New custom papers for the car. What papers were you given when you paid N400k in AKURE?[/quote] |
Hello, What do you advise I do about this.? I bought a Toyota Camry 2011 at Berger in November 2014. Among the papers given to me by the dealer, was the customs paper showing they had paid N650k. For the first time, this past August, I travelled to the North, via Ondo State. I was accosted by the custom people at Owena... long story short, my car was impounded. After calling everyone I knew, I paid another duty (N400k at Union Bank in Akure, and N120k as penalty) at the customs office before collecting my car the next day. All this while, iI was calling the dealer, he told me, I should not worry, when I get back to Lagos, he will settle me. Alas, he gave me N150k last week and threatened me not to call him again... What do you think I should do. I have taken a lawyer already, but I am just hoping, I will not lose more than the N150k he has given to me... What do you think? |

Car Doctor, Please help. I need help. I have a Kia Rio 2008 (first user) bought from Kia in Nigeria in 2009. still at a mileage just below 30000, I have discovered it jerks, the gear appears not to change automatically as it should. When the car was just about 2 years old and below 15,000. I first noticed the problem, I took it to Kia, since it was still under warranty, it spent about 2 weeks with them, they were unable to detect any issue. I took back my car, since my wife was to start using it for school runs..(that did not happen anyway). I have used a code reader on it before (it detected only one fault, P0717 – Input/Turbine Speed Sensor Circuit No Signal). I have not being able to source that in Nigeria. My wife does not complain (I suppose, because it is her first car, but anytime, I drive the car... It just does not seem right). I took it to a mechanic in Agidimgbi just this past weekend, he drove the car for a bit, and suggested that we need to change the Valve Body, and change some sensors, that he will need to have the car for 2 days, that it will cost me N100k to fix... that the Gear is still good... I dont know what to do... I dont think, I can cough out N100k now... I called Kia about a new Gear, I was told it will cost me N1.6m... I explained, that I bought the car for N1.8m in 2009... how can the Gear be more costly than the Car...? What do I do? |

Hello kind people. I am in the process of tiling my 4 bedroom house in the villa. I currently require advice on the type of tiles to use and quantity required. The measurement of the rooms and sitting areas are as detailed below. Wall Toilet 1 = 15 cartons Toilet 2 = 14 cartons Toilet 3 & 4 = 20 cartons Kitchen = 15 cartons Floor Room 1 = 25sq Dinning & Sitting Room = 21sq + 34sq Room 2 & Room 3 = 40sq Kitchen & Store = 12sq + 4sq Passage,Corridor & Courtyard = 3sq + 5sq + 7sq Guest room & small passage = 13sq + 3sq An artisan, using the building plan, gave me the above estimate, though I cannot remember the type of tiles, he based is estimate for the Wall tiles on. I have also recently met a colleague, who has indicated interest in supplying the materials (so that I can pay her monthly). Firstly, I don't know the best fit tiles to use, and the pricing in Lagos. I want modern but not overly expensive materials. I also, do not want to use inferior materials or poor Chinese made products.... Over to you well meaning people |
