Adebaba1:That makes sense why most of the 50" TVs are being sold for 334k. I noticed it and wondered why😂 |
Adebaba1:Na him go set your selling price nii or what do you mean by valuing my item at a low price.Sorry, please |
Adebaba1:What's his terms like? I'm quite interested. Thanks in advance |
Also Efetobore1980 if my DS160 isn't sturdy, he wouldn't go about asking me questions upon questions. Most people don't cross 4 questions, even F1 visas. I went almost 10 questions? My ds160 is sturdy. Saying I didn't convince the VO enough to give it to me, or that I didn't establish home ties, I agree. |
giselle237:I find this misleading, really. People get Visas with 0 travel history, but travel history to a country in Southern Africa is pointless. Like Efe said, I didn't demonstrate enough home ties. It has absolutely nothing to do with going to Maputo, or going to Canada. There was a woman ahead of me who has been to UK multiple times, got denied. There was someone who has been to Canada, got denied. Mozambique or Fiji Islands really isn't the issue. Why did you go there, is more of the issue. These things are not that deep |
Efetobore1980:1, lol, people get Visas for seeing a mere friend, but it's going to see your cousin related by blood that's a failure because you're not the biological parent. Okay naa. Well done sir. 👍🏿 2, Well, you said you're not disputing my salary, and you don't know what my highest qualification is. That's fair enough. 3, I'll leave that unreplied too4, no, he was just curious why I went to moz. If he was bothered, he'd have asked why I went to Turkey or SA. But people go there regularly, don't they? But how frequent do Nigerians go to Moz? That's the reason for the question. Sometimes, it's not that deep. 5, you didn't hear the VO speak, so, no, he's not a "master" speaker Spanish. I know what master of Spanish or Portuguese sound. Again, he asked a simple question, if I speak Portuguese, and I replied that I don't. VO: Do you speak Portuguese? Me: Good morning(again?), no I speak Spanish. But I have been learning it for years now and speak fluently and bla bla bla. Really , like, really? He asked a direct question, I didn't stop at no. I replied him in the language in a full sentence, but yeah, it's not good enough. Because why would it be good enough?6, I can't argue otherwise 7, Nope, they don't ask for DS160 again. I stated it earlier. We did multiple scanning and thumbprint. They must have put the DS160 on something that they scanned. It's just a simple, "can I have your passport", or, "pass me your passport". |
Africankel:Oh, I agree, he was extremely generous. Didn't ask most people more than 3 or 4 questions. 1, yeah, I could have. But as have been stated previously not to do too much unnecessary shalaye. How was I supposed to know he wouldn't ask me later on "what other plans do you have?" As I heard him in particular, ask some other applicants? He asked a question, I answered him. I didn't need to do shalaye for a question I genuinely expected him to ask onward. 2, the other 2, South Africa and Turkey are insignificant? Well, you said you guessed, that's fair. You said, "you can enjoy these in Nigeria too". I disagree, for example, can you get a safari experience in Nigeria? People travel outside for different reasons. And whatever it is you want to do outside, can be very well done in Nigeria by that measure. 🤷🏿♂️ 3, yeah, I guessed my reply was weak room I later on thought I could have said I own a mortgage. But what's done, is done. Thanks for your input |
Didn't ask me or anyone else to see any documents, except for i20 for the F1 visas. Not even DS160s, I believe they have attached our ds160 to our passport, so the VO only ask for passport.I guess this is why they keep reiterating that if your DS160 you hold doesn't tally with what's on your profile, your appointment won't hold. So, anyone that needs to change ds160 has to change before appointment by messaging support |
Got denied this morning. Lagos consulate, 7am Probably only 1 person got approved before me but who cares? Transcript VO: Good morning and why are you going to the US? Me: Good morning, I'm going to my cousin's graduation at Uni of MD. VO: Where does your cousin live? Me: He lives in TX VO: How long are you going to stay? Me: 2 weeks VO: What do you do for a living? Me: I'm a senior data analyst at ... VO: Have you been outside Nigeria before? Me: Yes, I've been to Moz, ..., and ... VO: And all these were in the last 5 years? Me: Yes, Moz in 2022 ... and ... in 2023 VO: You said you visited Moz, why did you go there? Me: I'm a lover of African culture and nature. Plus, they speak Portuguese which is closely related to Spanish, and I speak Spanish. VO: Habla portugués? Me: No, hablo español (we both laughed) VO: How much do you earn? Me: 1.3m, (he didn't hear, so I repeated it) VO: Are you married? Me: No, I'm engaged VO: The house you stay, is it rented or you own it? Me: It's a rented apartment VO: Who do you live with? Me: Oh, I live with my fiancée. Then he really typed some stuffs for almost 2 minutes(no kidding), then he gave the blue paper with the generic statement that I can reapply again Them just dey share blue paper anyhow 🤣 Didn't ask me or anyone else to see any documents, except for i20 for the F1 visas. Not even DS160s, I believe they have attached our ds160 to our passport, so the VO only ask for passport. Until next time... |
. Shofat4real:Thank you. |
Quick one, anyone. Must the documents we're taking to embassy be in colored? Or it can be Black and White? |
playboy99:Nothing on your siggy |
Mastav:Yes, you can. But you need to fill ANOTHER DS160 with the same details as the first one. Pick abuja as your location. Go for your interview with both Lagos and Abuja ds160. The VO will change it on their end, you can't change it. And if you don't go with the Abuja own, you can't have an interview at abuja |
Picked July 2025, only 1 spot there. I'll still keep circling around if I see an earlier date, but it's incredibly harder now. Waited 3 weeks to pick July 2025 ![]() Lagos consulate |
Adejuwon26:It's been said on this thread that you can. All you have to do is create another DS160 with the same details as the Lagos own. Choose Abuja there. Then go to the embassy with both DS160. The VO would switch it for you |
trollx:Oh, by being jobless, literally. ![]() Continue checking multiple times a day, different times too. They do release dates once in a while. But those dates are for fastest finger. So, you have to be checking regularly to be able to nick it up, if you see it. |
LaMujer:Paid, and searching for a before May, date... ![]() |
Gd0007:Na to go find another 300k naa. Event is in May. I'll have to do another round of vigil and I'll probably get a March or April date. Where fight go dey na if dem no kon give me the visa ![]() |
Blackfinegirl:Lucky you |
I just used my last reschedule to reschedule my appointment from 31 Jan 2025, to 13 Jan 2026 ![]() E. B. Things 😂😂😂 |
dollarnaira:Got it, read on it now, thanks |
dollarnaira:Understood, really sunk in. Thanks. Obviously, I'm assuming, the 5kva batteries would cost lesser than the 3.5kva, right? |
dollarnaira:The fact that it hasn't been used for a long while? Will it get back to optimal capacity after usage for a while? Or it's gone? |
Drgreatone: ![]() Not that I don't know better, but you know that situation you are when you know what to do, but don't want to do it? Yeah, that's where I am. Anyway, thanks. Even though no be wetin I wan hear, but it's the truth nonetheless. I really appreciate. I'd look into getting the lithium, because I also know it means not having to bother about batteries for the next 3-4 years |
Drgreatone:150k My best friend's father is the one selling. It's not being used, and from what pictures I took yesterday on seeing it, I understood why it's going for such price
|
uctomide:Oh yes, I know lithium or lifepo is the best battery bet I can use. But I also know I can't afford it right now. I would have to make do with the less expensive tubular ones |
Good day everyone. I have an offer to buy one of two inverters. 5kva, 24V 3.5kva, 48V Both are used, and no batteries. Which do you advise I buy? I don't have much load, nor do I intend to use any heavy load on it besides basic appliances vis a vis fan, phones, laptop and TV occasionally. The 3.5kva is a Cruze sine wave, while the 5kva is a stabimatic PSW. I'm just starting my entry into renewable energy, and although I've read a lot, I haven't practiced anything ![]() I'm also very funds cautious, as the funds no dey ground. Kindly advise |
GrandMufti:You were right. I wiped instead of formatting. That's why it didn't work. I went back and while looking through, I saw it. Formatted and everything is fine. Here is the explanation i was making In picture 1, that's what I see But in picture 2, I see system taking up 126gb, leaving a paltry 1.9gb for me. Thanks
|
GrandMufti:Much thanks... |
Emmyreal4:Stupid phone is back to booting MIUI 5.0 recovery |
GrandMufti:That makes sense then. Thanks. I have an ofox recovery here. Should I flash it from twrp? |
GrandMufti:Again, my phone is not juice. It's lime |
or what do you mean by valuing my item at a low price.
I'll leave that unreplied too
