4. Ahmed Gumi is a free man. Sunday Igboho sleeps on the same bed with his wife every night. Where is Mazi Nnamdi Kanu?

5. The Igbo are an integral part of the present struggle. They are in the mix. They are organizing, supporting and praying, even though they foresaw and warned you not to allow this disaster to happen in the first place. The only thing they have refused to do is to give you room to scapegoat them again.

Finally, note that no national transformation has succeeded or can succeed in Nigeria without the resourceful Igbo. They fought nearly sixty years ago to free themselves from the cesspool you are now also fed up with. The Igbo owe nobody an apology. That must be the lesson of the present situation.

1. How many votes did Peter Obi, someone from SE, get during the 2023 election outside of the southeast? Are you saying non Igbos who voted for Peter Obi, an Igbo man, also hate NdiIgbo? If there's any hatred for NDIIGBO then it's most likely as a result of the 1966 coup, the civil war and the divisive narrative that certain entrenched interests in Nigeria have been spreading since then. 2. Propaganda was used by certain groups to paint Igbos as the villains of the endsars protest. The entrenched political class benefiting from the existing status quo spread propaganda against the Igbos. That narrative does not even resonate with the common man who is non Igbo. If it did then Peter Obi would not get the level of support he got in 2023. I already expatiated on the endsars protest. You can gain more insight by reading it

3 and 4. If there's insecurity in the south east then it's because south east people listen to Nnamdi Kanu and Simon Ekpa... and it's because south east politicians do not want the insecurity to end. Do you know what it'll mean if all the south east governors, senators, house of rep members, house of assembly members collectively demand for the release of Nnamdi Kanu? Do you know what it'll mean if the southeast youths carryout a month long protest in the south east to demand for the release of Nnamdi Kanu? This won't happen. The entrenched political leaders in south east don't want Nnamdi Kanu out of prison because they know Nnamdi Kanu will crumble their corrupt empire and usher in a new beginning for south east. This is what is fueling insecurity in south east. It is left for the ordinary people of south east to organise themselves and challenge their leaders to get Nnamdi Kanu out of prison.

5. Well, people have no way of measuring what they cannot see. That is why I posit that Igbos must be SEEN to actively support this protest and IGBOS must immediately deploy every media arsenal to prevent any propaganda to make Igbos look like they're not part of this protest or are happy that other regions are protesting.

Your final paragraphs is disgusting because all it shows is you chestbeating to make it look like it's only IGBOs that knew that Tinubu would be a disaster. The South East supported all other regions since 1999 against their own, from Obasanjo, Yar'adua, Jonathan. when they ask other regions to support their own. You all came out hard on them, calling them all sort of names & even threatened them to go back to their region.

The fact is that the southeast was the first to set fire on any bridge of unity in Nigeria through the 1966 coup.

The responsibility therefore lies on the southeast to rebuild that bridge through working with their closest neighbors (southsouth) and those they truly wronged with the coup (north)... Those are the two regions the southeast must appeal to and join in whatever struggle they face.

The attitude of mocking others or trying to face Nigeria's neocolonial challenges alone will never work.

Explain how Dangote is monopolistic please?

As of November 2023, Dangote controls 62% market share of Nigeria's cement market. He got there through the series of waivers he got from series of Nigerian governments and court cases he uses to frustrate any competitor. For comparison, BUA is around 20% and Lafarge is around 18%.

With this sort of monopolistic control Dangote can wake up and fix the price of cement and nothing Nigerians or Nigerian government will do about it.

He did it in February this year when he jacked the price of cement up over 200% just after the minister of works announced that roads will now be constructed using concrete. Dangote backed up his action with excuses of exchange rate fluctuations despite getting most of the raw materials from Nigeria in Naira and despite existing waivers he enjoys to import cement components without tariffs and taxes.

He's attempting to do it again with pms and diesel. Asking the government to stop all importation so everyone buys from him... Then when he jacks up the price nobody will be able to cough.

My take on the protests.

The protesters must be allowed to express their grievances.

The police must allow them run amok.

These children must experience what we experienced in the post June 12 annullment when people were maimed, women were not spared and people were killed.

Due to the liberal nature of the president, people are riding on his goodwill. They are asking for the return of fuel subsidy, release of EndSARS protesters (some of whom looted people's businesses and burnt public infrastructure), abandonment of the constitution, electoral reforms, and some called for regime change.

Deji Adeyanju blamed the president for increasing allocation to state governors post-subsidy removal who have gone on to mismanage the allocations. They are afraid to protest against the governors who eroded public service and local government administration.

Throughout yesterday, apart from the police station that was razed in Nyanya, most of the properties that were destroyed belonged to private individuals.

More than 22 persons were reported to have died , including the suicide bomb in Borno State. While Ebun Adegboruwa, Deji Adeyanju, Inibehe Effiong and Yele Sowore were singing days of rage, they forgot they won't be able to control the mob. Deji Adeyanju tried to blame the police for instigating violence.

Very dark nuisance was one of the promoters of the protest; suddenly, he wants an end to it because they didn't expect the outcome. Arise News anchors on the morning show called for protest, their bus was destroyed by the mob in Kano. Atiku supported it, but has not issued a statement to commiserate with the families of those killed yesterday.

To the protesters and rioters:

(1) Who will cater for the families of those killed yesterday?
(2) Who will bear the cost of people's properties destroyed yesterday?
(3) Which fund will be used to rebuild the infrastructure destroyed?
(4) How will the mob leaders rein in on the mob they unleashed?

To Tinubu:

(1) You have been advised to address the nation and douse the tension. Don't do it! Only sensible people are ready to listen to you. Right now, the protest leaders and the rioters are not reasoning. Let them continue and whenever you step it, it is to restore order in a decisive way. You don't need to say a word. Just do it. Learn from Buhari.
(2) You cannot return fuel subsidy or return fuel price to 100 naira. The nation cannot afford it. Let each state government handle internal transportation at affordable rates. The easiest thing to do is to buy airconditioned buses and let them subsidize transportation. It is not FG who should take care of transportation within states.
(3) Let cargo planes start leaving states like Plateau and Taraba carrying food from there and taking them to major cities. That would be a temporary solution until rail infrastructure is improved nationwide.
(4) State governors must now agree to work with FG to tackle insecurity and strife within their states. The accusation of local politicians, religious leaders, military men and elites fuelling insecurity for business gains need to be nipped in the bud. One of the notorious terrorists accused a minister of funding them when he was governor.
(5) Do not declare a nationwide state of emergency or curfew for any reason. Let each state governor declare such in their states if needed.
(6) There are a lot of lies being peddled about your administration. There are lies that you bought a yatch. Where is the yatch? Some even claim that you bought a private presidential jet. How can a presidential jet be private? You may need to overhaul your information management team. You have the most media advisers in history and most of them are incompetent. Now is the time to look for a seasoned PR guru and let him bring his own team to manage information and public communications from the presidency. You have done a lot and that has not reached the ears of those who should know. As the saying goes, until the lion learns to tell his story, the tales of the hunt will always glorify the hunter.
(7) Finally, stop being nice and too tolerant. You are managing a complex nation and a complex people. How do you explain children looting public property in Kano yesterday? Being nice will lead to you being messed up. Ask Jonathan. Remember a fool will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience. You must rise to the occasion. Remember General Sani Abacha was an effective leader, despite his many faults. He accomplished all he did for the nation by not being nice to anyone. Abacha is 10x better than Tinubu. During Abacha's reign there was no insecurity. Farmers could go to their farmers and produce food for all. Remember that Tinubu's mandate is less than 35% of the total vote cast in 2023 election. More than 70% of Nigerians did not vote Tinubu.

The immediate problem people are facing today is the inability to meet their immediate needs from whatever they earn since employers still pay based on a minimum wage that is completely in dissonance from present day cost of living.

Yes, the government ought to introduce subsidy or massively supply dangote with crude oil to encourage flooding of market with pms to bring down the price.

Yes, the government ought to fix Nigeria's exchange rate while discouraging all forms of backdoor access to forex given that Nigeria's still highly import dependent and we don't even have the technological foundation to be self reliant.

There are many yeses I can highlight and point out.

My point is NLC as an organisation is the first official uniform voice for Nigeria's labour force to air their opinion and hold the government accountable to the people and the working class.

But NLC as presently constituted is now in bed with the government, collecting brown envelopes and living the people to fight for themselves.

Even a complete fool can tell that going by exchange rate alone, the previous minimum wage was worth around $93. But today, the minimum wage NLC agreed to is less than $43.

Are we supposed to be going back as a nation?

I'm sure if all Nigerian workers are allowed to vote on NLC decision they will never vote to accept N70,000 minimum wage when there's no fuel subsidy, electricity tariff has been increased and everything in the market has increased by at least 300%.

So, whose interest is the NLC representing?

The NLC had the opportunity to hold the government accountable and bring the government to listen and do what is right by the people. But useless NLC and TUC presidents and their colleagues collected brown envelopes and kept quiet, leaving the people to fend for themselves.

The people have now organised themselves to protest against the government. Unfortunately it'll be difficult to articulate and contain the agitation of Nigerian protesters now because everyone will be speaking at the same time while generally demanding for similar things
