Please, what are the chances of someone being invited for aptitude test if the person omitted the cover letter section and didn't fill it? |

JMG12: COPIED F1 VISA APPROVED. Interview date 17th June Got approved on 18th June Location: Abuja Nigeria Georgia Southern University. Msc in Physical science.
I arrived at the embassy around 7am because my interview time was scheduled 8am, as we wait outside till is 7:30am before calling us in, firstly they started with 7:30-7:45. Then 8:00-8am na so we all moved in but before then there is a lot of searching which I didn't even boarder coming with both my phone nd anything bag except my file.
As is about my group to move in because they were doing it batch by batch, that's a group of 10 people at once, omooh na so I dey see as them dey throw denial up n down, how u will know one that is been denied is they will be returning back with there passport, because the pepper been issued on that 17th was all white but just a little different from Approved pepper. Now I noticed that Vo at window no 9 gives more approval than window 8 & 7 omooh na so I pray to God make mine be for VO window 9 hand oo.
Now is my turn but unfortunately the woman before me was denied as she was going for holiday nd she has been to US in 2019,but the man told her she wasn't qualified at this point, omooh na so I started shivering oo because I'm next but I took the confidence.
VO: GOOD MORNING, HOW RE U, PASS ME YOUR PASSPORT. ME : I'M GOOD AND YOU VO: I'M GOOD. VO: WHERE ARE YOU GOING? ME: I'M GOING TO GEORGIA SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY TO PURSUE TWO YRS MASTERS DEGREE IN PHYSICAL SCIENCE VO: OH PHYSICAL SCIENCE? ME: YES VO: HAVE YOU TRAVEL TO USA BEFORE? ME: NO, I HAVE NEVER HAVE ANY REASON TO.
While he keep typing, even as he was typing he will turn nd be looking at me, omohh at this point I never blink my eyes from his, it was direct eye contact! VO: ARE YOU SINGLE? ME: YES BUT I'M INTO A COMMITTED RELATIONSHIP WHICH UPON MY RETURN WILL GET MARRIED TO HER. after this, he never asked me anything, while he keep typing for a while, I was like is it all, 🤣 as I'm not seeing any questions coming, I just said let me ask him if I will tell him about my research. Omoh the man didn't reply me oo na so I kukuma keep quiet oo. Next thing VO: TAKE THIS WHITE PEPPER, YOU HAVE NOTHING TO DO AT YOUR END FOR NOW. OMOH, I was like is this just a miracle or what?? Na so I leave ooo.
I must really appreciate God for his shower of grace n mercy towards my journey even when all hope are lost at my end due to my mock interview experience nd performance coupled with panic of submiting my DS-160 6 days to my interview date and all other things yet God really came through for me, who ever that will read this my transcript I wants you to believe that this journey is not how well you prepared but pray for God's mercy, I been dey doubt God's grace till 17th of June everything was like a film to me! He will do it for you too if only you believe. But in all I will advice you to stand firm and confidence when u reach the counter, don't n never remove ur eye contact from the VO.
I really thank my prayer group members who was there encouraging me even when I wanted to schedule another date because of my illness. I appreciate all who by one way made this journey easy and what it is today!!!!!!! Wow! Congratulations!! Is your offer fully funded? |

Efetobore1980: Hello Lanre. If you feel the need to fill another ds-160 based on the fact that you want to add an important update about your profile you may go ahead. You can fill as many ds 160s as you want but your final pick must be updated to align with your visa appointment letter via your avits profile.
I don't think the U.S embassy has compulsory the use of social media for all visa applicants therefore, visa applicants who doesn't use social media at all will still have a successful visa process.
If you have anything you want the U.S embassy to see in your Twitter and Facebook accounts you can add it in your new ds-160. 👍 Thank you very much, Efe. |

Good afternoon, everyone.
Please I have a question regarding DS-160 application form. After filling the form, I saved them on my phone, but unfortunately, some parts of it were not properly saved. Although, I can remember most of the things I filled there. Also, I only added my LinkedIn and Instagram handle to the social media section.
In light of the new development regarding social media scrutiny, is it advisable I fill another one to include my Twitter and Facebook handles and that would also help me to meticulously save it this time around, or should I just leave it like that? Does filling another DS 160 form has any negative effect on one's application?
Thank you very much. |

Efetobore1980: Hello.
Yes it will have an effect. / No it will not have an effect.
The above caption means that your situation is 50/50. Therefore, the outcome of your visa is still going to be based on how well you align your visa application together.
POF (Proof Of Funds) can be demonstrated in many ways and the MPOWER support -letter is one of the better way to proof it to the visa officer. However, the bad part of the mpower is the repayment clauses (some MPOWER loan requires repayment to start during your schooling period, etc) which makes many visa officers to frown to MPOWER loan beneficiaries if they failed to explain how the repayment is going to be made.]
The few F1 visa applicants (MPOWER loan beneficiaries ) i know succeeded because :
1.. They have employment/agreement bond with their employer (regarding monthly support, returning to work after study, etc) back home in their countries.
2. They have verified balanced businesses back home in their countries which yielded daily/monthly profits for them.
3. They have inherited properties which started to materialized within 3-months of their resumption in the U.S.A. etc....
** The truth and the fact is that you can be successful with an MPOWER if you can convince the consular beyond any doubt of the smooth repayment which will not make you abandon schooling upon arrival / or left you with huge debt after graduation. Good LucK 👍 Thank you very much for your response. I will work on aligning my visa application very well. Thank you. I really appreciate. |

Good afternoon.
I secured a funding of about $46k and I got an MPOWER loan of about $51k to complete the living expenses and tuition deficit needed for the academic session.
I would like to know if this would have an effect on my interview process, although I have watched some YouTube videos on how to answer questions regarding this loan. However, I would still like to know if anyone has been in this situation before, the outcome and how they were able to navigate it.
Thank you so much. |
