Yes Austria is also a good path,
And yes the amount you pay for verification and Legalisation of your document is alot.
it also takes a while for the whole process, but of you are patient it is a sure process for now anyway until it cast too.
Then it's advisable to legalise your documents before applying for a school, as most schools require this to give you an Admission.

That's my 2 cents.

Please we would appreciate if anyone here that has gone through the verification process with the Austrian Embassy, kindly keep us up to date.
With how it went and what to expect.
I saw someone On this thread who said he was going in August for his verification in Abuja after going to MOE and MFA.
I would appreciate if u can keep us posted with how it went.

I would appreciate this kind gesture, as it would go a long way for us.

Hello, document you would need, would depend on the course you are applying for.
All u Need to do is check the required document on the course you are applying for.
I think the school is pretty straightforward.
But if you have any other specific request you can ask. I would answer to the best of my knowledge.

Emmanuel, thanks for your help.
Currently, I am in Abuja for my verification process.

The documents you need for your residence permit are :

1. Birth certificate
2. State of origin certificate/letter from your state of origin
3. Police certificate (but you don't need that for the verification process).
I.e. after payment of the 200k, you wait till you're asked to come for the legalization itself, then you go along with your police certificate.

These above are in preparation for your residence permit.

If the school requests for other documents, you legalize them also.

For me, school was asking for all, but now, they've limited to my bachelor's degree only.

Making 4 documents to be legalized.

But I'll be taking all to the MOE and MFA first, before proceeding to the embassy.

Please is it through email that the letter would be sent because my school sent the letter with my AL but I'm yet to get an appointment. Kindly help.

You can send the letter through their Email, or fill the contact form by letting them know you have this letter or give them a call, to ask them how you can send it to them.
The thing is as Germany has stated it as one of the requirement to enter Germany due to COVID 19.
You have nothing to loose by sending it to them.

If your school gave you a letter of presence along with your AL
Then you should send that letter to the Embassy.
Also stating if you have applied for an appointment date initially. As they require a letter of presence for visa issuance now.

Please has anyone who has used the Contact form from the German Embassy website, stating they have a letter of presence from their school gotten a reply?
At least international flights are resuming by the end of August , so we ought to start getting positive responses from them.
