While I was able to get information about the travel process from this thread, I still struggled to network or get real-time updates for people in my school (UWE, Bristol) as there were barely any. I however intend to change that and hope that it would help anyone in a similar dilemma. I have convinced the NSS (Nigerian Students' Society) at UWE to open a Nairaland page to help students coming to UWE with this. The page references this thread for all vital and general information and further welcomes questions specific to UWE. You can simply look up UWE Bristol or NSSUWE on Nairaland, I am sure it will come up. Once again, all the best to everyone! larrysax: |
Hi guys, Kudos to everyone keeping this page running and to those sharing their experiences as well. I was a huge beneficiary of this page last year as it taught me a lot about how to approach my visa application and helped with my settling down. It has been 10 months since I moved to the UK and I am having a swell time. I want to encourage everyone who is in the process of relocating for academic purposes as well. It is sometimes a long journey filled with anxiety, stress, fear, and suffering. But it is worth it in the long run. I pray your journey will be smooth without hiccups. |
I addressed my emails to both each time. They won’t beat you, so no harm in trying lol. valkaywalex: |
Please try and access it via the link in your email. If it still doesn’t work, then I guess the problem is either with your network or the compatibility of your phone browser. johnsonsegxy: |
1. Sign in to your visa application using the link in the email home office sent you. 2. Click on the biometrics link, it would take you to your TLS application page. 3. Click on “track” to know the status of your application. Hayzead121: |
I didn’t fast track it. I only sent follow up mails: immediately after I applied (Friday) & the Monday after. The response was swift. valkaywalex: |
Yes, I copied both transcript and certificate office in the email. Toludebs: |
I had this same issue weeks ago. I sent a mail and got notification of verification from WES a day after. Hope this helps. Toludebs: |
I know this is an old post but I was just revisiting my old posts and found my comment here 8 years ago. I remember how we were all actively seeking admission and information regarding Unilag. I completed my 5-year course, years back and I hope everyone here did too and are making huge strides in life? My best wishes to you all. jlo247: |
I've combed through almost all the threads and found very little or clear information on BTEC Diploma certificates. I heard it can count as two or more certificates during WES' evaluation when combined with a BSc. Is there anyone here or who knows someone that had theirs evaluated as such? It is a 6-month online program offered by Pearson's. I would appreciate feedback on this, as I intend to pay and register for the course to help in boosting my current CRS score of 441 to 474. |
