Tudór:
Who else sees the irony??

Its no secret that majority of this cotonu sheesh involves bringing cars over the legal age limit into the country brought in through bribes to custom officials or smuggling routes.

Those days, My school and off camp apartment being close to the border its was common to hear of custom officers being shot by these criminals or pedestrians run over by speeding smugglers in an attempt to escape customs.

Now we see them here beating their chests claiming integrity and barking for people not to soil their 'good' name.

On sunday they will go to church and lift up their hands to heaven and thank god, then on monday they'll go shoot custom officers, give bribes and run over pedestrians. Some on their thread they'll give glory to god and allah for business and call gods blessings on their prospective customers.

Hey, i'm not saying you shouldnt be a criminal/murderer/smuggler/bribe giver but dont come here with the self-righteous BS.

Soon now drug dealers go begin claim integrity and hala us for spoiling their good name.
What your claims are is what i don't understand, you saying cotonou are meant for Underage car? You shouldn't bother talking about what you know nothing about, You said in your school you hear gunshot of customs and all of those, I think you don't know the different between Smuggling and Tokunbo cars, You need go get reason why the customs are shooting, but if i have to tell you, Smugglers smuggle Turkey and new material, and items that are been barned by the nigerian government, when it comes to that of car, its not up to that stage, try and get educated about issues you don't know about before you open your mouth to talk about it. I am not taking this personal, i am just teaching you what you don't know.

Thank you very much for the enquiry, i have been following your thread with respect to the bad experience you were relating about, but i stood against some fact cause i know myself as PIONEER Cars from cotonou, so i am always interested about any issue relating to it.

I buy cars taken in orders and deliver it down to your doorstep in anywhere around Nigeria.

For Client based Abroad and wants to buy a car, i could buy the car and deliver it to his/her doorstep anywhere in Nigeria without his present, but due to past experience with such cases of not having my customer with me, i get to have some telling me that the car is not clean enough and they are not giving me the 100% reward that i require they tend to give me about 50% or less, so due to this reason i insist, that abroad customers should've either there friend or relative come along with me to make the choice for them. although i have been able to do some buisness where customers wouldn't come and they see there car and they are always very happy, i just delivered an isuzu Rodeo for the Operational Manager Oceanic bank Iju, who just called me into his office on Monday and paid me the cash to get the car to his doorstep, after delivery, i was paid my commission cause that is the only thing that can be held back till delivery is done. So i would advice a representative is sent along with me,

Normally it takes 2-3 working days but i give 2-5 working days cause of some unexpected dailys that might arise from buying and clearing and also runing the custom duty and then delivery.

I don't have any problem about signing of Bond Agreement as long as the car is a duty car. what i mean in this case is that the buyer is paying custom duty on the car, those are not risky but when it involves not paying duty, anything can happen, so if i have to sign a bond Agreement, i would advice you and once you down with paying the custom duty, I would get my lawyer to sign as my witness cause my sister is also my lawyer who works with the OPD (Office of the Public Defence ). Signing of Bond Agreement is no problem with me at all,

I hope i answered your questions? if there is anyone i missed, please let me know,

@ Room,
Has there been any Fraud that has occurred out here, if there has been, i am sure the person that has been Fraud should be able to come on here and tell us how it happened, i am sure we should be able to help us, I have always stand for the integrity of cotonou dealers on here in Nairaland and would continue to, When it comes with conversion of LHD cars, Poster, i could give assistance and help about that anytime i am chanced to meet topics of such up. But Fraud isn't something that should be taken lightly as earlier said, but the truth remain also that Fraud on Nairaland can't be easily done and gone away with easily, I advice if anyone has intention of such, should get it off. Talking about feedback, i think some nairalander just don't like the ideal, take for example a man i got a 2010 Honda CRV for, i am not going to mention his name or say anything about him cause he warned me against such, He even refused my posting his car up on nairaland. some are just guest and just surfed through the site and not member, the truth is just that you have to be careful about dealing on here. Although people were not this much about buying cars in cotonou, but now that we have lots of people on here, you just have to be confidence of who you dealing with, if possible get to meet the dealer and know everything about him before dealing with him, I wish All Nairalander best of luck in buying there cars from cotonou, need any advice, i am right here to give them cool

@Poster and NLers,

I Must confess that this is a very interesting thread to get to read through mostly for intending buyers willing to buy cars from cotonou,  But i want you to know that as much as there are truthful dealers so are there the untruthful ones,  I am so proud to say that i am part of the PIONEER of car dealers from cotonou, I could remember back in September 28, 2008 when i started up my first thread about car dealers on here, the only person that had his thread coupled with mine Ayodeji,  We have tried building up this reputation and presently the reputation is still standing up there,  Regarding some foreign customers who develop interest in getting cars, from experience i could tell some of them get too greedy and fall into the hands of "port rats" so they call them,  and later decide to abandon the dealer who has been willing to give advice on how to go about buying this cars from cotonou and they find there selves hanging in the middle of nothing, dealing with someone they rather have knowledge of or how to report about him, then now call on the dealer they have once met. I believe there are still reputable dealer up here. Regarding delivery of 2-3 working days always giving to interesting dealer, there are some unexpected delay that might come in between, but the least that you could go without seeing your car is 5working days and if such case happens, i guess you have to talk with your dealer about what is really happening,

As much as we have people who are fake so i would say we have those who are not and are 100% sincere,  Unlike way back 2008 when the cotonou deal started, most Nigerians are scared of buying there cars down there because they feel, they are not safe about it and secondly the customs, but they have been advised about this and also given knowledge on what there fear should be and what it shouldn't, Since 2008, i have been able to build so much record on here and have been able to stand for any challenge regarding cars from cotonou and would still continue to,

When you are dealing with a fake agent on here, you should know from your first word conversation. Buying car in cotonou and delivery is VERY EASY. Your car could be delivered within a day and it could be delivered with 4days, depend on how your dealer operates.

@poster, please don't hesitate to drop any report you hear about car dealers from cotonou as this Thread would be checked with high consciousness and taken so important.

Thank You
