Hello.#
I respectfully asked to delete the sentence "i have spoken to my bank to borrow me and you will return it back later", this page is public group. the VO can come to this group and read, this sentence will signal a red flag and make the VO more strict. please delete it...

to answer your question. you only need like 2 month statement of account to get your I-120. you can get the statement of your uncle or any relative it is not compulsory you send the account opening in your name. Also the Visa officer will not asked you for the statement of account, they dont have time for that.
Gratitudes081:
Good evening everyone,
Happy Easter.

I received a 20Hr GA position Award that covers full tuition fees, health insurance and a stipend of $17,000 a year.

The quoted living expenses from the school is $27,000, which means I have a deficit of $10,000 (after subtracting my stipend from the living expenses)

Ordinarily, I am very sure that my stipend is enough to cater for my living expenses for the year, but they said I have to show evidence of the balance.

I have spoken with my bank and they are willing to borrow me the deficit as proof of fund to get my I-20 and also for visa interview, after which I return it back because I honestly don't have anyone that can cover such.

My questions are:
1. I have not received such a huge money before in my account, hope it won't look suspicious especially during Visa interview, seeing the money just came in to my account?

2. How long does the money has to be in my account before my Visa interview?

3. What is the best advice you guys can give to me on how to go about this without issue.

I will appreciate your positive thoughts on this.
Thank you.

Anyone currently study at Tulane University of Public health here?
Please i have some questions..
TravelRe: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 18 by Lagzyl1: 12:00am On Mar 22, 2025
they would asked you to present your research, you just have to tell them all you can about your research.
Why did you pick the research topic?
the Methodology?
How you collected your data?
The process of data cleaning?
Statistical method used to analyse the data?
did you do any reverse coding? if yes explain why?
what are your result and interpretation?
Any policy recommendation if yes why?
Didi you fill the gap you aim to fill?
These are the little i think you should cover and also try to talk more Ethical process.

if you provide the name of the university i can suggest more question..
Good luck and i wish you success..

Good evening guys. I don't even know where to start. I am a novice in this but I wanna try.
Started an application for a masters in public health with a university in USA. Paid there application fee of $75. A member of the admission board reached out to me and scheduled an interview for 27th of this month. This my first time ever thinking of leaving naija and doing such application. What are the possible questions I should prepare for? It's a 15 minutes interview.

TravelNigerian In UK Who Want To Move To US Vis Student Visa Lets Meet Here by Lagzyl1(op): 8:12am On Mar 18, 2025
Hi everyone, i have searched on Nairaland and notice there is no trend for Nigerian in Uk who want to move to US via Student visa, so i thought it would be a good idea to create this trend for people in the Uk to discuss their US STUDENT VISA processing, gIve advice to prospective applicant.
And also for people who has relocated succesfully via this route to US to advice those who are planning to embark on the journey.
I hope we can support each other on this trend.
Thanks

Hi everyone, what’s your advice on self sponsor.
I sponsored myself and my family to the UK via student visa 3 years ago and now moving to USA.
I applied for PhD in Epidemiology but it’s so competitive so I had to accept the MpH in Epidemiology from Tulane University with scholarships of $20,000 my deficit is around $58k.
I plan to Use Mpower but with comment here i changed my mind to use self sponsor.
Can anyone enlighten me on the chance of getting visa using self sponsor and family sponsor.

Also I wish to say I already have Masters in Public health here in the UK

Thank you for your advice.
I live in the UK, so definitely I will be going to embassy in Uk for my visa interview.
Has anyone go to US embassy with Mpower loan before?

Godgivenchild:
Going to Naija Embassy with M Power loan as pof is never advisable. There are several other better options that you can explore. How much is your deficit?

Good morning everyone, please I need everyone advice on this.
I live in the UK but want to move to US, I’ve successfully secure admission into Tulane University with 20k scholarship but that’s not enough to cover all my tuition, so therefore I need to submit POF to get 1-120.
Can I use M power loan to get my I-120 and also mention M power at the embassy.

Proper planning...
F2 cannot work.

My story
I came to the States on f2 visa but I started nursing school immediately. As f1 I have been working with my school teaching hospital with CPT and the work pays well at least for a student. I graduate this summer and of course I would get a job by God's grace with my Opt, from there get a hospital to file green card for me and my family.

So, plan your life very well. F1 has benefits
Right now it's so easy to switch to f1 from f2 if you consider that

TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Lagzyl1: 6:47am On Oct 23, 2024
Good morning everyone, please I need an advice on how to tackle this refusal.

I live in the UK with my wife and we tried to invite my mother-in-in-law over to the UK to attend my graduation ceremony and to see the kids but her visa got denied
Here’s the refusal letter…

The decision
I have refused your application for a Visit Visa because I am not satisfied that you meet the requirement(s) of paragraph V4.2 of Appendix V of the Immigration Rules because:
• You state you are retired, and you do not have any income or savings and you spend 100,000.00 NGN (46.24 GBP) each month on living expenses. However, the documents you have provided do not demonstrate your current wider personal and financial circumstances or how you support yourself daily in your country of residence. Therefore, I am not satisfied that your personal and financial circumstances are as stated.
• You state your sponsors (son-in-law and daughter) in the UK will pay a combined amount of 2000.00 GBP towards your visit. I acknowledge the supporting evidence however from the information provided you have not demonstrated the relationship between you and your daughter in the UK. There is no formal document like a birth certificate to confirm the relation. This undermines the credibility of your current application.
• The factors mentioned above have not been taken in isolation but considered collectively. They damage the overall credibility of your application, leading me to doubt your intentions in seeking to visit the UK for the limited period and purpose stated. From the information on your application form and the documents you have submitted, I am not satisfied that you intend to leave the United Kingdom or that you are genuinely seeking entry as a visitor. Your application is therefore refused under paragraph V4.2 (a) and (c).
• Rate of exchange £1 = [2,162.42 NGN (reference www.oanda.com on [25/09/2024]
• You have applied for 18 days visit to the UK for the purpose of visiting family and to attend your son-in-law graduation ceremony

Please how can I tackle this and re apply again.
Thanks for your prompt reply and contribution.
