Sports › Re: Morocco Takes Over CAF And African Football by Lamasta(m): 4:30pm On Jan 18
robosky02:
Morocco takes over CAF and African football

See the awards CAF gave to Morocco
Achraf Hakimi 🇲🇦 – Player of the Year
Ghizlane Chebbak 🇲🇦 – Women’s Player of the Year
Yassine Bounou 🇲🇦 – Goalkeeper of the Year
Othmane Maamma 🇲🇦 – Young Player of the Year
Doha El Madani 🇲🇦 – Women’s Young Player of the Year
Sanaâ Mossy 🇲🇦 – Women’s Interclub Player of the Year
Lamia Boumehdi 🇲🇦 – Women’s Coach of the Year
AS FAR 🇲🇦 – Women’s Club of the Year
Morocco U-20 🇲🇦 – Men’s National Team of the Year

At this point, CAF should stop pretending and just rename itself MAROCCAF.

Every major award, one direction. No balance. No shame. No explanation. Just Morocco, Morocco, Morocco — as if the rest of Africa didn’t play football this year.

The only thing left now is for CAF to try and hand Morocco the AFCON trophy on Sunday, and that would be the final insult. African football must not be reduced to a one-country project.

Let it be clear: we are watching.
The final between Morocco 🇲🇦 and Senegal 🇸🇳 must be FAIR — no refereeing gymnastics, no backstage manipulation, no “host advantage” drama.

African football deserves integrity, not favoritism.
CAF must choose: credibility or complete disgrace.
the only deserving Award is the men's under 20 because they won the world cup and Hakimi who won Champions league.
They have won the AFCON already there is nothing anybody can do other than complain, the script will be finalized today by CAF and Morocco

I won't have access to power, connections and resources like Fubara and not to have been able to win majority of the lawmakers to my side in the last two years. Fubara needs to learn the game to enable him be in charge. This is a common political equation that a mere SUG president or faculty president will easily solve.

If he can't politick, he should just stay away from fighting a seasoned politician because their brains don't sleep.
Those assembly members are irredeemable having them on fubaras side is tantamount to sabotage and own goal

The Nigerian team tried but they need to weed out the lazy and nonchalant players among them. Many of them lack passion and hunger for the success of the team and country.
Even at the teams worst performance Morocco could still not beat them in 120 mins, the team performed beyond expectations just that shit happens

If you don't win a game within the playtime of 90 - 120 minutes, just accept whatever you see afterwards.

Penalities are a game of luck; you can only control the standard game time. Even the coach didn't trust Lookman, Osimhen and Akor enough to play the penalties.
Bruno lost his own penalty too but we are not complaining about it but its the way and manner Chukwueze played his that is making people angry, if he has at least played it well and lose it we would not have complained this much, all the same we move

It would have been a travesty if Morocco lost. Super Eagles didn't deserve to win by any stretch.

Secondly, what is the thinking behind selecting two players who just came in as your penalty takers when they've barely warmed up.

Lastly, how can a team that has Iwobi and Lookman be giving a rookie defender a penalty shootout to take?

The coach should have subbed Akor and Onyedika a long time ago as they were totally ineffective, but he let them stay on.
They all train for the game whether he played 80 mins or 120 mins or even 1 mins is not an excuse to play a penalty like that, its annoying if you watch the replay, his facial appearance before taking the kick already showed he was not happy

He was never supposed to play that penalty. He came in exactly 120 minutes into game, at the very end. It is common knowledge, players that haven't spent time on the pitch are not supposed to play penalties.
Don't be giving excuse for the lackadaisical performance of a player that trained for a game only to come in and do like sisi to throw our opportunity away without remorse

We sold ourselves to pressure. Our game was too slow, lacking the intensity and technical know-how to disorganised a well organised defence. That kind of match needed a striker like Osimto be fed repeatedly. He was starved! Lookman couldn't get the usual passes he needed from Iwobi because our game plan was too visible and wee read by the MC. Well, if that was the instruction from the coach, it worked a bit but ostentatious us this match. If Osimhen got enough passes, things would have changed a bit.
The Coach did not do his homework well in this game....Our defense was solid but the midfield was nothing to write home about which affected the attack and for 120 mins the coach did not deem it for to change tactics, he has tried though but its disappointing the way we succumb even after the advantage we got that Chukwueze threw away

They finished 4th in the world cup last time.

Currently ranked above you as first in africa.

They are going to next world cup, you are not.

Going to the world cup is participation, what have they won in football over Nigeria that made you conclude they are better than us in football....

If you say they are currently in form than Nigeria is understandable

Did you watch that game? From start to the end of that match, Nigeria was outclassed! Even the coach got confused. Only 1 shot on goal for 120mins is shameful. You should probably go and watch how Mali outclassed this same Moroccan team. Morocco only escaped defeat to Mali by whiskers. I expected the coach to have watched that Mali game and adopt the Mali approach. Judging from this game especially now that they faced a good opposition, I think the coach Chelle isn't up to the standard. It reminded me of the dr Congo wcq game in which we were outclassed and only tactically waited for penalties to see if we'd have luck on our side. It's the same approach he adopted in this game.
In as much as what you typed is correct don't rule out the fact that this Moroccan team is a very good side with the referee support, my only take is that Nigeria did not come to party today and it showed all through the game, our midfield is where we lost it today
