The "Specifics" is the grey area here. Right now, one is going in blind, cos d specifics is a two way fin. Firstly, maybe d interviewers on d first interview couldn't conclude, hereby resulting into dis second opportunity. Or, prolly cos, dey fink ur experience nd qualifications is good enough for a higher position. Only God knows. wonda26: The fact that you are not rescheduled for a 2nd interview doesn't mean you may not still get the job offer.
Also, that you have been invited for another interview isn't a guarantee you would get the offer.
Specifics are to clarified for these candidates. 'Specifics', I know not. |

You just nailed it. Had mine today. This ur two cent worth billions mehn. shadowclone: I think someone asked on here sometime ago asked about shaking the interviewers, or something of that nature. See bah, the distance between me and the interviewers yesterday was no joke. Three people staring at you; with the distance between y'all equal to that between the moon and Earth (err slightly over-exaggerated but hey, it was quite the distance).
Anyway, looking back at how my interview went (I don't know if it was good or bad, I'm sure quite a number of people would share this sentiment), I would say that dropping hints, or even outright questions that you were asked, or replying someone who asked direct questions about how the day went, with clear and non-cryptic answers, does not directly translate to helping them per se or reducing your chances of entering whatsoever. It's just sad that we have turned life itself into a competition, while forgetting that those who go together go the furthest. For instance, of all the questions that people said they were asked on here, the few questions I'd say are consistent would be "tell us about yourself" (usually the first, after they try and calm you down with small talk), and maybe news (I'm not sure if everyone was asked this). Oh and of course, the "why do you want to work here" question. It's worthy of note that these questions were not in succession. The interview was dynamic and interactive, with direct questions here and there. By and large, it's mostly what you say they ask you questions on. So you either "conquer" the battle with your sword, or fall on it and impale yourself.
And for the love of God, people who have not done their interview, know your (recent)news, business news, news that happened that day, news that is of great importance to the world, any news, and be ready to answer follow up questions on it. Also, be ready to back up your answers with cogent case scenarios. To every reply you give, use illustrations and reasonable case scenarios. In addition to all those, I was asked questions on morals and ethics.
My two cents.
All the best guys. Shalom. |
