos has become a hub for religious leaders whose controversial sermons stir public debate. From theological claims to provocative social commentary, these pastors are shaping the conversation about faith, society, and identity in Nigeria. As social media continues to amplify every statement, viral sermons will remain a defining feature of Nigeria’s religious landscape.

In Nigeria, faith is not just a private matter—it’s a cultural phenomenon that shapes daily life, fashion, and social interactions. Over the past decade, a new generation of viral gospel influencers has emerged, transforming the way Nigerians experience spirituality. From street preachers in bustling Lagos markets to pastors gaining millions of YouTube views, these faith leaders are redefining religious engagement and social influence. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

Videos of their sermons regularly go viral on platforms like TikTok and X (formerly Twitter), reaching audiences far beyond the streets of Lagos.

Many of these street preachers combine humor, local dialects, and relatable anecdotes, making their messages shareable and widely discussed online. For many Lagosians, their sermons are both spiritually uplifting and a form of entertainment, creating a unique blend of faith and culture.
Pastors Turning YouTube into a Ministry

The digital revolution has allowed several Nigerian pastors to expand their ministries online. Platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok have become modern-day pulpits, enabling preachers to reach millions without the physical limitations of a church building.

Pastors like Joshua Iginla, Paul Adefarasin, and others have amassed large online followings, blending traditional preaching with high-quality video production, live Q&A sessions, and viral worship content. Their influence extends beyond sermons—they set fashion trends, lifestyle habits, and spiritual discussions across Nigeria and the diaspora.
Gospel Singers and Viral Worship Leaders

Music has always been central to Nigerian worship, and viral gospel singers now play a key role in shaping faith culture. Artists like Tope Alabi, Sinach, and Judikay regularly trend on social media, with performances that combine fashion, choreography, and viral hashtags.

Their influence is not limited to entertainment; they also drive church attendance, online donations, and engagement in charitable programs. When a worship video goes viral, it becomes a cultural moment, uniting congregations online and offline.

Viral gospel influencers are transforming how Lagosians worship, dress, and interact socially. Church fashion trends—from vibrant ankara to designer shoes—often gain momentum after being showcased in viral sermons or music videos. Online preachers and singers also shape discussions about morality, mental wellness, and social responsibility, blending spirituality with practical lifestyle advice.

Moreover, these influencers play a role in community-building. Many organize outreach programs, mentorship initiatives, and charity events, reinforcing their relevance beyond the pulpit.

“I don’t get enough credit for what I’ve done,” Tiwa said. “Sometimes I feel like people don’t fully appreciate my journey or how much I’ve helped shape the Afrobeats movement.”

“I Haven’t Received My Flowers,” Says Tiwa Savage

When asked if she feels she has received her flowers from fans and colleagues, Tiwa didn’t hold back.

Her response was direct:

“No. I’m sorry, I don’t.”

The ‘Somebody’s Son’ crooner explained that although she is proud of her milestones — including international awards, hit singles, and sold-out concerts across the world — she believes female artists in Nigeria are often underappreciated compared to their male counterparts.

Tiwa Savage Highlights Gender Bias in the Music Industry

Tiwa Savage noted that the entertainment industry sometimes fails to give women the same level of respect, visibility, and acknowledgment as male artists.

“There’s always comparison and criticism,” she said. “Instead of celebrating women’s wins, people focus on what we’re not doing right. It can be frustrating.”

Despite the bias, Tiwa emphasized that she remains focused on her craft and continues to push boundaries for women in Afrobeats.

Tiwa Praises Ayra Starr, Tems, and Diamond Platnumz

Even while expressing her disappointment, Tiwa showed grace and humility by commending other African stars making global impact.

She gave special mention to fellow Nigerian singers Ayra Starr and Tems, as well as Tanzanian star Diamond Platnumz, acknowledging their hard work and how they are “helping to shape the sound and visibility of African music.”

“I love seeing other African artists win,” she said. “It’s inspiring to see how far we’ve come as a continent.”

Looking Ahead: Tiwa’s Message to the Next Generation

Tiwa Savage concluded by sharing a message of hope and empowerment for upcoming female artists. She expressed her wish that the next generation of women in music will be celebrated fully for their impact without having to fight for validation.

“My hope is that the next generation of female artists won’t have to struggle the way we did to be seen or respected,” she said. “They deserve to be celebrated, not compared.”

A Lasting Legacy in Afrobeats

Over the past decade, Tiwa Savage has cemented her place as a pioneer of modern Afrobeats, with hits like All Over, Eminado, Koroba, and 49-99. Her success has opened doors for countless African women in the global music space.

CelebritiesTiwa Savage Reveals She Once Thought ‘dorobucci’ Was A “Crap Song” by lagostrendboy(op): 7:34am On Oct 08, 2025
Award-winning Afrobeats superstar Tiwa Savage has made a surprising confession about one of her most iconic collaborations — the Mavin Records hit “Dorobucci.”

Speaking in a recent interview with NotJustOk, the singer revealed that she initially thought the song was “crap” when she first heard it, never imagining it would go on to become one of the biggest anthems in Afrobeats history. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

The Dubai Moment That Changed Everything

Tiwa recounted that Don Jazzy, the Mavin Records boss and producer, played the track repeatedly while they were in Dubai for her wedding. At the time, she tried to hide her true feelings, unaware of how the record would eventually shape her career.

According to her, Don Jazzy had been obsessed with the beat long before recording began. “He played it over and over again throughout our hotel stay,” she said. After her wedding, Don Jazzy convinced her to return to Nigeria to record her verse — even though she thought she was heading for her honeymoon.

When she later heard the final version, Tiwa said she was stunned by how drastically the song had evolved, calling the result “flabbergasting.”

From Doubt to a Classic Collaboration

Tiwa also admitted she was the last artist to record her verse because she wasn’t convinced about the song’s potential. She compared the experience to her earlier doubts about “Eminado,” another chart-topping hit she didn’t initially believe in.

Despite her skepticism, Dorobucci became an instant sensation, dominating charts across Africa and beyond while cementing Mavin Records’ legacy as a powerhouse in the Afrobeats movement.

Tiwa praised Don Jazzy’s creative genius, acknowledging his unmatched ear for hits. She said the experience taught her the importance of trusting creative processes and respecting artistic instincts — even when they seem unconventional.

Reflecting on her journey, Tiwa concluded with a heartfelt shout-out to Don Jazzy, describing Dorobucci as a “phenomenal record” that redefined her understanding of collaboration, trust, and teamwork in music.

Foreign AffairsFormer Congo President Joseph Kabila Sentenced To Death In Absentia by lagostrendboy(op): 6:22am On Oct 01, 2025
The political landscape of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) shook on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, after a military court in Kinshasa sentenced former President Joseph Kabila to death in absentia. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

The 54-year-old, who ruled Africa’s second-largest country for nearly two decades, was found guilty of treason, war crimes, and crimes against humanity.
Why He Was Sentenced

According to court findings, Kabila allegedly:

Supported the M23 rebel group, blamed for mass killings, rape, and torture in eastern Congo.

Enabled insurrection and human rights abuses that displaced thousands of civilians.

Betrayed the Congolese state by aiding rebel advances in mineral-rich territories.

The court also ordered him to pay billions in damages to both the Congolese state and victims of the atrocities.
Kabila’s Response

Kabila, who has been in self-exile since relations soured with his successor President Félix Tshisekedi, was not present at the trial.

He dismissed the case as “politically motivated” and described the court as an “instrument of oppression.”

His whereabouts remain unknown.

What This Means

The ruling marks one of the harshest judgments against a former African head of state in recent history.

It deepens political rifts in Congo, as Tshisekedi’s government faces mounting pressure to restore stability in the volatile east.

Human rights groups, however, have raised concerns about due process, since Kabila was tried without being in court.

The Bigger Picture

The conflict in eastern Congo, fueled by M23 and alleged Rwandan involvement, continues to devastate communities. Despite a July ceasefire, violence has persisted.

This judgment may signal that Congo’s leadership wants to show zero tolerance for war crimes and treason — but whether the sentence will ever be enforced remains uncertain.

PoliticsSouth-east “no Longer Obidient,” Now Backing Tinubu – Umahi by lagostrendboy(op): 8:07am On Sep 28, 2025
Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, has declared that the South-East region, particularly Ebonyi State, has turned away from the Peter Obi-led OBIdient Movement and is now supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election. Eyes Of Lagos reports,
Umahi Speaks at New Yam Festival

The minister made the announcement on Saturday during the Ohanivo 2025 New Yam Festival in Onicha Local Government Area. He attributed the shift in political allegiance to years of perceived marginalization, which he said have made the South-East politically wiser.

“We are not OBIdient people. We have been so marginalized that we are no longer OBIdient. No, we are not. But it is the man that has given us a sense of belonging, President Bola Tinubu… There is no OBIdient person in Ebonyi,” Umahi said.

He urged citizens to recognize the developmental efforts and goodwill Tinubu has extended to the region, noting that past mistakes in voting patterns have taught the people to make more informed choices.

“The last election was a mistake, but we have come to be wiser,” he added.

Netizens React

Umahi’s comments sparked a flood of reactions online, with many Nigerians expressing skepticism, disagreement, or support:

Rosemary Mosina Egedegbe: “Please speak for yourself because you have just one vote.”

Stella Olatunji: “Is Umahi the owner of South-East?”

Justice Chukwukere: “God punish you there idiot… can’t you see what this Yoruba government is doing to Igbos?”

Sanni Shehu Shall: “Stop lying to the president. You don’t have control over your people.”

Ibeawuchi Raymond: “Umahi… Deliver your ward first.”

Abu Iro: “Tinubu has gained strong political influence in the South-East because Umahi has openly aligned himself with him.”

Orodunsin Sunday: “PBAT will not rely on South-East votes in 2027; so if they like, they vote for or against him.”

Tunde Ososanya: “Dave Umahi is the only Igbo politician I can vote for from the East to be President.”

Ekene Anaebo: “Come to Main Market Onitsha to say this without security.”

Uforo Udoekpo: “Keep dreaming, Oga minister.”

Political Implications

Umahi’s public endorsement of Tinubu signals a potential shift in political dynamics in the South-East ahead of 2027. While some commentators view his statements as reflective of personal opinion rather than the region’s collective stance, it highlights the growing influence of key regional politicians in shaping electoral outcomes.

Celebrities“I Didn’t Say It” – Ashmusy Clarifies ₦100 Million In 10 Days’ Flyer by lagostrendboy(op): 7:58am On Sep 28, 2025
“I Didn’t Say It” – Ashmusy Clarifies ‘N100M in 10 Days’ Flyer After VDM Called Her Out

Influencer Ashmusy has denied promising her followers a scheme to make ₦100 million in 10 days, following backlash from social media activist Verydarkman (VDM). Eyes Of Lagos reports

Controversy Over Flyer

VDM recently drew attention to a flyer shared by Ashmusy, which advertised a social media training course. For ₦36,750, participants were promised that they could supposedly make ₦100 million in 10 days.

VDM criticized the flyer, suggesting that the scheme was misleading and potentially exploitative.
Ashmusy Responds

In response, Ashmusy clarified that the ₦100 million claim was never meant to be taken literally. She explained that it was a headline designed to attract attention, while the actual flyer detailed legitimate ways participants could earn money online.

“I never said ‘Make 100 million Naira in 10 days’. How could I say that? I don’t own any Ponzi scheme or anything like that. On my flyer, it said you’re going to learn how to make money on social media with Ashmusy Social Media Money Blueprint. Then in the next line, it explained that in 10 days, you’ll learn businesses like haircare making, skincare making, and other ventures to earn money on social media. That headline was just for attention,” she said.

Ashmusy admitted that using a specific figure might have been misleading and said she would have preferred to use a general term like “money” instead of ₦100 million in future promotions.
Moving Forward

The influencer encouraged her followers to focus on the actual business skills outlined in the training, emphasizing that there was no get-rich-quick scheme involved.
