the Alpha 1080x requires little a no regular maintenance and the lithium batteries are easily replaceable

NOTE Tilt the street light at an angle that dirt or dust cannot easily settle on it and Ensure to regularly check the solar panels are not covered by dust or dirt (preferable once every 2 months or when u notice a reduction in performance). Excess dust or dirt affects the ability to the panels to charge the batteries properly.

Guardian PIR Motion Sensor

One of the unique features of our solar street lights is the Guardian PIR Motion Sensor feature. This makes it possible to use the street light in 3 different modes indicated by the colour displayed on the Guardian PIR Motion Sensor.

GREEN LED: Dusk to dawn (normal floodlight). PIR sensor does not work when this mode is selected.

BLUE LED: PIR motion triggered full brightness (1,300 lm), normal brightness is 150 lm.

RED LED: Light is off when no motion (complete darkness). Light comes on when PIR motion sensor is activated upon the detection of movement around the light.
This fluctuation of lighting intensity preserves battery power and also serves to increase community security by deterring unsociable activity late at night and early in the morning where these lights are installed.


NOTE: In all above working modes, the light will only come on at night (or when the day turns dark). The light does not turn on during day time.

The constant power failure in the country, health hazards and the current petrol/Diesel prices makes a solar street lighting system an economically feasible, long term and lower cost option for private individuals and corporate organisations when compared to using generators.
