Where have you seen a US President give a whole speech about any Nigerian. We had Bill Clinton a seating President deliver a speech on Emegwali.

The yoruba haters could not take it. They published an article on Sahara Reporters to discredit a whole Bill Clinton.

Yorubas make me sick.
Is this not same Emeagwali that disowned Ibos and said he is a Yorubaman?

I'm sure the OP was talking about democratic, and not military regimes characterizing most of the names you listed there (all of whom by the way were goaded on by the Fulani). So you feel there is no collective destiny among the southern peoples? Well, they are all progressives trying to reach their destined ends using different approaches and seeking to burst their societal developments to the seams, but they have been held back all this while by the northern (easily the most backwards people in the world) Nigerian hegemony. If that is not a truncation of your destiny, I do not know what else is.
On South and commonality, progress is not new to Yoruba race. Our history has trails of evolutiinary breakthroughs. We desire to progress along a cultural bearing that is unique and exclusive to Yoruba and its commonwealth....and that's the bearing of Oduduwa Dynasty. If you do not share in that Dynasty, if your roots cannot be traced to Ife...we share no commonality and therefore are unable to progress together.

We can share democracy....which is what we are already doing now. We belong in Nigeria with others as co travellers in a democratic experiment and we do not discriminate, choosing one above the other. From a Yoruba standpoint you all are the same and must be excluded as such. On aspect of ancestral kinship, except for Bini and Itshekiri our brotherhood lays Northward of Yoruba ancestral domain. We did not create it, nature made it so.

Goaded on by Fulani?? Babangida kicked a Fulani out of power and to you that's goaded on. OBJ killed Atiku's Presidential ambition and even kicked him out of the party and you call that goaded on.

Can you remove the years of military rule from our history? Can you say the years under military does not count in our political experience? We are using a Constitution approved by military regime, should we tear it because it was not under a democracy govt.

Gosh, how do you guys apply your academic lessons and training in mundane matters? This is bewildering!

Tofa (Fulani) lost to Abiola
Buhari (Fulani) lost to Obj
Buhari again lost to GEJ (as "clueless" as he was said to be) before his persistence paid off this last time.

These losses indicate that Fulanis are not politically invincible.

The SE, SS and SW need to come together, otherwise they risk letting their collective and individual destinies be truncated forever by the real clueless ones: so called northern oligarchy. I am still not able to understand why Tinubu would support a stark illiterate that Buhari is. Now he is being handed the short end of the stick. Plus, why must it be Fulani all the time?
Why should the. SW, SS and SE come together, for what exactly? What collective and individual destinies is there between Yoruba and anyone else in the other zones? None! We are aligned with North for a political interest and history that predates formation of Nigeria. What history and political interest does Yoruba and Ibo share?

Also, Tafawa Balewa was not Fulani, Gowon was not Fulani, Murtala Muhammed was not Fulani, Babangida was not Fulani, Abacha was not Fulani, Abdulsalami was not Fulani...and they all came from North.

In fact, Jonathan is not the only minority that have ruled us, Gowon, Babangida, Abacha, Abdulsalami, Jonathan.

We need facts when you talk about national history and ethnic power.

PoliticsRe: Buhari Considers Balance In SGF Choice by LAGrejectIBO: 12:04pm On Jun 16, 2015
Who wants to bet that SGF is not going to SE?

You all will be shocked, two people are on the shortlist and neither one is Ibo. In fact APC has already hinted on where the post is going. They are trying to mend fences with support base after the damage done by Saraki in NASS election. The SGF will be a core APC, not a defector from PDP and someone competent and acceptable to the party and commands national respect.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Considers Balance In SGF Choice by LAGrejectIBO: 7:20am On Jun 16, 2015
To understand who Buhari will pick you first need to appreciate what SGF does.

The SGF is the Executive scribe, like the Clerk of the Assembly, he handles protocol between the President and all Executive positions dotted line to the Federal Government....Governors, Cabinet Ministers...on one hand, Legislative Heads and Judiciary Chiefs on the other, as well the Diplomatic Corps.

As his scribe, when the President travels to a foreign country, the SGF goes with him. Buhari will be visiting Christian countries, Muslim countries, Israel as well secular nations. His visits to Muslim countries will be particularly very relaxed and filled with Islamic rituals.

Rewind back to Jonathan's visit to Israel and the temple and all the rituals. If his SGF had been Lai Mohammed, instead of Pius Anyim Pius, would that not be an awkward position? Buhari is likely going to chose someone he knows can go anywhere and everywhere with him in the position of SGF.

Long story shot, Saraki outsmarted Tinubu

Case closed.

You osogbo touts should try and look for a solution for your rascal governor
Your definition of smart is warped.

If Saraki was indeed smart he would have recognised that character and wisdom is far more valuable in leadership than ambition. First he betrayed PDP to cross to APC, he defied and plotted with PDP against APC leadership and then abandoned his loyal APC deputy and brought in a PDP deputy to win the seat.

PDP has made a note of these actions and APC has noted it likewise. Do you think either party will ever again trust him in contest for a leadership position?

He wants to be President in 2019, which party is comfortable with Saraki as their candidate, given what he has shown himself to be? When the chips are down he betrays trust and his loyalty cannot be vouched for.

This is the end of his political rise, he has self destroyed...and you call that smart!

Examples abound of people who out of their own hands killed their political greatness. Obanikoro is another one. Ribadu also. FFK. Saraki is joining their class in 2019. These guys self desyroy!

Ibos own Rivers dont they? So if you are from Rivers your own case is even worse....you are a domain of Biafra!

Anyway, American Government built a base in Japan, they built a base in Germany.....does this make them owners of the land or are they on a lease on the land?

FG owes LASG lots of money and is in default on some of its land lease fees. When we lock up these facilities for back payment guess who suffers? It will be the new generation economic blockade. If you cant clear your shipment because LASG has locked FG out then wetin nwafor go do?

When LASG locked Uzor Kalu out for dodging tax all his gragra about we own Lagos could not save him. Thats to prove you dont own Lagos. You are leasing. If you default we will impose a severe economic sanctions on you.

Yorubas are not displaced from their homeland. If you chase them out they have a home to return to with plenty accomodation. The same cant be said of Ibo.

Oba is being kind when he calls Ibos guests in Lagos. Other non indigenes are guests, Ibo is not.

Ibo is in Lagos due to displacement from their homeland. Ibo is an internal refugee in Lagos. A citizen of Nigeria but a refugee in Lagos. So Oba was kind not calling Ibo what it is.

PoliticsSurvivors Of Lagos Lagoon. Lesson For Biafran Jew. by LAGrejectIBO(op): 5:01am On May 11, 2015
In Israel if you are white and Jewish you are known as a Jew. If you are black and Jewish you are described with a prefix to set you outside the mainstream Jewish race. So is the case with Ethiopian Jews. There is no American Jew or Italian Jew in Israel....a Jew is a Jew!

Ethiopian Jews are not regarded as full blood jews because of the color of their skin and negroid looks.

Biafrans who claim they descend from Jewish race need to pay attention and take lessons from the case of the Ethiopian Jew who is also an Israeli soldier and was severely beaten by white Israeli police who consider him a low class.

Even the lightest Biafran is still darker and more negroid in looks than an Ethiopian Jew. If the Ethiopian Jew is ostracised from mainstream society of his aknowledged heritage, imagine what chance a flat nosed flat headed and non Jewish Ibo has when he goes to Israel to claim his self claimed Jewish ancestry.

The moral of the story is this, after Akiolu throws you lot into the Lagoon for claiming to own Lagos, those who survived the ordeal will be exiled to South Africa to taste the anger of Kwazulu....if there are survivors after that, the niggahs shall be shipped to Israel to get a taste of blackman claiming share in Jewish heritage.

PoliticsRe: APC Crisis: Northern Leaders Move To Cut Tinubu To Size by LAGrejectIBO: 2:07am On May 11, 2015
Trailblazer1:
If not handled properly, a brewing supremacy battle between the dominant Hausa-Fulani bloc of the incoming ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC) and the South-West bloc of the party will snow-ball into a major crisis.

A source within the APC, told Western Post that immediately after the conclusion of the presidential election, the Northern elements in the party began covert moves to checkmate the overwhelming influence of Tinubu.

They were said to be perturbed by  Tinubu’s domineering attitude and started moves to cut him to size before he hijacks the party. Tinubu played a prominent role in the merger that led to the formation of the APC and the eventual emergence of Buhari as the party’s presidential flag bearer.

The subtle moves to whittle down Tinubu’s influence was a carefully crafted plot by one of the staunch Buhari loyalists, who was recently elected governor in one of the Northern states.

The architects of the plot are justifying  their actions to sideline Tinubu because they see him as a threat and an obstacle to their plans of fostering a Northern agenda on the party.

Recently, the Convener, Majeobaje Movement, a Yoruba socio-cultural group that supported Buhari in the last election, Chief Akintayo Akin-Deko, spoke of the growing discomfort of the North with Tinubu’s influence.

Akin-Deko said: “Already, we are getting complaints from the Federal level that there is a threat to Yorubalize National politics”.

Political watchers have before now predicted a clash of interests between the two factions in the party, saying the Buhari-led northern faction, which is historically conservative and believes in maintaining the present old order, which favours them, while the South-west bloc, led by Tinubu, has always been progressive-minded.

Others say Buhari’s silence on the need to restructure the country speaks volumes about his resolve to carry on promoting the Northern agenda in running the country.

There are insinuations that Tinubu and the Yoruba APC leaders may have played into the hands of Buhari and the Northern ‘hawks’, who had never hidden their desire to capture power by all means. They are now set to scheme out the Tinubu group and ultimately incapacitate them politically.

Meanwhile, there are strong indications that the South-East geopolitical zone might be sidelined in the zoning formula of the APC as regards the position of Secretary to the Government (SGF) of the Federation because of Tinubu’s endorsement of Chief Audu Ogbeh for the position.

http://www.naij.com/436247-apc-crisis-northern-leaders-move-to-cut-tinubu-to-size.html
Have you heard of a chap named Ango Abdullahi?

Nothing moves in the Northern caucus without his consent, he is the arrowhead of the Northern agenda.

Ango Abdullahi just spent days in Lagos meeting with Tinubu on upcoming arrangements for inauguration. If Tinubu's influence is to be cut why is his input so valuable that they travel from Kaduna to Lagos to see him?

Bad belle people!

The alliance between SW and NW is a long lasting one and through this new merger we are returning to the traditional trans-Savannah relationship that bonded the two cultures and peoples before Western ideas came to this land. A people called Ibo were not know back then...and you will not be a known partner in our reunion between Yoruba and Hausa people.

Ibos should go and find a people to ally and bond with, you dint belong in this one. Your own leaders already said any Ibo that identify with APC is a barstard. So follow your leaders and dont be a barstard!

The answer is simple!
Unlike Ibo, Yoruba don't have anything to prove, Ibos are below our level.

Ibos make noise about their accomplishments because of their need to be noticed ,. They have a deficiency, they try to bridge that laxity by broadcasting their milestones, forgetting that they are just now arriving at spots Yoruba already treaded decades far much earlier.

Ibos attitude is "look at me, look at me"...and if you dont notice him inspite of his loudness he kicks with tantrum.
