6. Ignorance can be a blessing: Having a tough skin in business, alot of things will befall you, a lot of people will talk sh!t to you but no matter what you do, be able to not let it get you enotional cause the next line of action is always the worst one when you are emotional talking from experience

4. Carry your shoulders: The bible teaches us to be humble and polite and to turn the other cheek
I think they would have tweaked it a bit if the authors were alive today, because the meek do NOT inherit the world, people are just out to test you, to rubbish you and to make you feel small for no reason so my guy stand your ground you are better than everybody in that place as far as you are concerned, don't take sh!t from anyone when they respect you they can't put you down and once there is respect you won't be the guy they relegate to the retrenchment list if things go bad.

Eye service: We are all guilty of this one, what actually makes this a bad habit is that people actually feel the best way to do this is to put their fellow man down or cast them to their bosses so they seem like the good guy, well guess what? If you build your career based on this attitude well yes your boss may appreciate you outing the weak link but he will appreciate you more if you are actually the source of strength to the staff, strive for charisma instead of back biting and make sure your boss is present to catch you in the act of being a leader, trust me that will help you in the long run

2. Amebo: Gosh! These are my worst type of people and I suppose a million and one people agree with me, songs are even written about them for christs sake that how much people hate this habit, however I believe if applied in the right places, this could actually be a talent. So instead of being in the know about the office romance or the beef supervisor why not pork nose into Going-concern issues or managerial strategies or work flow system get a grip of how the other departments function, what they face and you will be preparing yourself for a managerial appointment in the long run

1. Obsession: Too much of everything is bad they say , back in the times of our fore fathers cause right now, obsession is a winners strategy
Know your job and I don't mean knowing 1+1=2 Pere I mean knowing the in-depth process of the addition sign, where did it come from? Who created the system? How many other systems failed before he decided 1+1 = 2, was the creator a lefty or not? Be into your work so much that you think about it every minute you hear it in everything people say and you even formulate your own systems to get things done, you want to keep your job? Be obsessed.

Gossip blog worked for linda ikeji but it may not work for you, I notice there are a lot of gossip blogs when there are a billion other niches you can take advantage of and make bank, this is where people steal articles and get their blogs blocked( say no to plagiarism) or they hire content writers to steal articles from similar site and polish it(just joking content writers are awesome) yea but we don’t have ‘hire content money’ however blogger has this thing called Google analytics which if you utilize properly you can find interesting content to display on your site remember ‘as long as there is an interest out there, you will always find people interested to learn about it’ so go find your niche



Digital marketing

This goes without saying, you need to get your blog out there your content needs to be SEOed(not real English),your brand needs to be on us like air which will mean click ads, social media participation etc

Now most people just give it to a digital marketer to handle but you are going to be doing that yourself by researching other digital marketers and building a social media calendar for your work



Monetization

This is my favourite part, how do I get returns on my N500 investment? What am I gaining at the end of the day, so normally this still sorta fall under the digital marketing category as when it comes to the web, traffic is money and there are many ways to make money from your blog what I will advice you do here is sit down and ask yourself, what is my blog about?

how am I making money from this? What is my objective at the end of the day? So basically you need a business plan

Sounds contradictory right? I mean while make money then get a job to make money.
Ideally a job is a machinery where you develop your labor skills, interpersonal skills and help the economy at the same time for a token fee. However, the Nigerian Labor system is one of exploitation where the only one who benefits is your boss that's why they always need young workers fresh out of university who haven't earned wages with the aim of paying them chump change that does not measure up to the value one provides for the company and end up with you hating your job and feeling entitled which causes frustration when you are demoted, berated or fired
Take it from a dude who has chopped every type of insult known to man in the work place, before you find a job you should know your value and come correct( by the way that’s what I mean by make money first before you get a job)
When I was 23 years old I started a job with a pretty cool tech firm and I went there with the 'I am here to learn' mentality ,omo I turn company driver, I turn receptionist,I turn door mat for people to dey shine all my ideas weren't valued and at the end of the day I got so seriously depressed that I just stopped work without the official tender of resignation then I found another job and entered with the 'I no dey gree' mentality which meant I wasn't gonna take their "corrections" or perform any 'favors' for anyone and I'm not lying when I say I was under probation on my 3rd month.
I notice them dey always throwe head for ground for one small boy wey dey the office,I come follow the guy flow only to find out his dad was an ex minister and he drives a ford and studied in the uk and is just working to build his cv I mean this guy I won't lie he was good at his job but if he misses work or makes a mistake on the job they don't say anything to him whereas the day I said I was sick, they yelled at me over the phone, wrote me up and I had to spend 3k to get sick report to show them at work before they believed me and didn't deduct my pay, I started to feel bad that perhaps I was really really incompetent or a push over people just loved to pick on j mean it was so bad I even got blamed for my boss's mistakes have you seen that kind thing before?
anyway my agidi got me demoted because I wasn't seeing eye to eye with mgt and I ended up leaving again.
The moral of the story is not just to have a lot of cash and wear designer clothes and stuff but to have a sense of your worth before you start your career, plan your career path know your strengths and develop on your short comings, step your game up have the mentality of a leader have the mind of building the company that will put you high above your peers by far no matter your position,
you will notice people will talk to you with respect, they won't send you on unnecessary errands, you won't be talked down to and you definitely won't be on the wrong side of company politics
