The Fed blasted its monetary bazooka for sure,” said Peter Boockvar, chief investment officer at Bleakley Advisory Group. “This better work because I don’t know what they have left and no amount of money raining from the sky will cure this virus. Only time and medicine will.”
The Fed cut interest rates down to basically zero, their lowest level since 2015. The U.S. central bank also launched a massive $700 billion quantitative easing program. President Donald Trump said he was “very happy” with the announcement, adding: “I think that people in the markets should be very thrilled.” |

Stock futures plummet — hit ‘limit down’ — even as Fed slashes rates; Dow futures off 1,000 points PUBLISHED SUN, MAR 15 20206:01 PM EDTUPDATED MOMENTS AGO
Stock futures plunged Sunday night even after the Federal Reserve embarked on a massive monetary stimulus campaign to curb slower economic growth amid the coronavirus outbreak. While the central bank’s actions may help ease the functioning of markets, many investors said they would ultimately want to see coronavirus cases peaking and falling in the U.S. before it was safe to take on risk and buy equities again.

gloriousdawn: I fear non-performing loan in banks book this year will increase. The above fear may limit banks in meeting their profit target for 2020.
In my opinion, discounting year 2019 profit for the banks when projecting 2020 profit will be more realistic. During the recession period ..Low price of oil and devaluation from 150 to 350 thereabout.. I was wondering if there was a significant drop in dividends declared by Zee, Gtb , Uba ?? From the time of recession |

rebekah2011: when that time comes, the level of NPLs and write-downs will be unprecedented in Nigerian Banking industry. Zenith can write off 450b in loans and Access bank 750b or 1 trillion sef. First bank will just ask depositors to go and collect their deposits from CBN. ; Cbn will print more money and give depositors |

3 years from now some people will wonder why they didn't buy Zenith when it was offered at N13.00, some people suggested km 9. It is good, will continue to buy in tranches till it gets to that price Well said oga mi.. in tranches at it goes lower |

RabbiDoracle: I know all these and I am factoring them into my analysis.
I have also factored if Zenith keeps losing 10% full offer till Friday, it will trade at 9.8
If it continues on full offer till next week Friday, it will be N5.85.
I am closer to the ground buying now till next week than if I bought at N24 in January 2020.
So Dow should fall to 21K7 first and let's hear from Dede Powell.
Dem must print money nonstop. Good Analysis Oga R..onifa Zee N5.85K ..the worst and that will be a good one ..we go look for money and buy more ..One day It will surely get back to its right price Am sure some people will be pleased Better to prep ones mind |
