Fast rising blogger and a model, Lilian Oge marks her birthday today, May 17, 2017 with a launch of a new gender based magazine titled ‘The Girl Child’. The blogger announced this achievement via a press notes to her fellow bloggers in the early hours of today to demonstrate her passion for works in favour of the girl child.
“The Girl Child news magazine is set to give voice to the voiceless among the female folks and to boost the fight against all forms of women abuses in Nigeria” the Imo State born blogger said.
“As part of our plan to identify our foundation with greatness and great works for the girl child, we therefore made her Excellency, the first lady of Lagos State, Mrs. Bolanle Ambode as our front page model for the maiden edition to symbolise seriousness in the fight to end abuses to the girl child. We have chosen her excellency as our front page ambassador with a unique honorary award (Grand Commander Girl Child Projects, GCGCP) based on merit as a result of her tremendous supports and projects to reposition the status of women and their children in the state. This award is not just media and paper based it is going to be officially presented to her Excellency in the month June” She added.
The Girl Child magazine is Free. It is distributed within Lagos via top restaurants, Hotels and Travel Parks, Shopping centres, Federal and State government offices etc within the state.
