It is because RCCG was at best a ragtag church when Adeboye took over. It was poor and barely known anywhere. Unlike CAC and C&S that saw glory days in the years in their founders, RCCG became the sensation it is today in the days of Adeboye. So it is not unusual that many people don't know or accord much honour to the founder.

Let's learn to put history in proper perspective. As far as history will remember, Adeboye is and will always remain the man of the match in RCCG. No leader will ever be able to dwarf what he has achieved. The CAC and C&S you mention have never had any subsequent leaders that did better than their founders. This here is the crux of the matter.

Afterall Adeboye, every now and then, still gives credit to the founder of RCCG. This should suffice.

You're a liar. Even muslims and many non-Christians know that Papa Akindayomi was the founder of RCCG. Pastor Adeboye has never claimed to be the founder. It is on the Church's website and everywhere. Just Google Akindayomi only and you'll see tons of info about the Late Rev Akindayomi.
