I am sorry to say you are wrong, she didn't cheat on Black, Rhoda and Peter first met after the pharmacy incident when she helped Peter after Peter was beaten and later on helped in nursing Basket back to health after then they were separated for a long time because Rhoda left PortHarcourt to stay with her mother in Lagos.

It was when Black and Basket started schooling that Basket met Rhoda(which was not the name Black knew her with) who he was always telling Black about until Basket invited her to their rented apartment and Peter seeing that the relationship is making his friend happy and decided to let go but Rhoda don't want to let it slide and have been trying to have Peter all to herself which led Peter to the incident that broke the beautiful friendship

So Peter was not betrayed by anyone at the beginning, it was just coincidence that Basket met her first the second time, remember OJB didn't get to see her before she left for Lagos because he was sick and unconscious for days from the beating he got from a fight

I don't know if I narrated it well, someone should correct me if I am wrong to avoid unnecessary misleading, but that's the best I can remember
