TravelRe: Travelling To Ghana By Road Next Week, Advise Me by Laparicoo: 8:19pm On Oct 14, 2025
He is very accurate with this information about ghana, am currently a nigeria living here for now.

No, you don't need a yellow card. You can travel with your NIN if you are traveling in a commercial bus. However, the delays are higher when you travel with your NIN and faster when you have your Nigerian passport.

Xpgroove, note that your Nigerian MTN will stop working the moment you get to Cotonou. You should buy a Ghanian SIM card once you get to Aflao. I think it's about 70 Ghana Cedis. That will enable you roam your Nigerian MTN line and stay active on WhatsApp while in Ghana.

Please note that things are by far cheaper in Nigeria than in Ghana. The Cedis just have numerical strength but economically useless. So, get ready to change tons of naira into Cedis at the Seme border or at Chisco terminal at Circle.

That's why you should get your to and fro tickets if you know for sure the day you are coming back because if you spent 100k going to Ghana, you will spend 150k coming back to Nigeria. That's because their currency no get economic value. And you have to pay in Cedis in Accra while coming back.

Please board an organised transport company like GUO, Chisco or GIG. Their fare covers everything you will need to tip border control and policemen. The tasty fried rice I ate at Chisco terminal in Accra made me fall in love with them cheesy Enjoy your visit![/quote]
